For those who don’t know… these songs were shelved and never completed because Phil Spector was problematic during the sessions so her husband/manager Rene Angelil shut it all down. It worked out well for Celine, who went on to record the record-breaking Falling Into You album shortly after. Celine will probably never agree to officially release these songs… but they are such a treasure. Various versions of these Celine/Phil songs are out there… on tapes. Such an interesting chapter in Celine Dion’s English recording career. I do hope they’re officially released someday.
It's not too late, they can still release "Is this what I get for loving you," "Simply the Best," "Can't Help Falling In Love with You," and "Oh Christmas Tree." They can just edit out the background noise or something 😢
