@Mz Siel not necessarily, though if you don't have a farming character (0 mp trash killer) she'll be a great addition. If your roster is limited though, some of Wils other suggestions are gonna be a better fit. The only one I didn't hear I'd put on that list, albeit at the bottom, is Alter Toova. She makes everyone 0 mp for the first round, which allows you to make a steal-farming team with Kid and Colette. Can save some time collecting grasta mats.
Since I have ES Hismena, not sure it's worth it to get Flam... on top of that, my base comp is with Violet Lancer, so I never use MP to grind... Wondering if I won't take the new Tsukiha... Anyway, thanks for this video ^^ it helps :)
@@Misiuzgaming I could be wrong but from what I remember Alter Toova's passive of first turn 0mp only works if she's in the front line. I believe AS Otoha's passive works even if she's in the back row. AS Otoha frees up that 4th space if needed, and can also serve as a good grasta holder for earth/katana/eastern at the same time. Good stuff.
I want to thank you gamer dad. I wanted to show support so I decided to grab the starter pack ( first off how cool was greeted with a ty for purchase & they have integrated the little guy w the bag etc ; most games would not have gone that far ) I actually feel happy to support a game that isn't shoving 3000% offer pop ups in my face an feels like a real jrpg. I digress ; so I didn't know who to pick since I'm new so I trusted your judgment. After choosing flamm an encountering my first enemy I just chuckled in joy lol. Strong aoe is always something you can't go wrong with in a gacha game especially like this where mobs pop up on your way to quest. Idk how far she'll take me but I know for now as a new player she will serve me well. Ty again for taking time to break things down I really appreciate it 🙏
For those discussing Flamme as a possible pull don't forget there is soon to be a AS version of her. Might want to take that into consideration. Can always look at her on Altema and decide if having her normal version is worth the roll.
AS Radias (Prominence Purge with Zone active/cycle Type Res Up/Power Down)+ AS Mistrare (Singing) + AS Otoha (Cat Kagura) + Any unit with either Type Res Up or Int Down (Can put a grasta for a good debuff skill if needed) = You can now turtle the whole game and almost every superboss while completely invincible (not all, there's a few that require fast dps, no shield will save you as one hit kill mitigation is gone after 3 Chivalry.) By no means is this a GOOD strategy, it's just A strategy (Worked for me!). Lol.
To maximise this (avoiding dupes), I think the best is to wait. On the next update, there's a 10 day whispers of time with guaranteed 5 star at the end. Also, nearing the end of Jan will be the best time to use the free trials if available (to enjoy 3 months of rewards). That alone comes with the 7 stars pull.
As a probability nerd I do love your cost benefit analysis to pull on banners. Although the video was long I was ok with it. I found every bit of it useful in making my decisions and as a mostly f2p player your videos play a big role in my decision making.
I’ve used the SDE for Yukino, since I had all the treatises to sidegrade her and I have at least any form of any other unit, so I can now sidegrade anything released until now
wil mak there is a tough post chapter 4 main/true end of vortex event story puzzle one that might involve a wrong word/translation? error of sorts regarding one of the three locked houses fyi (it'll be the first one you get for a storage room key (locked house on right you'll unlock) as what it says on the clue do the opposite direction from what is written on the clue i recommend as it helped me solve it (or until the game devs fix it (right left right) i won't say the actual puzzle solution so you can solve it yourself
I'm actually planning to break my F2P status and buy the starter pack for the SDE, probably using it for RCF. I also want Flamme but I'll take my chances on her future banner
I had an extremely good time with both my 7 Star Encounter and my 10 pull for the SDE. On my 7SE I got Orleya and since I already have Milena ES and I can sidegrade into both Miyu ES and Victor AS already that's an instant thunder team. On my SDE ten roll I got Isuka ES, my first Isuka of any style so I can eventually sidegrade into any of her other forms. Lastly I used my Star Piece to get Flamme, finally rounding out my water magic team. I already have Alter Shion, Necoco AS, Claude ES and so on so I think I'm pretty much set. Now I can save my stones for the part 3 character or the global first character if they come out.
I found a Varuo in Baruoki in the phantom crystal domain last night. Now I have my alter Hismena safe and secure, so my star dream is safe. Looking at my roster in the new Wiki collection tracker, there are five characters I have no form of: Elga, Heena, Ilulu, Cetie, and Hardy. Heena's got an AS coming, so she's out. I don't care for Ilulu. I don't like Hardy either, but Mom is advocating for me to get him, since AS Hardy is still being used. But on pure fondness, I like Elga best after Heena. Ah, decisions are hard... Dad's getting Flamme, no question. Mom will be getting Alma finally. This video had great in-depth analysis! It's very interesting to see how your thoughts have changed with the introduction of new units.
Congrats on the Alter Hismena! Of the ones you’re missing I agree AS Hardy would be the most valuable at the moment. Who knows, maybe ES Elga is on the way and you can go for her then!
46 minutes on a 'should you summon'? Count me in! I got Alma immediately. The only character I don't have any form of now is Lovely and hopefully I can get Minalca in the future. WFS massiveky spoiled us with free stones over the last few weeks and now we have another campaign. Got to 6.2k stones with login bonuses, watching advertisements and a few rewards from the collab.
I picked Orleya simply because she is the only NS I don't have. I can get AS/ES's doing farming. New ES I haven't used yet (2x 10 pulls), but will soon. I'm kind of stoked for her.
Alter Tsukiha is amazing paired with alter Dewey since it extends Another zone to 7 turns and also provides an crazy amount of offensive support, I made a video showing her changing elements
I was actually going to choose Cetie AS, but I ended up getting him yesterday at one of those banners. Probably gonna skip this one, cause I already have Claude ES, Alter Shion, Flam 4.5(I'll just try to upgrade her to 5 star) and Cetie AS. Those four alone are really helping me to get through harder content that I've been stuck at for a long while. While Mighty, Foran AS, Shannon AS, Mariel AS, and a few other have helped me as a backup team.
Yea Flam is the GOAT. She is always in my party. Unless i have to fight a boss that will take many turns like nameless girl or wrapped alma i will always use her. Other than that i think RFC and Eva are must have 10/10 units. Also Eva > alter Hismena. I was lucky enough to get her but i cant see her replacing Eva as a water unit. Thanks for the lengthy update!

Lol I shouldn't have pulled for alter tsukiha but when I started the game after a super long break for the third time a year ago she was my first character es. So I stupidly spent my only 1k and I got her first multi! Thanks for all your videos will looking forward to hearing your thoughts on her cuz I have no idea if she's good haha Happy new year
8 summons for the alter unit (failed to get this time) and for the star dream: overall got some boosts plus bertrand as unlocked and again for a boost, unlocked nikeh as, got gambarrel, then star dreamed dunarith to get him out of the way next star dream target likely to be shigure in the future for now as the last old unit (with eva after as the cutoff between old and new units and flammelapis being the other new unit i don't have along with alter tsukiha that i'll have to grind her opus's and chant scripts for) but boy lot of level grinding including for nona and laclaire's weapon too

Choose to use the star dream on jet shion as I have plenty of free stones to try when the As flam banner comes out and already pulled As necoco and alma on the fireside banner
In my opinion I would say Pizzica or Radias AS. Prioritize banner pulls on the alter units since opus are very hard to farm. Eva and Flammelapis are great units, but I feel like Pizzica and Radias AS can be used for almost any team comp if you don't have to brute force a boss down in a low number of turns. Agree with Alma as well I put her in the same category as Eva and Flammelapis. In the right setup just like Eva and Flam she can carry the team. Claude ES, Yipha AS and Necoco AS are great support units. I think I would wait on them and prioritize the others first though. Pizzica offers status clear, heals with mp regen and moves to boost dps if needed. Radias AS is just an amazing tank I think the best one you can get right now in my opinion. The chivalry move she does can negate any damage no matter how much damage the enemy does. It's limited to a certain amount of moves I think 3 or 4 times, but that's enough time to debuff the enemy. If you add heal on top of that like uquaji on the bench she can last for a long time without a dedicated healer in the front.
@@WilMakGamerDad thanks Wil I would normally go dps you know a damage dealer, but I think there are some great f2p options that can get it done. Aldo, Gariyu, Serge etc....I mean we have some options we can work with not really sure about the new tales of arise units. I really haven't messed with them much yet, but maybe Lloyd or Alphen not sure about them yet honestly.
Was to late to watch your stream. despite do not want to pull, my hands got the itch so did 4 10x pulls (1SDE), gotten 3 golden doors, no tsukiha... Had to use my SDE for her! Was thinking of getting necoco AS (got both normal style) but do want my 16 lights/shadow for alter tsukiha haha. Do note that Alter SDE are consider new unit by itself so it all the way behind.
Thank you for the detail insight. But as a newbie that's just start for 2-3days I'm having trouble matching the units you mention with the in game picture. Since I don't know all of them🤣

Contrary to popular belief. AS mistrare is most reliant on zones and support. The difference is that in most fights AS mistrare will not a tank at all. Her damage mitigation and healing with debuffs are quite broken. The thing is without alter dewey, AS yipha and zones AS mistrare's weakness of having low stacks cannot countered. I would still not recommend getting AS mistrare. But you misunderstand the purpose of Mistrare is to completely remove tanks from your wind team. And AS mistrare can participate in AFs just fine and you activate song at the very end when it will remove one hp stopper for you. Now that alter tsukiha is in the game, I can change element to make AS mistrare powercreep on pizzica in fire zone as well. Although admittedly she is but wierd where I see her used a lot more in JP but not on global.
Sorry, I wasn't able to do that because I wanted to get the info out as soon as possible. Hopefully the AE wiki will help you look up the units I mentioned. It has a LOT of info, and even I go there to double check.
Premium starter pack 1k stones used. 9x trash and 4.5 Melina dupe. I was thinking hard between Alma or Orleya (hope i dont broke before Flam banner). Will told me yesterday go for Alma and i did it !!! First it was who helps me more with superboss fights, but in the end i choose Alma not Orleya beacouse i just like her more and i cant wait to play her quests :)
I'm about two weeks in and with my first 3 ten pulls grabbed AS Necoco then did 17 ten pulls for Kelkale Claude but only got his OG form and a 5 star OG Felmina, 4.5 OG Isuka & 4.5 OG Yipha (oof ). Then I spent 1k gems on a paid banner that got me Alter Hismena ( yay! ). Took 3 ten pulls to grab a double Alter Tsukiha on the last one then did a star dream and got nothing but with my free pick I grabbed Pizzica. Now to save until I get to 20k gems again.
I actually stop playing for almost a year and half, and just got back in the game a month ago, and luckily enough got 4 star flam and easilly farmed her tome, also got tsubame as, and got toova alt with the free seven stars peice , and all stories and most boss fights I encounter went smoothly. Farmed as radias, and pulled for as necoco and alt hismena, also got alma in the process. I'm still thinking who to get in sde, Im also 1 codex away on getting miyu es, and can buy the codex to get suzette es. btw Flam literally bodies every boss and mobs except boss with null/absorb water ( until I got necoco AS lol ).
I've got Tsukiha alter 10x pull 2 times! But a new problem came, I don't know which quest I have to start! Quest character or Wanderer in the Vortex chapter 4
So many units to choose from and I have no idea what to pick, guess I'll wait for the next star dream encounter once I have a better understanding of what I need. Also, I think adding pictures of the character you're talking about could help. It's hard to follow through when you're talking about units without any illustration

While I would love to have her Flam, I'm satisfied with Tsubame and will hopefully get some form of Flam when her AS banner drops. Though deserves the 1st pick for other players. I broke my F2P for the cheap pack, but the game deserves if for providing me so much joy, so my choices were either Alma or Pizzika, but since I find more value in a new zone (and have every available Crystal unit) I will pick Alma, but after Minalca and the new Anni unit drops. I've been extremely lucky since December though, lots of chants dropped, and managed to get Alter Hismena within 10 days of her release from 2 PCD and the rare dungeon Sensationalist, and since I don't have Melina, Hismena is now my water blunt unit. 😅
Pretty crazy detail here. I bought the one off $10 1k stones and I'm getting flam. Not waiting for her AS. The others which I agree are good I have at least 1 copy and I'll wait to upgrade them
I hear all your arguments about other units in favour of Eva, but then I go back to the game and Icicle Zorch goes Brrrr against basically all horrors and the Miglance Castle boss :p. There's so much meta consideration in this game, but I use Eva and Cyan Scyther for like 80% of what I actually play. I guess I could SDE Flam as a replacement for my Eva, but she's done me proud for like 6 months straight now so would be a shame to drop her.
I still use Eva, Flamme, RCF and Aisha in the same team currently and it works well. It’s just that I have to recommend based on my future predictions which can be tough. No doubt, Eva is still awesome!
Thanks again for all your informative videos! Was wondering who you would recommend based on my roster/situation? I'm just over a year into the game and recently finished the main story. Also have a majority of the side content done (character quests, episodes, etc). But haven't really fought any superbosses or manifest weapons yet... I have Flamme (with 66 light from the free +5 every month), recently sidegraded Alter Shion, and already have NS Necoco. Have AS Hismena with 2/3 opus for Alter Hismena. Have both Alma and Orleya (and recently sidegraded ES Miyu to go with her) Have NS Claude. Selected Pizzica from a previous star dream. Can currently sidegrade AS Mistrare but don't think I need her. Have NS Yipha with 3/5 treatise so could buy the other two right now and sidegrade. Also have the original 5 alters (including RCF) Don't have Eva. Just pulled Ipha on first pull and have 25k free stones so could pull for Eva instead of using sde? Or better to save stones for future? Another question: have Aldo up to 247 light now, who should I grind light/shadow for next? Thanks!
Hmm good question. You seem to have the majority of the meta units out there. Do you have a flash zone setter (Melissa/AS Hardy)? AS Radias is a consideration too if you need a tank. Eva is decent but like I said I feel Alter Hismena can handle her role. As for grinding light/shadow you can work on Curio, or the unit that coincides with the tomes you want for VC grasta.

I'm really torn between Alter Hismena and AS Radias I know that AS Radias can keep a team alive for a very long time because defensively I have a lot of trouble surviving And Alter Hismena seems really useful but I still have trouble understanding how she works
Alter Hismena can, at the start of battle, change her weapon type to the majority of your front line. So if you have 2 pierce units in front, she permanently converts to pierce for that battle. So she's flexible for all weapon zones and has high DPS and offensive support too with break stacking.
Hi Wil! I could use some advice going into this star dream pull. I have been saving my last 1k paid stones and likely will not be buying any more paid stones for at least 6 months-1 year. I am only missing in any form Lovely I have almost all the latest/recent meta units, so I'm leaning toward AS Necoco or ES Tsukiha as they just dropped. I have 2 fraulen opuses so I'm only one away from midnight hismena, and I don't see much utility in the other recentish ones I'm missing (AS Biaka, AS Lele, AS Yukino)
I’ve used AS Yukino and she’s amazing for a pierce zone setter. And don’t use the SDE on Lovely 😅. But seriously probably Alter Tsukiha only since opuses are harder to come by
I just created new account and got Necoco AS and Alter Tsukiha, bought starter kit and chose Melissa. My main account got 135 characters but no Melissa
4k stones on Alter Tsukiha and ended up getting NS Tsukiha instead. Fortunately, I've got 10+ of all 3 of her tomes. Leaves my SDE available for one of my 8 remaining gaps. Flamme is the only "not older" character (newest after that is Garam). Looking forward to testing her out. As an aside, is ES Tsukiha still worth using? I like pierce teams. AS Shiela + AS Yukino is a superb two part set up for others. Wondering if ES Tsukiha has anything I'd want to play with?
Im using Tsukiha ES, Sheila AS, Yukino AS and Pizzica as my standard boss team. She do really crazy dmg in this setup. You need first get her stacks, thanks to this she is bad at 1T AF strategies, but with rest of girls in this team you can survive a lot and this is not big problem :)
Congrats on Tsukiha! At least you can sidegrade. ES Tsukiha pain start is perfect for farming teams and she’s still very viable in wind pierce dps teams.
Idk who to pick for this SDE.. I don't have Alma or Hismena. I have Flamme and the best picks besides AS Shion. But I have Shion I believe so I can side-grade..

Got 4.5 OG Suzette on guaranteed while the rest are bronze...what a depressing pull. Spent 5k CS on AS Necoco and 3K CS on Alter Hismena banner and only got a bunch of dupes 4.5. Missed Alma and Orley. Now I'm conflicted between Alma, Orley, AS Necoco, and Alter Hismena as I have none of them.
Tough choice. I would say AS Necoco but any of the four are great. Don’t forget you can buy the guaranteed Necoco and then use another 1k paid for SDE the Alma/Orleya.

Alright big post asking for advice here haha. I’m mostly f2p (I bought the premium beginner kit) Based on the video I got some good ideas but I’m still I’m having trouble deciding who I should pick. I have a decent amount of NS units including a lot of the ones mentioned here. So im thinking of using my star piece on someone I don’t have any form of. Is it also wise to skip units you can pull from the regular pulls? (For example I’m missing Melina, Hismena, etc) Out of alters I have Cyan Cyther I’m thinking of skipping perfectShion since I have AS Rosetta and it’s technically farmable. Here are other units I don’t have any form of: Orelya* Eva Daisy Pizzica* Gambarrel Melody Ewella Milsha* Melissa Heena Victor Cynthia- lost tome pulls Zeviro Premaya Hismena - fruit of guidance pulls* Philo Tsubame Biaka Radica -celestial tower pulls Elga* Melina -time mine pulls Dewey Veina Shanie Cetie Mariel* *= units I feel like I’ve heard are used a lot. Currently my most stacked teams are Blunt- es Suzette, as ewan, Amy, yipha, with others to plug in as needed -lokido, hardy, cerrine, myunfa, prai, skull, etc Water- AS Annabel, mighty, flam, laclair, (levia/saki reserve) Magic- as Rosetta, mighty, flam, as dunarith, (starky, gariyu, clarte, etc as needed) Anyway suuuper long winded. Any suggestions would be great. I just unlocked present garulea for reference.
No problem. I don’t recommend pulling on the regular banners until at endgame since the old banners have no chance of getting the newest units. Of the units you’re missing I would probably go with Orleya for thunder zone especially since you have Necoco, Shion in some form, and Flamme. And yes don’t pick a unit that you have one form of. Grinding is part of the game and is the main way that f2p can upgrade their roster. Hope this helps!

It’s up to you but yes overall at this point I like Flamme more. Her Neptune just raw dps is higher potential than Eva and both can be used together. Of course it’s not needed. Remember AS Flamme will be coming so you’ll have the ability to sidegrade as well.

RCF would be a great choice considering you already have Eva. But it depends if you want to strengthen your water magic DPS team, or have RCF fit in any elemental team.

Fireside cat has been a brutal banner for me 9000 stones no AS Neccoco🥹, I have her regular 5 star but don’t have any idea where her treaties are most common
Treatises all randomly drop as rare rewards in red key and Garulea dungeons. No one dungeon is better, it's just RNG, so use those keys, and good luck!

For those discussing Flamme as a possible pull don't forget there is soon to be a AS version of her. Might want to take that into consideration. Can always look at her on Altema and decide if having her normal version is worth the roll.
AS Radias (Prominence Purge with Zone active/cycle Type Res Up/Power Down)+ AS Mistrare (Singing) + AS Otoha (Cat Kagura) + Any unit with either Type Res Up or Int Down (Can put a grasta for a good debuff skill if needed) = You can now turtle the whole game and almost every superboss while completely invincible (not all, there's a few that require fast dps, no shield will save you as one hit kill mitigation is gone after 3 Chivalry.) By no means is this a GOOD strategy, it's just A strategy (Worked for me!). Lol.

To maximise this (avoiding dupes), I think the best is to wait. On the next update, there's a 10 day whispers of time with guaranteed 5 star at the end.
Also, nearing the end of Jan will be the best time to use the free trials if available (to enjoy 3 months of rewards). That alone comes with the 7 stars pull.
As a probability nerd I do love your cost benefit analysis to pull on banners. Although the video was long I was ok with it. I found every bit of it useful in making my decisions and as a mostly f2p player your videos play a big role in my decision making.
I’ve used the SDE for Yukino, since I had all the treatises to sidegrade her and I have at least any form of any other unit, so I can now sidegrade anything released until now
wil mak there is a tough post chapter 4 main/true end of vortex event story puzzle one that might involve a wrong word/translation? error of sorts regarding one of the three locked houses fyi (it'll be the first one you get for a storage room key (locked house on right you'll unlock) as what it says on the clue do the opposite direction from what is written on the clue i recommend as it helped me solve it (or until the game devs fix it (right left right) i won't say the actual puzzle solution so you can solve it yourself

I'm actually planning to break my F2P status and buy the starter pack for the SDE, probably using it for RCF. I also want Flamme but I'll take my chances on her future banner
I had an extremely good time with both my 7 Star Encounter and my 10 pull for the SDE. On my 7SE I got Orleya and since I already have Milena ES and I can sidegrade into both Miyu ES and Victor AS already that's an instant thunder team. On my SDE ten roll I got Isuka ES, my first Isuka of any style so I can eventually sidegrade into any of her other forms. Lastly I used my Star Piece to get Flamme, finally rounding out my water magic team. I already have Alter Shion, Necoco AS, Claude ES and so on so I think I'm pretty much set.
Now I can save my stones for the part 3 character or the global first character if they come out.

I found a Varuo in Baruoki in the phantom crystal domain last night. Now I have my alter Hismena safe and secure, so my star dream is safe. Looking at my roster in the new Wiki collection tracker, there are five characters I have no form of: Elga, Heena, Ilulu, Cetie, and Hardy. Heena's got an AS coming, so she's out. I don't care for Ilulu. I don't like Hardy either, but Mom is advocating for me to get him, since AS Hardy is still being used. But on pure fondness, I like Elga best after Heena. Ah, decisions are hard... Dad's getting Flamme, no question. Mom will be getting Alma finally.

I got Alma immediately. The only character I don't have any form of now is Lovely and hopefully I can get Minalca in the future. WFS massiveky spoiled us with free stones over the last few weeks and now we have another campaign. Got to 6.2k stones with login bonuses, watching advertisements and a few rewards from the collab.
I picked Orleya simply because she is the only NS I don't have. I can get AS/ES's doing farming. New ES I haven't used yet (2x 10 pulls), but will soon. I'm kind of stoked for her.
Alter Tsukiha is amazing paired with alter Dewey since it extends Another zone to 7 turns and also provides an crazy amount of offensive support, I made a video showing her changing elements

I was actually going to choose Cetie AS, but I ended up getting him yesterday at one of those banners. Probably gonna skip this one, cause I already have Claude ES, Alter Shion, Flam 4.5(I'll just try to upgrade her to 5 star) and Cetie AS. Those four alone are really helping me to get through harder content that I've been stuck at for a long while. While Mighty, Foran AS, Shannon AS, Mariel AS, and a few other have helped me as a backup team.
Yea Flam is the GOAT. She is always in my party. Unless i have to fight a boss that will take many turns like nameless girl or wrapped alma i will always use her. Other than that i think RFC and Eva are must have 10/10 units. Also Eva > alter Hismena. I was lucky enough to get her but i cant see her replacing Eva as a water unit. Thanks for the lengthy update!

Decided to go with AS Yipha over Alma in the SDE. Can't wait to use her insane support with the likes of AS Lele, Flammelapis, Alter Hismena, and etc.

8 summons for the alter unit (failed to get this time) and for the star dream: overall got some boosts plus bertrand as unlocked and again for a boost, unlocked nikeh as, got gambarrel, then star dreamed dunarith to get him out of the way next star dream target likely to be shigure in the future for now as the last old unit (with eva after as the cutoff between old and new units and flammelapis being the other new unit i don't have along with alter tsukiha that i'll have to grind her opus's and chant scripts for) but boy lot of level grinding including for nona and laclaire's weapon too

Choose to use the star dream on jet shion as I have plenty of free stones to try when the As flam banner comes out and already pulled As necoco and alma on the fireside banner
In my opinion I would say Pizzica or Radias AS. Prioritize banner pulls on the alter units since opus are very hard to farm. Eva and Flammelapis are great units, but I feel like Pizzica and Radias AS can be used for almost any team comp if you don't have to brute force a boss down in a low number of turns.
Agree with Alma as well I put her in the same category as Eva and Flammelapis. In the right setup just like Eva and Flam she can carry the team.
Claude ES, Yipha AS and Necoco AS are great support units. I think I would wait on them and prioritize the others first though.
Pizzica offers status clear, heals with mp regen and moves to boost dps if needed. Radias AS is just an amazing tank I think the best one you can get right now in my opinion. The chivalry move she does can negate any damage no matter how much damage the enemy does. It's limited to a certain amount of moves I think 3 or 4 times, but that's enough time to debuff the enemy. If you add heal on top of that like uquaji on the bench she can last for a long time without a dedicated healer in the front.

@@WilMakGamerDad thanks Wil I would normally go dps you know a damage dealer, but I think there are some great f2p options that can get it done. Aldo, Gariyu, Serge etc....I mean we have some options we can work with not really sure about the new tales of arise units. I really haven't messed with them much yet, but maybe Lloyd or Alphen not sure about them yet honestly.
Was to late to watch your stream. despite do not want to pull, my hands got the itch so did 4 10x pulls (1SDE), gotten 3 golden doors, no tsukiha... Had to use my SDE for her! Was thinking of getting necoco AS (got both normal style) but do want my 16 lights/shadow for alter tsukiha haha. Do note that Alter SDE are consider new unit by itself so it all the way behind.

Contrary to popular belief.
AS mistrare is most reliant on zones and support. The difference is that in most fights AS mistrare will not a tank at all. Her damage mitigation and healing with debuffs are quite broken.
The thing is without alter dewey, AS yipha and zones AS mistrare's weakness of having low stacks cannot countered.
I would still not recommend getting AS mistrare. But you misunderstand the purpose of Mistrare is to completely remove tanks from your wind team. And AS mistrare can participate in AFs just fine and you activate song at the very end when it will remove one hp stopper for you. Now that alter tsukiha is in the game, I can change element to make AS mistrare powercreep on pizzica in fire zone as well.
Although admittedly she is but wierd where I see her used a lot more in JP but not on global.
I went with Alter Hismena because she looks like she could be fun.

Premium starter pack 1k stones used. 9x trash and 4.5 Melina dupe. I was thinking hard between Alma or Orleya (hope i dont broke before Flam banner). Will told me yesterday go for Alma and i did it !!! First it was who helps me more with superboss fights, but in the end i choose Alma not Orleya beacouse i just like her more and i cant wait to play her quests :)

I'm about two weeks in and with my first 3 ten pulls grabbed AS Necoco then did 17 ten pulls for Kelkale Claude but only got his OG form and a 5 star OG Felmina, 4.5 OG Isuka & 4.5 OG Yipha (oof ). Then I spent 1k gems on a paid banner that got me Alter Hismena ( yay! ). Took 3 ten pulls to grab a double Alter Tsukiha on the last one then did a star dream and got nothing but with my free pick I grabbed Pizzica. Now to save until I get to 20k gems again.

I actually stop playing for almost a year and half, and just got back in the game a month ago, and luckily enough got 4 star flam and easilly farmed her tome, also got tsubame as, and got toova alt with the free seven stars peice , and all stories and most boss fights I encounter went smoothly. Farmed as radias, and pulled for as necoco and alt hismena, also got alma in the process. I'm still thinking who to get in sde, Im also 1 codex away on getting miyu es, and can buy the codex to get suzette es.
btw Flam literally bodies every boss and mobs except boss with null/absorb water ( until I got necoco AS lol ).

After watching many of your videos, I chose to use the Star Dream Encounter on "PerfecShion".
So many units to choose from and I have no idea what to pick, guess I'll wait for the next star dream encounter once I have a better understanding of what I need.
Also, I think adding pictures of the character you're talking about could help. It's hard to follow through when you're talking about units without any illustration

While I would love to have her Flam, I'm satisfied with Tsubame and will hopefully get some form of Flam when her AS banner drops. Though deserves the 1st pick for other players.
I broke my F2P for the cheap pack, but the game deserves if for providing me so much joy, so my choices were either Alma or Pizzika, but since I find more value in a new zone (and have every available Crystal unit) I will pick Alma, but after Minalca and the new Anni unit drops.
I've been extremely lucky since December though, lots of chants dropped, and managed to get Alter Hismena within 10 days of her release from 2 PCD and the rare dungeon Sensationalist, and since I don't have Melina, Hismena is now my water blunt unit. 😅

I hear all your arguments about other units in favour of Eva, but then I go back to the game and Icicle Zorch goes Brrrr against basically all horrors and the Miglance Castle boss :p. There's so much meta consideration in this game, but I use Eva and Cyan Scyther for like 80% of what I actually play.
I guess I could SDE Flam as a replacement for my Eva, but she's done me proud for like 6 months straight now so would be a shame to drop her.
I still use Eva, Flamme, RCF and Aisha in the same team currently and it works well. It’s just that I have to recommend based on my future predictions which can be tough. No doubt, Eva is still awesome!
Thanks again for all your informative videos! Was wondering who you would recommend based on my roster/situation? I'm just over a year into the game and recently finished the main story. Also have a majority of the side content done (character quests, episodes, etc). But haven't really fought any superbosses or manifest weapons yet...
I have Flamme (with 66 light from the free +5 every month), recently sidegraded Alter Shion, and already have NS Necoco.
Have AS Hismena with 2/3 opus for Alter Hismena. Have both Alma and Orleya (and recently sidegraded ES Miyu to go with her)
Have NS Claude. Selected Pizzica from a previous star dream. Can currently sidegrade AS Mistrare but don't think I need her.
Have NS Yipha with 3/5 treatise so could buy the other two right now and sidegrade.
Also have the original 5 alters (including RCF)
Don't have Eva. Just pulled Ipha on first pull and have 25k free stones so could pull for Eva instead of using sde? Or better to save stones for future?
Another question: have Aldo up to 247 light now, who should I grind light/shadow for next?

Hmm good question. You seem to have the majority of the meta units out there. Do you have a flash zone setter (Melissa/AS Hardy)? AS Radias is a consideration too if you need a tank. Eva is decent but like I said I feel Alter Hismena can handle her role.
As for grinding light/shadow you can work on Curio, or the unit that coincides with the tomes you want for VC grasta.

I know that AS Radias can keep a team alive for a very long time because defensively I have a lot of trouble surviving
And Alter Hismena seems really useful but I still have trouble understanding how she works
Alter Hismena can, at the start of battle, change her weapon type to the majority of your front line. So if you have 2 pierce units in front, she permanently converts to pierce for that battle. So she's flexible for all weapon zones and has high DPS and offensive support too with break stacking.

I have 2 fraulen opuses so I'm only one away from midnight hismena, and I don't see much utility in the other recentish ones I'm missing (AS Biaka, AS Lele, AS Yukino)
I’ve used AS Yukino and she’s amazing for a pierce zone setter. And don’t use the SDE on Lovely 😅. But seriously probably Alter Tsukiha only since opuses are harder to come by

4k stones on Alter Tsukiha and ended up getting NS Tsukiha instead. Fortunately, I've got 10+ of all 3 of her tomes.
Leaves my SDE available for one of my 8 remaining gaps. Flamme is the only "not older" character (newest after that is Garam). Looking forward to testing her out.
As an aside, is ES Tsukiha still worth using? I like pierce teams. AS Shiela + AS Yukino is a superb two part set up for others. Wondering if ES Tsukiha has anything I'd want to play with?
Im using Tsukiha ES, Sheila AS, Yukino AS and Pizzica as my standard boss team. She do really crazy dmg in this setup. You need first get her stacks, thanks to this she is bad at 1T AF strategies, but with rest of girls in this team you can survive a lot and this is not big problem :)

Got 4.5 OG Suzette on guaranteed while the rest are bronze...what a depressing pull. Spent 5k CS on AS Necoco and 3K CS on Alter Hismena banner and only got a bunch of dupes 4.5. Missed Alma and Orley. Now I'm conflicted between Alma, Orley, AS Necoco, and Alter Hismena as I have none of them.
Tough choice. I would say AS Necoco but any of the four are great. Don’t forget you can buy the guaranteed Necoco and then use another 1k paid for SDE the Alma/Orleya.

No problem. I don’t recommend pulling on the regular banners until at endgame since the old banners have no chance of getting the newest units. Of the units you’re missing I would probably go with Orleya for thunder zone especially since you have Necoco, Shion in some form, and Flamme.
And yes don’t pick a unit that you have one form of. Grinding is part of the game and is the main way that f2p can upgrade their roster. Hope this helps!

It’s up to you but yes overall at this point I like Flamme more. Her Neptune just raw dps is higher potential than Eva and both can be used together. Of course it’s not needed. Remember AS Flamme will be coming so you’ll have the ability to sidegrade as well.

There are sooo many character to choose that I don't have that I feel that I don't want to pick something in a rush for making a wrong choice or something I will end up not using :/
RCF would be a great choice considering you already have Eva. But it depends if you want to strengthen your water magic DPS team, or have RCF fit in any elemental team.

If you're brand new, she's not as valuable as Alter Hismena or AS Necoco.
Of the current banners prioritize AS Necoco and Alter Hismena first, then ES Claude or Tsukiha

Treatises all randomly drop as rare rewards in red key and Garulea dungeons. No one dungeon is better, it's just RNG, so use those keys, and good luck!
