I remember the first time I heard this song I bawled my eyes out. A mere teenage girl and it hit me like a bag of bricks. Nickelback has some of the best lyrics out there.
Absolutely love Nickelback, me and my mate saw them in concert when they came to Australia about 10 years ago and I still remember it vividly to this day 😊 Don't know why but they get alot of hate for some reason but this aussie loves them ❤

I get what you mean, brotha. I’ve been through some crazy shit in my life from before. And you’re also making me cry, as I’ve been through this kind of shit, from before. And first of all, I wanna wish everybody on here who reads my comment, I wanna wish everybody happy holidays, from a late Merry Christmas of 2023, and a Happy New Year, for 2024 around the corner. But second of all, I get what you mean, when you say all of this. And that’s because, when I was born, I was born with a high functioning form of autism, as I am highly autistic. But in the past, way before I knew of this song of, If Today Was Your Last Day from Nickelback, I went through suicide at one point in my life, because I was a 15 year old kid, starting my freshman year of high school, and everything at the time was going, so far, so good at the time. But at some point, literally a week before I could start my freshman year of high school, my grandmother passed away, just when I was going to have to start, my high school freshman year. And well, it wasn’t right after she died in 2015, as she passed away in August of 2015, and if I remember correctly, it wasn’t even by September of 2015, but I think, if I remember correctly, somewhere in between September and December of 2015, either if it was by October or by November, is when I ended up having thoughts of suicide, as I was really sad and depressed, that my grandmother passed away, as I was grieving her death, which is also, how I had to, unfortunately start off my high school freshman year. And again, that’s how I wanted to start it off, but it’s how it all started for me, which is unfortunate. And well, when I was about to do it, when I was close to committing suicide, I eventually asked myself at some point, if I was to be dead from suicide, of my family and friends, how would everybody who I know and love in my life, react to my death, if I would’ve killed myself? What would everybody say or think about me? I also asked myself, if my grandmother was still alive and if she knew about my death from suicide, how would she have reacted? What would she have said or thought about me dying from suicide, if she was still alive? And it took me a while, but I don’t have those thoughts of suicide anymore, as they went away after a while. And other than just that, I also know how you feel, because I have been through this from before, because we all go through crazy shit sometimes.

Every tear I cried is in his hands. I remember this song during awful times when my daughter chose gangs. I have been to the darkest place there is but I found that there is light in every darkness. Who ever your higher power trust in His promises. Whether it is of this life or the next .., it’s worth believing that light is there for everyone. I pray for all of you who are on that slippery slope. The song that got me through as a Christian is Praise you in this Storm by Natalie Grant. And the story behind it I worth searching. Don’t need to react. It’s just worth the watch. God Bless you all. Your willingness to be real and caring with your followers is amazing. Never lose that.
