    I am surprised how John McDougall's "spark" and manners of speech energize me. Mary and Heather are also extremely charming, but something about That Man has a remarkable effect. I can see why he has changed the world, speaking persistently and wholeheartedly about all that he knows.

    I had, and have zero diseases from drinking milk most of my life. As a kid I was given whole milk, all I got was overweight. I suppose I'm lucky in some ways, but that stigma is still with me. Thank goodness or I would not be such a strong supporter of the good Dr. here. I am plagued with a dislike of all things fat, and so I'm here.

    Dr. McDougall and Mary thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work and the lovely Christmas present of your books. It’s so sad keto and carnivore are here to ruin the health of more generations to come. Just the confusion they cause is damaging. My husband and I were deceived by the Atkins diet for many years and it caused his death and suffering on both our parts.

    I've been following Dr. McDougall's program for 6 years. I have been very happy with the results. I have blood work done every year and this time my Doctor is tells me to be cautious about foods with potassium because my level is 5.9. well I eat lots of bananas, beans, potatoes so of course this is no surprise to me but should I be concerned and stop eating so many of those foods or is Dr. Overreacting because he's not used to people eating like I do????

    Can cataracts be reversed by stopping milk
    consumption?

  • @grandam195
    @grandam195 9 месяцев назад +1

    I got severe cataracts and never consumed dairy as it affects my poops. I am A1 casein intolerant and can only digest A2 casein if it hasn't been heated. I can have Raw A2 milk and products made from it without heating it. Therefore since since it wasn't available when my cataracts developed dairy was not the cause. I can get it now, but only rarely purchase it as I prefer my homemade milk substitutes. I prefer to get my calcium from vegetable sources.

      Cataracts are not curable at present, to my awareness of the scientific literature, from any diet unfortunately.
      It's about prevention, or cataract removal and lens surgery at this point. It's better prevented!

    I Have to Ask How You think Eating a Lot of Starches, Rice, Potatoes, Pasta, Corn etc., will be ok for a Diabetic ?
    I'm 73, LOVE POTATOES (ESPECIALLY).
    Please Explain ???
    Although I don't know HOW I'll find Your Answer, if You do.

    I was an Emotional, Stress, Food Addicted eater.
    Miraculously over 4 years later, Weight is Still off, a Miracle !!! I Battled Weight All my Life !!!
    But, though by some Miracle I've Maintained it over 4 Years later !!!
    But, I've not been able to get Any more off, and I'm 200.😕
    Plus,Dr Esseltyn and Neal Barnard Both say eating Vegan can bring Healing, Reverse Heart Disease,Diabetes.
    Did not happen for me😕
    Had Open Heart Surgery in 2022, and my Psoriasis had tamed Waaay down, but came back full bore in fall of 2023. I am a Stressor, Maybe that's why🤔.

      Agreed, something else must be going on, but after 2 years on WFPB SOS my left eye sight improved slightly, while my right worsened slightly. I have cataracts in both eyes, but in beginning stage. I never was much a milk drinker, but used cream in coffee, whipped cream & cream sauces. I’m thinking it’s now too much nuts, like using cashew creams in sauces. I cutting that down to see if it helps.

      Dairy is one critical factor, but not the only one. Aside from eye infections: high general cholesterol or saturated fat regularly across the life course from other sources, tobacco, alcohol, lack of healthy exercise, and excess sunlight to the eyes long term are all factors too.

      Oat, soya, almond, cashew, hemp (no oil, no chemical additives) are all possibilities, if no allergies.
      Sheep's milk, BTW, is likely to be like olive oil in the Med populations. People are healthy in spite of the sheep's milk or olive oil: not because of it.
      They also do a lot of other things much better than the average American, so the sheep's milk is not enough to severely impact their health.
      It's probably milder than cow's milk that's true, but not as good as plant based milks that are produced healthily.

    • @beepbeepnj2658
      @beepbeepnj2658 9 месяцев назад

      @@JohnDoe-xk1dv 100% of all plant milks are not good for health and not good for the environment which is why the Japan school lunch system only serves whole milk to each student. All plant based industrial milk has no natural source of Vitamin A1, B12, K2, Iodine, C15:0, Sphingolipids, Sulfur and Omega 7, all 8 which destroy cancer cells and protect the heart.

    My me preface this by saying, nobody is forcing blacks or any other minority to drink cows milk or consume any dairy products, if it's harmful to the majority of blacks or Asians, then maybe they shouldn't drink it. Plain and simple.
    Milk is so awesome! Once you drink it you feel extremely full. It's a very satisfying feeling I must say.
