I have to say is that the dishes in Din Tai Feng are incredibly delicious, especially their Siaolongbao. Not just everything in the menu are almost thr same, but also the tasting.

I think the reason they don't provide forks there is because you can't really use it to eat xiao long bao, the soup inside would go everywhere when you stick the fork into it.
I went to the Covent Garden Ding Tai Fung when it first opened and I wasn't impressed with the food or service at all. When I went to use the toilet (in the basement level), I saw a group of managers sitting in one of the tables discussing what I presume to be business strategies. Maybe they were still trying to figure out how to run the business at that time, and hopefully it has improved over the years.
5:45 Love how you hold your chop stick just near the end of it, very Taiwanese Posh❤️! I do have a little bit of complaint, when some folks eat communal shared dishes, they ignore having a set of serving chop stick and spoon 公筷🥢母匙🥄。 In Taiwanese table manners, that’s seen as barbaric. 😂
Hahahah o totally understand what you mean, I normally use the other end of my chop sticks to pick up communal food ( at the very top so my hands didn’t touch it) that way germs don’t spread as I still feel weird about just grabbing stuff where other peoples chopsticks have touched hahah Thanks so much for watching
Thank you Amy for sharing your experience, however a bit disappointing that they are using simplified Chinese in the menu🥲 Which may mislead the guests seeing Dintaifong as a "Chinese" restaurant instead of from Taiwan.
Luckily the place says ‘Taiwanese restaurant’ all over which is good. I honestly think it’s because a lot of Asian tourists that come to London don’t understand traditional characters - I have many Asian friends that don’t so I think it’s more of a business move than anything else.

鼎泰豐的個人經驗，賣的是餐點，不是服務。對外國人用它們的語言是服務，但是聽到客人是台灣人說國台語，很多服務生臉色會變。這是服務的通病。會認為自己會說外語，比說國台語的客人來的尊貴。這點也牽扯到店經理的態度，店經理又遷扯到更高層的態度，更高層的態度又牽扯到老闆的態度! 環環相扣@@"

20 pounds is actually not expensive at all in London. Many years ago in London, I paid 30 pounds for a meal of fish and chips with a pint of Guinness.

查詢資料中華文化的繁體字有2000年的歷史,而使用的國家及區域只有台灣、香港、澳門。也就是大部分華人使用簡體字。而簡體字不代表中國。外國的餐廳使用簡體字只是應該只為了商業考量。
用刀叉吃亞洲料理反而不太方便

No, we don’t rely on tips over there it’s not a requirement either. Some people tip but it’s not a must like in the US.
