When using the DTW301 for screwing/unscrewing wheel screws, were you able to use the full force? I'm asking because I was not able to handle screws which originally were tightened manually with approx. 150Nm.

You need to choose the correct program. Press bolt mode. According to Makita it is max 580Nm force when loosening bolts. On program nr 1 it will stop the motor when the bolt is loosened. Even if you tightened the bolts to 150Nm, there is other elements like rust, dirt, temperatures etc. that can make a bolt hard to loosen.

@@verktoyno I sort it out in the end. Was not about the program, but about using a key extender, instead of a longer key. Now it’s working fine. Thanks for the reply

Hello! I want to buy a Makita dtw 301z and I was interested if you can tighten the bolts on the wheels of a car and then check with a torque wrench what is the clamping force. Tks

Hey! The DTW300 / DTW301 is perfect for this kind of job since you can choose a program that stops the bolt before it tightens up. You can easily destroy bolts and threads with powerful tools, but with the correct program it is impossible to do anything wrong with this Makita tool. And of course you finally need to tighten all bolts with a torque wrench to the correct Nm

Hi, what is the part you use as adapter for screwing bits? Is it a makita part?

This particular adapter is from Bosch. Any adapter from 1/2" to 1/4" hex bits can be used
