Your Evan has a beautiful voice, but he needs to not able afraid to get loud and emotional. He sounds like he's trying to protect his voice and make it perfect. He just needs to slam it. Otherwise, the performance was absolutely lovely. I wish I could see more!

And I just saw the show in Broadway, and there wasn’t any point I saw where she was dancing, so maybe this answered that kind of missing part of the plot. Obviously they can’t show everything, but you know why not have some fun and bring a little reinterpretation. : )
should this ever be performed again i STRONGLY advise the ensemble do the background vocals, the song lacks power without them, but evan was amazing and i really enjoyed the choreography!

Constructive Critism: you're a really good actor. Like REALLY good but what holds you back is how reserved you are. One of the main reasons Dear Evan Hansen has such a wide fanbase is because of the emotion which I feel this performance lacked. Your voice is terrific and you have all the 'right' stuff. I'd recommend not being so hesitant. Remember, you're stepping into this characters shoes, if you feel emotion, portray that. I get that the emotion kinda disappears after a while, gets stale. But sometimes is a necessity. And with this song, you need that emotion to establish Evan's character. Good job to you and your cast mates anyways. Especially the girl who played Zoe. She seems like she did a good job.
I actually like this choreography better than the original. It makes it so much more clear that Evan is socially awkward. It just goes so perfectly with the music and I really loved Zoe's part. It was so clean and talented! I really wish they did the entire play

As far as production quality goes, this is a fantastic performance, but having seen the show I don't agree with all of the choices that were made. The ensemble were too involved through the piece as a whole. It's fine for them to come out in the end like in the original, but the majority of the song should be very personal and intimate. The choreography also felt distracting. I felt more focused on Evan's pursuit for Zoe than his overall desires to simply break out of his shell. However, it's clear that's the story you were trying to tell, and you did it splendidly. It especially helped to move his scene with her to the beginning.
For whoever likes this song, there is a guy called Thomas Sanders who did an amazing cover of this song with another guy called Ben J Pierce and Dodie Clark, if you're a fan of DEH definitely go check it out

The choreography in this is stunning, wow. The sequence from 2:30-3:10 is visually interesting and musical. Using Zoe as kind of a human prop was really interesting. You were amazing as Evan! Don't be afraid of the high notes because if you had just gone for them it would have been even better, but you were GREAT.
It's was amazing how much effort they put into this. I mean, my school wouldn't take it seriously. They'd just say it's gay even thought this song isn't what so ever or they'd just not try and say it's akward. And to be honest I'm a socially akward person, a bit like Evan but I can be weird sometimes too, but at least I can try to take something like this seriously, depending on what part I play. So what I'm saying is, they did great and I could never Imagen anyone comparing.And if anyone read all this, you're neat :3
