The whole reason my sister puts her hair in braids is bc she doesn’t take proper care of it even when it’s in braids and she has straitened her hair some over the past year or two but every single day so it’s also absolutely fried
me too, tbh the only haircare i did is washing my hair 2 times using the different shampoo, and if i want to be a little bit fancy i'll use conditioner before washing my hair and let it sit for 5-10 minutes, i cant imagine doing too much routine, tho i can tell people that doo many routine and not, so the result really show of
i’m white and my gf is black and wears braids. i however, have autism and LOVE undoing her braids. it’s the most satisfying thing in my mind and i can it done quickly now because i love it so much. i’ve secretly been learning from her sister and mom how to do braids so i can surprise her by helping her with her hair soon.
as a dancer, I used to think taking my hair out of a super tight, geled and hairsprayed bun after 10 hours felt sooo good but braids must feel 100x better considering that they stay in for way longer than just a day. when ever my sister would french braid my hair i would be on the verge of tears on how painful it is!! i couldnt even imagine getting tons of little tight braids all over my scalp, i would go into a coma! It takes me around 4 usually 😅 I get distracted and end up cleaning something before I'm done. It takes like 10 hours total for me to do my own head of box braids so taking them down is definitely quicker

You can use the tip of a rat tail comb, it feels soooo good. Nice if you don’t want to mess up a ponytail or bun too. Some people like pat their head also and that can help with an itch

Mine normally takes two days because I keep getting distracted. But the last time I was taking mine out I had to go to the salon by 10 am tmrw and it was 10 pm. So I had to finish quickly. Overall it took me four hours

I’ve gained a new respect. As a straight hair girly (technically wavy but my hair weighs it down) I do not have this problem of taking my hair out. I do struggle to take my hair out of a ponytail but that is not the same. Props to anyone who’s done this and y’all look so stunning!!

Try using a hard brush with bristles. It cuts my unbraiding time in half… I have like a brush and it has combs on it, it works wonders.
