    Wifi Reolink is $70 today for Prime Day in July. They also have a newer white one with 3:4 head to toe and package detection for $80 but has a $10 coupon making it $70 as well.

      Wow! This is a really cool price. Regarding the package detection, I’ll go check this information on their website. Thanks for the addition, buddy! This is really important information about Reolink!

    Do I need a POE switch if I have their NVR?

    • @piplsystems
      @piplsystems  Месяц назад

      Depends of the model of Reolink nvr. You can find Reolink nvr with PoE ports on their website. In this case you don’t need PoE switch 🤝. Example: m.reolink.com/ca/product/rln8-410/

    You don't differentiate between free and subscription services so it's not helpful.

    will the poe doorbell record 24/7 with the NVR?

    • @piplsystems
      @piplsystems  12 дней назад

      Yes! Reolink PoE Video Doorbell works with Reolink NVR! Check these models of NVRs: N5MB01, N6MB01, and N7MB01.

    Do you indeed get an incoming call when someone pushes the button? There are numerous threads (even recent ones) on reddit complaining how Reolink just sends a notification that needs to be clicked to receive a call. Was this just fixed?...and for both Android and iOS please?

    • @FabianoArruda
      @FabianoArruda 4 дня назад +1

      Doesn't work as expected. I have tested this on iOS. It doesn't use the system's native incoming call interface. You still get the push notification, the only difference is that you are taken to Reolink app with a simulated incoming call interface. It's pretty useless if you ask me. I still prefer the older interface in which you can see the camera view, and then activate the mic if you want to answer. Fortunately, you can disable this fake "incoming call" interface.
      Also, the device can't handle the Reolink app and Alexa integration at the same time. I have an Echo Show 8, when I enable doorbell notifications on Alexa the device will block the mic even if you are not answering from the Echo Show, which makes it impossible to answer the doorbell using the app if you are not at home. Besides that, if you do answer using Alexa the audio is always choppy, and it will block the doorbell from ringing again for the next 10 or so minutes, if someone presses the button again you won't hear it.
      I've seen other people complaining about the same issue on Reddit for months, Reolink support to this date has not offered a solution for this bug. Stay away from the product if you plan to use with Alexa. More info here:

    Fantastic review, very clear to understand! Presumably compatible with a Synology NAS security software? Just starting down that path.

      I love comments like yours! You will always find some small detail that gives you doubts and write a similar comment))).
      I have to disappoint you, we did connect the video doorbell and it worked great. We used footage from it in this video. For example at 0:20 and in other places. Please understand that filming and editing a RUclips video is a complex process of a large team, and for example, a video editor can cut out some footage that you really wanted to see. In any case, watch our next videos and you will see that we test and check all the equipment during filming.

    I know Wi-Fi reolink door bell comes with POE option but Can I use WiFi reolink camera to connect with NVR. I dont have POE connection installed I. My front door

      Reolink WiFi cameras can be added to Reolink NVRs if they are in the same LAN. You need connect the camera to your router via WiFi by configuring WiFi settings for the WiFi camera. Then connect your Reolink nvr to the LAN port of the router. Then add your camera to your nvr.
