That’s great! Congratulations just curious Whst made you leave the carnivore diet
I ate this way and ended up slightly bloated, lost too much weight and no effect on my mood.
I wish this would work for me. The carbs made me hungrier and I gained weight.
@@teachertrx1204 Oh, yeah. I was hungry all the time, too.
I am wondering if any of you guys are diabetic. I try eating the starch diet, my sugar went very high. I prepare all my foods from scratch even my breads even if it's sourdough and I just can't eat the way the Dr recommends. One potatoe and my sugar is up. When I question the Dr he suggest I use some insulin, which defeats the purpose of my never using drugs for over 20 years being diabetic.
Dr. McDougall & Chef AJ r compassionate people! People get upset when we talk about compassion to animals.
Always a pleasure to listen to Dr McDougall. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions with the rest of s. Have decided to follow his advice and I am feeling great and confident that this will be my lifestyle for the rest of my life.
I ❤Dr. McDougall. I love starch based and I feel so healthy. No joint pain, no more stomach problems. It’s so simple.
I have been doing the plan again after many years off it. I feel amazing
What do you eat breakfast lunch and dinner?
@sunflower8599 breakfast is oats with chopped apples, chia, and pecans; lunch is usually some kind of beans with rice or bulgur wheat; dinner is either a big salad or a stir fry with brown rice and lots of veggies. Also I'll make up several baked potatoes (white and sweet), and a pot of Veggie soup on the weekends, to have thru the week.
What do you eat for breakfast lunch and dinner?
@@i2sky532 thank you! Send me all the tips!❤️
My two favorite people ❤
Your giving them the choice by telling the truth. So thank you Dr. McDougall and AJ!
Is there a 20 minute version of this video? That would be great!
I note the stock values of both Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk are skyrocketing!
Yes follow the money
good information i happy so much i think this big idea
Who was it who said (paraphrasing): "People take drugs for a reason, for one reason, because they think it does one thing. But no drug does only one thing inside the body." So I always ask for alternatives. What else is there, that doesn't have "side" effects?
Drugs wear your body out & make u die. True story
Love you AJ
You have definitely got my attention! Thank God for you and your wife and daughter! My best friend referred me and I'm excited to get my health much better .. lose weight and feel better. I believe I've been poisoned for many years

How do I detoxify and clean my colon out from "stuck poop," and bloating, and any weight loss tips you have
I don't see any link to a document about the problems with Ozempic, mentioned at 1:17 in this video. Please provide.
There are a lot of words still used in german that have a yiddish origin. "Zaftig" - yiddish, german - "saftig", which means juicy...example would be a saftige Birne - a juicy pear.
Im so happy on the ssd im full im satisfied im losing weight my pains are leaving my body..drug free
That was sooo funny! He can’t remember names but he will remember your cholesterol! 😂
47:05 To analyze the contents of the Tollund man's stomach and intestines, new techniques have been used that have allowed us to reconstruct in more detail his last food intake and the way in which it was prepared. Remains of threshing and animal fat (possibly fish) have been documented for the first time in his stomach. "Nutritionally, the food was quite good, also when you look at the distribution of fats, proteins and carbohydrates," says researcher Peter Steen Henriksen. Another novelty that the recent study has provided is the knowledge that the Tollund man suffered from several parasitic infections, including tapeworm, possibly due to having consumed undercooked meat and contaminated water.
Calorically speaking, it was primarily barley porridge
❤ I have done also all I can to spread the truth You share us
It's good to hear that Dr. McDougall is into learning new things. I believe that a mostly raw diet can be compatible with the McDougall diet, simply by consuming grains (in this case, buckwheat and oats; other grains do not work well raw) uncooked, along with plenty of fruit and both raw and cooked vegetables. I do this simply because of feeling better after eating raw grains, as opposed to the feeling after consuming cooked ones.
oats are cooked unless you get oat groats.
@@blueberry4082 Yes, groats are the way to go. Just soak them in room temp water for about a day.
and you chew them?@@marakima
@@blueberry4082 Yes, strain and chew.
@@marakima wow you must have good teeth
Can you please explain the map in the background on the wall? May I ask what it’s significance is and where did you get it? Thank you!!!
It’s the Hawaiian islands 🌴
It’s the Hawaiian islands!
@@heatherpomerenke8684 thanks for the reply!!

He lived and worked there as a young doctor.
Great show!! Thanks for sharing comments of anthropologist Nathan. 👍🍠🥔🥦👍
I had a name for fat that my mom would call me. It wasn't nice either. She had a lot of other problems and also hated my guts from birth on. Obese is a medical term.
May I say the map on the wall is an unfortunate colour!
Curvy is not so bad over “obesity.”
Make it affordable! That will get you way more followers!!
I bought all his kindle books. Dr McDougall saved my health . Thank you AJ you are awesome
Ozempic curious to know who owns this!!! Big pharma phenomenon making a fortune on drugs
46:05 The last meal of the iceman, Ötzi, was very rich in fat and also included meat from animals such as ibex (a type of goat) and red deer. Remains of a cereal called spelled and traces of a toxic fern were also found in the mummy's stomach. The fat percentage was 50%, much higher than the average 10% in a modern diet. At the altitude at which the Iceman hunted, you need a diet that gives you a lot of energy, experts say. And the best way to achieve this is to eat fat, this will give you the energy necessary to survive in a hostile climate.
*26-47% fat - a range this large makes it fairly clear that the measurement wasn't that accurate, modern diet is closer to 23% fat worldwide (35% in US, 40% in Australia)
Dude was in survival mode, I'd bet $$$ that wasn't a year-round diet
47:59 1,500 years ago: Polynesians arrived in Hawaii after sailing across the ocean using only the stars as a guide. Travelers arrived with pigs, chickens, and dogs, as well as food plants such as taro and breadfruit, which would become staples, along with meat and fish, of the traditional Hawaiian diet.
All the celebrity housewives of America all use this drug and dont hide it 😢
Very informative presentation by Dr. McDougall as always. Thank you for his weekly lectures about health, diet and lifestyle -so much confusion on social media about these topics today. Interesting mention of the MEER.org project...maybe they need endorsments from environmentalists the likes of David Suzuki, David Attenborough.
It's not fat shaming to tell someone they're "wearing fat" versus "being fat"? Anyways, the whole fat shaming thing is gotten a bit too far imo.
The one-word kinder-gentler feel-good term you're looking for is FLUFFY.

Tip- "V" -"eye" -"mar" and now say it as one word - Weimar, Germany, Weimar Republic... The "e" and the "i" are pronounce exactly the opposite in german and english. look up a site where the word will be pronounced. I always cringed when I hear this - and I'm an american!
It made Sharon Osbourne sick
She was doing Atkins diet for years, she even advertised it. Lol
Talk about BIAS , how come Dominica isnt a Blue Zone?? It was the Highest Centenarians of All ...
Explain
@@greensorrel6860 the oldest person in the world lived to 128. Per Capita it beats All blue zones for the most centenarians. It has the highest fruit consumption per person in the world. Is anyone of this mentioned, no. None of it. So it's Biased. Just like John McDougall said, beware of the story teller. I Always Am, especially if large numbers of people say the same thing.
@@mariedavison3707 Let's put Dominica in the map!! You have my vote!
The diet of the Lapita people, the ancient settlers of the Pacific. The results, which have been obtained based on the analysis of the stable isotope ratios of three elements in the bone collagen of 49 adults buried in Teouma, on Efate Island, demonstrate that the first settlers of Lapita fed on reef fish, fruit bats and sea turtles, as well as pigs and chickens. Lapita is the name of a Neolithic culture that spread from points on the northern coast of New Guinea and the Bismarck Archipelago to New Caledonia, and the islands of Samoa and Tonga, in the western Pacific Ocean. It is considered the precursor of various contemporary cultures from Near Oceania and later Polynesia. The human species is omnivorous. There is no people, civilization or culture that has survived for centuries on plants.
i love dr mcdougall but i wish he wouldnt talk in such an pissed off tone. its hard to listen to.
McDougall can never get away from injecting his political biases into his talks about nutrition. Smh.
THICK!!! LOL!
