- This week we are diving into a late 1950s/early 1960s LeCoultre Memovox! With a rich watchmaking history, this piece represents the innovative technology the brand was pioneering in the mid-1900s.
It is currently for sale in our shop, and you can check it out, along with many other incredible preowned pieces at windsortime.com. Have questions? Drop us a comment or email us at sales@windsortime.com.
I have a JLC Memovox in a travel alarm clock configuration. It's a beauty!
Another fascinating and informative episode. Nice job Ben and Noah.
Great video!
Amazing video with wonderful shots!
Admittedly I learned so much about the history of LeCoultre/Jaeger-LeCoultre post-recording of this in regards to when Jaeger merged with LeCoultre (which was apparently in the late 1930s!). It is wild to see how long the simple “LeCoultre” name was retained on certain watches - and also apparently it very much depended on the market as well.
So you've gone Memovox. NOW you need to go to the OG- the Cricket
Nice design will never go out of style. Another interesting anecdote regarding the Memovox alarm system is that the details engineered by JLC for their Polaris models are quite different in order to improve their underwater acoustics.
These videos keep getting better. Great setting and nice/relaxed conversation. A beautiful watch, in amazing condition, with mechanical alarm at a great price point, can't ask for more. Happy Thanksgiving!
