I feel in my third set of locs I am alot more relaxed. I am not as obsessed as I was before. I am currently 1 month and 2 weeks loc'd. That's the vibe I am getting from you. I am going to follow ypu on Instagram.
Omg I thought I was going crazy. I one day decided to just spritz my hair with water instead of using oils because my scalp was itchy like you described. I sprayed water and it almost instantly soothes my scalp. Almost like it was like, Girl you finally got the hint Thank you! So it just might be the oils! Wow!
I'm 4 months into my second loc journey and this time around I'm chosing not to be so hands on and just let them do their thing. And for the first time ever I shampoo'd with no retwist. I'm giving my roots and my locs a break. I'm not sure how long I'll go without a retwist. We shall see. I'm so in love with my journey.
I love your videos. Your aura is so calming! I’m glad you’re updating more videos too😁 I’m 3 months loc’d on my second set... I still use oil though(wild growth oil on my scalp bc my hair likes it) and I use super gro loc gel...both products are all natural. My first set was 2 strand twisted and second set was coiled.... the coiled set is definitely locing faster than the first set did.
I also watch a lady name Yannie talk about loc maintenance. You, as well as a few others, really prove that locs are supposed to be low maintenance. I'm still trying to figure out what works best for my hair without overdoing it.
Honey I’m 3wks into my 7th set and I’m really loving this new journey!!! I started with micro locs then decided to combine them, I don’t have time to maintain 260 locs!! Lol. I use rose water and vitamin E hair oil to moisturize them, I’ve always used this mixture. Loving you thick babies!!!😊
Congrats on your pregnancy! My locs are locing/ loced but most of them are still soft. I dont use as much oil as I used to either. I have a few teo headed dragons but they dont bother me. I'm 20 months into my third journey.
I am 5 years in my journey. My locs stop down to my tailbone. I just cut them yesterday above my elbows. It was just too much for me. I love them. I am wearing them with this shirt that I think I purchased from you about a year ago. I get a lot of complements. Great video
Happy 6 months, sis! You're half a year! I'll be 9 months tomorrow (Sunday). At the beginning of my loc journey, I used to oil the full length of my locks. I don't do that anymore... I also used to wash my hair very gently. Those two things caused build up at around 6 months locd and I did an ACV rinse. The buildup wasn't noticeable but a loc in the front looked brownish. I picked at it a bit and... Yuck! I was devastated lol. Thank God for growth in this journey. What I do now: -Oil my scalp a tiny bit every now and then. -Semi freeform. I've gone two months without a retwist so far. I'm aiming to wait until my 1-year locaversary in November.
Congratulations on your 6 month locanniversary and locs look so beautiful 👍🏾👏🏾congratulations on another beautiful blessing to you and your beautiful family 🎉🎈🎊🥳👍🏾👏🏾🤗 . Beautiful🥰🤗
I started my lock journey on September 25th. I have had one retwist this far, second one coming up soon. I decided to let a loctictionto help me with my journey. Your videos have helped me on what not to do and I have also not needed to put any oils on my hair. Congrats on your new bundle of joy!
I unconsciously stopped using oils since March ,I had got sick before that and ran out of oil days then weeks went by and washing and the crazy thing is I felt no need to use it anymore, my hair is soft and not dry at all ,it doesn't get as dirty so quickly and then I thought if oil seals in moisture then it must be keeping more moisture from entering like if you spray your hair or mist it in the shower . Anyway congratulations on baby and your 6month locaversary, I'm creeping up on 2years on September 9th , locs fit you very well.
Hey love again congratulations on your new blessing 💕 I’m 1 month officially locked I started with two strand twist after being loose natural for 10 years I have lots of unraveling because of my hair texture but I stopped stressing it and let them do there thing I have light budding and I wash when I feel necessary because I do work out a lot I love that shampoo you recommended in the purple bottle to make it thicker it really helps but I’ve increased my oil routine grape seed oil so we’ll see how it goes ..my daughter has a thicker texture so I have to oil hers with water and a spray bottle often because it gets dry quick but thank you for your tips and advice I look forward to our locs looking Healthy and Beautiful similar to yours 💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you Queen! I’m 6 months pregnant and 6 months Loc’d 🤣. I’m literally always pregnant in sync with my loc journeys. Totally unplanned that way, but so cool 🤣.
My scalp hate oil grease. It will itch like a mf. I stopped oils and felt it would make my hair dryer dull not 2 use it and I cant believe how good it feels.
Oil irritates my scalp. All natural organic oils, properly diluted essential oils, etc, all irritates my scalp. Absolutely no oil goes on my scalp. Now I do use oil on my locs. I spray with distilled water and use either avocado oil or almond oil to seal in the moisture on my locs only. Never my scalp. I've yet to try not putting oil on my locs, although many do it with great success. I may try it!
I have so many questions about starters (coils) and I’m still really early on. I know she doesn’t style often and mentioned why that’s bad, but I can’t keep them from unraveling (especially w washes or exercises) otherwise. 🙇🏽♀️ taking tips bc I don’t want to restart a fourth time
Some people suggest putting a stocking cap on top of your head to reduce unraveling at the roots and gently scrubbing to keep them on place...also when exercising wrap a scarf around your roots or all of your locs...hope this helps!
Hey Queen I am 3 1/2 months in with starter locks tried to comb a lock out it took FOREVER and my hair knotted up bad. What products did you use to comb them out?
The back of my hair is sealed like that and im almost 2 months loc and its loose and fine while the rest is coily and coarse. I now wet my hair in the shower and i think the oil is messing with me too 👀.

Yes!!! I agree! 😊 Thank you Queen!
First, I never was that person to do that but now a days I feel me importance. Your hair is thriving and looks healthy!
Thank you so much!

GORGEOUS LOCS!!!😍

I rarely use oils too. It irritates my scalp, especially castor oil. My sebum does better than any oil I have ever tried.
Question. What made you start over from the original coil locks you had? Just curious. I just cooled my hair and am thinking of letting it loc.
