Good bloody video mate. Informative, easy to understand, no BS. Thank You
Thanks for the positive comment. I am glad this video helped you with your project.
Hi, wondering if you can tell me the hardware you used. You said the threaded pan head, but wondering what was the sleeve part that you were able to tighten the cable with is? and the hardware that is on the post opposite the pan head, that you crimped what is that called? thanks so much!
Thanks for informative video, good job
Outstanding!
Hi, great video and great job.
I was wondering would you have a list of parts that you used? I'm not sure what the bolts etc you used to get a flush finish on one end?
Thanks learned a few things. Good video.
excellent video mate, thanks!
The bolts that looked to be Allen wrenches that you tightened the tension with, what is the name of those ? Sort of like a turnbuckle
Matt Ernest ya, what are those???
@@1966cambo The stainless steel fitting your talking about is called a Hex Head Tensioner M6.
Yeah nice ! But I'm used to wire fence around animals not on my porch used for my family !!!
"right about there"!? , all the way in is best i think!!!
Hi Sir do you know the name of the hydraulic crimping tool?
Thank you I'll check it out
What is the diameter size of the wire 1/8, 3/16, or something else?
DIY Made Easy much obliged for the reply.
@@RAJsWork Hi, yes the wire diameter is 3/16 (4.78mm).
Well done
Is there is a alternative to crimp the work without the expensive hydraulic press?
I know about using Unbolts, they look tacky and it's not crimped. It's possible to crimp things with a sledge hammer, but you wouldn't get that machine pressed look. I'd rather not go to a equipment rental and pay through the nose. If I ever do that sort of thing I'll fabricate a crimping gig using a bottle jack.
Yes a hydraulic hand held swager 50 to 99 bucks.
Красиво,но не экономично!
Why not use wire cutters ?
It's easier and quicker to use the grinder. If you use the cutters, you will find it harder to cut, and there is a greater chance of fraying the cable, which will make it harder to insert into the stainless steel fitting.
I don't have that large size steel wire cutter.
Great job guys!
very good
That's great if you have that crimping tool...
I didn't have it either. When I purchased all my stainless steel fittings, I just hired it from the shop.
@@DIYMadeEasy My comment was not to downplay some of the good tips you provided such as how to cut the steel rope.
So thanks! 👍
