Made this today! So I definitely had to adjust the water for the batter, 1 cup was not enough, used closer to 2 cups. The double fry is a game changer!!
2.5 lb of Chicken Thigh (with the skin on) 0.5 tsp of Salt 1 tsp of Black Pepper 2 tbsp of Rice Wine (Optional) 4 cloves of Garlic (grated) 2 tbsp of Soy Sauce 1 cup of Flour ½ cup of Corn Starch 0.5 tbsp of Onion Powder 0.5 tbsp of Garlic Powder 1 tsp of Baking Powder 1 cup of COLD Water 1.5 tbsp of Korean Red Chili Paste 4 cloves of Garlic (minced) 1 tbsp of Honey 0.5 tbsp of Soy Sauce 1 tbsp of Sesame Seeds
@@nawhtetshwesinhlaing8653 thank you for your response. I have been looking for the description on short videos but I couldn't find it until being prompted by your comment.
Didn't have many of the ingredients, but I went through with it still tasted great! Thank you!! And instead of double frying, I am just going to airfry it whilst washing up. Not the best at frying stuff in the first place. I will probably make a big batch if I make this again and will leave some in the freezer for later. Seriously though, every time I wing it, it turns out pretty dang good, but when I try too hard, i guess I stress and happen to mess up 😂
@@aadhiablink9469 I know it's already been a year but, it depends on the thickness of your chicken, just fry it on a hotter temperature than the first fry around 1-2 minutes or until you see golden brownish color
LOVEE YOUR VIDEOS SO MUCH 🥰🥰 But I had one suggestion You do a lot of delicious East Asian dishes Maybe you should also try some other cuisines too! I am from India and I love adding fusions of East and South Asian flavors in meals So I would love to see you try some other cuisines of other countries too!
unfortunately, there is nothing that comes close to the taste of gochujang. as someone who can't easily access it, i'd still highly recommend you to try your best to source it! it's used in so many korean dishes and can be kept for what feels like forever in the fridge!
If you are a vegetarian, use dried mushrooms instead of chicken(recommend dried shitaki mushroom). Soak dried mushrooms in water until soft. then cut into piece the size you want. The rest of process is all the same.

What's spicy there? The korean chili paste? I haven't found one that's spicy in my country.
