There is also a stone called Iolite, that is similar to sapphire. Some people were fooled by buying an Iolite as sapphire.

Great point! Honestly brother Iolite/Water Sapphire deserves WAYY more attention and respect and not till recently has it finally started to be realized as it's own breathtaking gemstone. In Oregon right now it is becoming most desired gemstone and radiating out to other places. It is more pleochroic than tanzanite as it is one of the most pleochroic minerals in the world and can be just like with sapphire confused and sold as tanzanite too. They need to stop the fraud and trickery and just sell Sapphire as Sapphire, Tanzanite as Tanzanite, and Iolite as Iolite. They're all their own things and beautiful in their own ways.

Most people don't know very much about gem stones. They just like the pretty colors or the shiny thing called Diamond. They don't know the technical side. So if you're selling quality stones not junk, you have to find customers who know quality.

Most of these stones are not a good investment. Like Diamonds you find Sapphires in many places. This guy talks a lot of BS and then he has the guts to call out other people. What a hypocrite. Seller says $2500 per ct is too see how dumb the buyer is. Also look at pawn shops or antique jewlery you can often find good stones for lot less. JTC 😂😂😂😂 guys you better be super careful buying from the shops there. Miners don't control prices it's the middle men, the guys who buy the stones from the miners or big gemstones companies. They control the prices. Also the various amount of treatement stone are put through is shocking, you really have to take it to a private lab to make sure it is natural if that's what you want to buy.

Yeah, go and buy stones from miner bro. You don't even know what t f you are talking about.

    >>>>>>>> Dr Peretti signed off on that 50 carat Star Sapphire>!!?!!!??
Idk if I can believe either of those gem reports with the color of the ink and signatures for 2 different labs looking VERYYYYY similar....

Best to go to a reputable lab on your own and get it tested. Don't belive the labs in the JTC
