    Just wanted to say that I saw your black kitty cat playing with the end of the silk. I have two black ones myself and they would definitely be doing the same. 😂

    So are you able to use one card of silk per mala? I’m wondering if those are 6 or 8 sized beads as well. Thank you for answering

    Just found this video and its great! Thank you! My question is does the focal bead count in the 108 beads?

    • @theweekendmystic
      @theweekendmystic  10 месяцев назад

      Not generally, no. It's the "guru" bead -- a nod to your teacher or the intention. 😊

    So beautiful. What string size do you recommend for 6mm beads and 8mm beads? Thank you

    • @theweekendmystic
      @theweekendmystic  2 года назад +1

      Most of the time I recommend 0.8mm Griffing silk, not doubled. If you're using doubled cord, you'll want to go 0.45mm or thereabouts. I wrote a more in-depth article about mala cord here if you're interested! :)

    I really enjoy how you do the knots without tweezers. I am very new to this and am so happy to finally be able to the knots with tweezers :). Now can practice without.

    Counting goes much quicker if you count out 4 piles.....of 27. Quicker than poop thru a goose.
