I live in St. Augustine and drive by the Old Jail often. My dad took me there when I was a kid and tried to lock me in the dark solitary confinement room lol
That was really interesting to learn all of that history about the jail. I can't believe how horrible the conditions were. It's a jail not a luxury hotel, but it was so inhumane.
I just went on this tour, it’s heart breaking the way they treated these people. They told us a story about a 14- year prisoner that came back to they jail as an old man.
That Jail bird or bird cage be ideal garden feature to have in the garden with a bench or maybe a swing bench with creeping Ivy plants or other creeping plants on the outside.
Also, you guys should check out the Pirate Museum in St Augustine as well! It's absolutely phenomenal and was even built with the help of Disney Imagineers! It's extremely interactive and gorgeous! 😀
St. Augustine is such an interesting city!!! Flagler College is amazing and the city's haunted tours are fascinating!!! And during Christmas the decorations are simply awesome!
Been wanting to see this one for a while....had forgotten about it, then came across it just now, so just finished watching it Good or bad, this is history.....what a harsh life this must have been? Not sure why, but I have a craving for some possum??? Happy Halloween🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
You probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me
Deputy Otis did a fantastic job authenticating what it must have been like to be an inmate at the old jail. Thanks again Deputy Otis for making it such a great experience!!
This is an old one. But I've not yet seen it. Looking forward to watching. St Augustine is my favorite place around me to ghost hunt. I'm in Jax fl. What was cool is after covid they started letting you come unguided and spend some time (at night) investigating on your own! Even have some equipment to use. My son took me for a birthday. I'm not sure if they're still doing that particular one bc I tried to take a friend & didn't see it? They do however hate a longer. Late night 1 with investigators that looks cool. Just dawned on me.. this is the first time I've seen Jess without her 💚 hair. ❤
You are absolutely right about St.Augustine being similar to Savannah. I visited Savannah because I loved St.Augustine so much and I was not disappointed! Savannah is now my favorite place in the whole world!! 🥰 Anyways, you guys should come back here some day and do the ghost tour!! It's super fun and interactive and they throw in some unexpected scares at you too! I think you'd really enjoy it! ☺️
Definitely Stanley Kubrick! Watching this episode reminds me of him. Both of you in the mirror reminds me of the scene in The Shining when Wendy brings Jack his breakfast and we see Jack in the mirror and all the other mirror shots like the gold room and red bathroom scene. Love the shot you did in this video🎥!
I mean him answering the questions after the short drop method isn't that surprising other than the length of time he answered them and his ability to stay calm and answer questions while he slowly choked to death. In fact that's why the long drop method, ideally twice the length of a man, was adopted which broke the neck and seen as more human because it resulted in almost always a immediate death! However one could argue that depending on why that person was being hanged should have played a part in which hanging method was used! There are still states today where the prisoner or judge can choose the method of death such as firing squad, hanging, chair and gas! However shouldn't the victims family make that choice?
Grimmlife Collective another great day. It was sad about the treatment of the prisoners. In today's world. Some prisons still don't treat very nice. Let's check this place out. Shell we?
Finally getting caught up on all your videos. Love them all! Btw....I live in Kentucky, so if your travels take you my way, please let me know! Would love to meet you and take you to some of our "grim" locations! Love you guys.
Thank you for watching and following our travels. One day we will make it up that way to your neck of the woods...this year we are going to be doing a lot of traveling. So stay Tuned!
Haven't been to the old jail in forever! I need to go back, I mainly go down there for pizzAlley! I drive 30 to 45 minutes just for food lol 😆! Which I don't mind. Next time y'all are down, please try it and Anastasia Island state park. Definitely worth it! Jax (Jacksonville) doesn't have much and wished we did. Cumberland island is also a good place to visit, including the beach, wild horses and turkeys, the chapel where the Kennedy's got married, ruins of an mansion that was on fire at one point. (just be careful of the snakes in the tree) etc.
They transport you on a bus?! That's cool..haha headless prisoners..that's nice..for 10k..that jail looks pretty nice..mistaken for a hotel haha..I know a few people that could use that bird cage for an attitude adjustment 🤣 I like the Gallows..cool place..awesome video..thank you!!!
We went at the night tour the guys who started it is really nice my brother caught something really weird by the noose it was a pair of legs that belonged to no one
i am late but i was here yesterday and me and my moms friend saw a orb thing and something that looked like a demon, it was really cool and we heard about the man that killed his wife and everything it was a cool experience i really loved it haha im only 12 but it was really fun i went twice one alone and one for the ghost tour thing. haha then i went a got ice cream after 😂
I've been there the only vibe I received is I felt the old Sheriff sexualy abused prisoners. That's all that spoke to me. No doubt there was a secret society of those with stature and wealth how the money that was funded to make the jail look better was earned from sexual abuse to pay for wealthy people. I kept feeling dread in a strange way there just had that vibe but yes haunted town for sure
If that's the original steel shower just think about all the dead babies that were left behind in that shower by those men! Make sure to wear your shoes to the shower because you'll get athletes foot!
St. Augustine used to be the funniest old beat up hippie beatnik town in the 80's. Now it sucks! Even all the souls have departed. Used to be really soulful..not anymore. It's the armpit of Disneyland. All the locals have left.
I rather tour something of history than where to get good Philly cheesesteaks in Philly lol 😆. I live close enough to St. Augustine, I don't remember the last time I did a tour. I mainly gonto eat. The night of lights is definitely a tourist trap. It's the samething every year. It would be nice if they actually changed it up every year or two.
This is great💚💚💚💚working my way through y’all’s catalog bit by bit and never am I disappointed
I live for these 2018-2019 grimm life collective vids. They are my comfort videos.
Come back to PA soon.
I’m also seeing how much me and Jessica are alike, she touches the history and can feel the past as well ❤❤
The tour guide was really good, I really enjoyed him.

Jessica, your hair makes the beauty of your face come alive. Brighter and glowing. You need this color.
St. Augustine is one amazing city. I try to go at least twice a year. I think I’ve taken every history and haunted tour possible.
we enjoyed it on vacation from Minnesota. St. Augustin was the best. the haunted tour was great, especially at night.

I just went on this tour, it’s heart breaking the way they treated these people. They told us a story about a 14- year prisoner that came back to they jail as an old man.
I remember going there with my parents as a kid in the mid 70’s .. was very cool seeing all the different stuff !!
Yea I went here with my dad in 1994...its crazy cause I just pulled a picture out of us in front of the place, so it made me look it up haha
That Jail bird or bird cage be ideal garden feature to have in the garden with a bench or maybe a swing bench with creeping Ivy plants or other creeping plants on the outside.
One of my favorite cities, St. Augustine, I live about an hour away in Marion County.
Good to teach young teens to stay out of trouble!❤️

Michael looked like Freddie Krueger with the light behind him standing in that jail cell
What a great tour!
Wow, the guided tour was really informative but sad as heck! It's never fails to surprise me how cruel we can be a species.

Around 24:30 I hear a little boy saying "Hii"

imagine how much less crime there would be today if prisons were run like this today.

Afraid about locking in there augustines .....ha ha ha ha ......its normal .....😂😂
Is it really haunted?
I live nearby...I have my doubts. I never experienced anything. I think a lot is faked for tourism sakes. Not saying real stuff doesn't happen at all.
Not anymore.

What you tuned into was the St. Augustin of the 50' and 60's. It is nothing but a fake joke now. Made me vomit.
What about the 7 that were hung at the same time.
