You should have seen how emotional was he (Rassie) when he was I guess at the airport coming back from the world cup host ,he was crying seeing how South Africans came in their numbers celebrating and cheerishing the victory of the world cup. He is our best coach ❤
In SA we have our differences but when we stand together we fight for eachother
Shoutout to you...I know this video and get emotional every time I watch it...
Today, my heart went out to you..sending good energy your way and all that is good, as well as for your channel.
Rassie, the coach, come from the apartheid era, and for him to have the much love for his players is so heartwarming..
There are those people who unfortunately never watched rugby until recently who have a lot to say about transformation in the game etc...and look at him because he is an Afrikaans white man and bring up race when it comes to team selection.
This man doesn't select the best rugby players..he made it clear, he selects players with a winning going into battle mindset.
And mindset is absolutely important and so is empathy which he has shown over and over again... you will often see him get emotional about his team and the country..
So will be sad to see him leave the Springboks In a few years but he will forever by the most legendary coach
Greatly appreciate the kind words, and this video I felt what he was saying fr
I've been following rugby since 2007, and I can say Erasmus and pure emotional, the sprigbokes have their soul. A good soul has no color or race or and or not.
I'm all so too genuine, so can relate.
Burning the midnight oil over here in South Africa and looking for new reacts (keeps me motivated while I work late night).
Mapimpi is a living legend, and so is Rassie. Madiba had the right of it when he said that sport and music bring people together. What makes Rassie such a great coach is that he admits how arrogant he was as player and early in his career. He is a genuine person who drives people to collaborate and to face their own weaknesses.
Thank you for this from the southernmost tip of Africa.
Mapimpi came from extreme poverty. Mother died, never knew his father. He had to save his sister from getting raped by an uncle. He is a true testiment of hope, resilience and perseverance. And the fact that he scored the first try, in history, in a RWC final for SA is an extraordinary achievement. He is the definition of a hero. His humbleness also transcend others.
The Springbok Jersey is extremely heavy to wear. It comes with huge expectations of millions of South Africans. Having spoken to some players, they consider their fellow springboks as family with bonds forged in the hottest of furnaces. Those who wear the Green and Gold are superhero's. They go to war for us, win or lose. In truth, Mapimpi could've put the entire springbok squad pictures and/or millions of South Africans who revere and love this man for who he is and what he's done. what an inspiration. Also, Rassie is the GOAT!
Damn I sob every time I watch this.
I'm sorry for your losses. Never stop being genuine.
There are still angels walking among us
I love Mapimpi so much
