@@Anonymous_Music no bro all GT’s are v8’s when it comes to mustangs. Your manual is not the OEM manual. Count your cylinders, look up a GT engine bay. It will not look like yours. If yours says GT and it’s a v6 then whoever had it before you upbadged it. A v6 is not a GT, period.
Hey what's the size of the flare for the straight pipes? is this a 2 1/2" id with a 2 1/2" od flare? How long are the tubes? I need to grab these before I start the project.. Need to know what to exactly get. You running headers on the stang? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the video. I’m buying a 2002 Mustang with straight pipes on it already, but I need to add catalytic converters to pass emissions where I live. Is it a simple as reversing what you just did?
@@ThatLoud3v ok so I was a scrub whenever I posted that lol. My engine light comes on if I have mufflers on. Take my mufflers off and it will go off and stay off.
Fiend of mine has a black 2000 4.6 with a muffler, h pipe, but a cat delete. It’s the best sounding car out of everyone I know
There's always time in life for a Open downpipe startup
He sounds like Shaggy 🤣
I said that to 😂
Like scooobbbsss
What about the upper cats attached tot he headers there’s 4 of them u only took 2 off
I have the same car. They last a long time and can take a hard beating
Same here I only have a v6 convertible but love theses models better than the new ones

I have an 02 V6 no cats straight piped to a pair of magna flo no baffles love it
Can I see it bro ?
Anybody else get the Jim Carrey vibe?😂😂😂
Yeah 😆
Should've put valves in the space, wouldve given you the option for stock car loud lol

should be, or put some "cats" on that look good
Sounds super good bro I have a 2000 gt and about to do the same thing lol
Will the check engine come on ?
Get Diablo blades. They'll literally cut anything like butter
What size pipe did u use ?
Just got mine straight piped today. But just wondering did you also remove the mufflers off your GT ?
It had slp loudmouths, very small glasspacks
@V8Ram360 ight, thanks for the info 👌
Yep you told me to do it 🤟
I love the air quotes " im not gonna do this either"
How did you weld those mild steel pipes? When I go to weld them on the lowest setting it burns right through the pipe.
You wouldn't go def in 5 days just no more car ride conversations I daily drove my 4.6 open header for months
The h pipe sounds better with these to be honest
Hey man thanks for the video.. Will this throw any check engine codes? Got an 03 that I have been waiting to do this on. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
Mine had a tuner so I think it had the rear o2 sensors off

How did you pass emissions without cats?
Demarquis Rush you don’t
Run a pipe through the cats

And yes I'm just a normal guy not bs. Lol
I don’t know how to weld, so could I just use clamps to attach the pipes together?
with strong enough clamps, I reckon that would work as well.
Should this guy have access to power tools.
Will I get engine light
i didnt, but i believe this car had an SCT tune, i sold it years ago now
Did you notice if the car was running to rich after you delete the CATS?
no
I wanna go catless does it hurt the car in anyway
Shouldn't, might get an engine light if you don't have a tune on it
Yes, run lean- you'll eventually get piston slap or detonation, neither is good
Hey plz reply
Is this car stock? Because if that simple trick made it sound like that, then I'm doing it
It had a bbk intake and throttle body, sct tuner, and SLP cat back
@@V8Ram360 ah, ok. Thankyou for replying.

what were those things you cut off? i never heard of cats

I really need the dimensions of the pipe do you remember?
I'm pretty sure I just cut And welded pieces from the auto parts store, I don't recall what the measurements were but it was 2.5 pipe
Would you recommend getting the straight pipe off of American muscle or my local autozone ? Idk if that makes a difference in sound
Kevin 215 looks like the ones from autozone
ahh yes cutting out the resonator not the cats :)
@XSITHX LMAO
Did you blow in from stupid town?
Mustangs didn’t have resonators until the 2011 just cats & mufflers ...
Did that in its self add power?
Did you have o2 sensors?
Zaythat3rdnigga yes he does lol, they started putting obd2 sensors in 96+

nah it's not, but it does not matter because of how good it sounds!

no, the 4.6 v8
