Rig Rundown Playlist - www.premierguit...
Premier Guitar's (www.premierguit...) Chris Kies is on location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he catches up with Shinedown guitarist Zach Myers and bassist Eric Bass as they headline the 2013 Carnival of Madness tour. In this segment, Myers talks about his dozen PRS models-including some that were built by Paul Reed Smith as birthday gifts-and switching from a five-amp rig to a simplified Axe-Fx II setup. Bass talks about his signature Dean Hillsboro models and why he prefers to use a solid-state Dime guitar head for his distorted tones.

Love shinedown
I like when the actual guitarist goes through his own rig.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..?

Thank you so much, you saved my ass !
@Jonah Travis No problem :)
Zach ‘uhmm’ Myers.
those prs's were fucking beautiful
"Thank you very much time for your Eric" hilarious, Chris is doing a great job hes getting more and more comfortable in front of the camera.

12:07 ha ha
12:03 ha ha
MaxAtTheMax smooooth lol
finally a guitarist that shows and talks about his guitars. The bassist too
eric bass plays the bass... that can't be a conincidence
It's hilarious that they have a guitar for every song pretty much
It's because alot of these people don't know how to handle their instruments, I can almost guarantee you just from the way he talks here that you doesn't know how to properly intonate a guitar or make truss adjustments or anything like that, their tech does it all, and when they set up one guitar perfect for the guitarist they make sure it doesn't change so for a new sound they have to have a new guitar
Joe Norton Zach Myers used to be a guitar tech for artists such as dierks bentley and others. He knows what he's doing, the reason he has so many s that he loves them and his a huge collector
***** Well I did not know this. My mistake, I just know that is the case with alot of guitarist, they have no idea what to do with an instrument besides play it.
Ya i know what you're talking about. I was surprised when i found out he was a tech too
Joe Norton Do you know anything about bands live? The guy plays in more than a couple different tunings and has a back up for each one.
Would have never thought he was a Buck Owens fan. Sweet rack of PRS's.
Well thank you very much for your Eric, time.
Beauty at its best!!!
That "special guitar" is without a doubt a future SE...
you know, eric bass seems like he actually gives a shit about his bass setup
Thank you very much time for your eric 👍🏿
U should do another one it's been forever guys.
The Axe FX is taking over. Every touring pro who tries one has nothing but praise.
Shit, that new SE looks killer!
just beautiful guitars
I met these guys, great dudes.
hard to believe my cousins actually in a big band. My cousins the Drummer Barry Kerch. hes my grandpas sisters son, i actually got to eat dinner before a show with barry and eric. it was really cool, i didnt realize how big they were until afterwards and seeing the crowd
in fact i have one of the drumsticks he threw after the show to us from the stage. the person above us almost got it
Ur cousin from Barry???
This makes me want to see them again so much!! One of the best I have seen
Definitely one of the best Rig Rundown's. Went really in-depth and seemed happy to do it.
that dark green sc hollowbody ii is like my dream guitar
I love zach myers prs singnerture model green shaded guitar
I wonder if he mics his cabs or runs the AXE direct to FOH.
Did you guys do a rundown with Seth Morrison?
We just like to keep our viewers guessing and properly cover all bases from jazz to metal and everything in between, as long as it has guitar!
Thanks for watching,
--PG Staff
like a little kid in a candy store…Zach's a nice man…God bless
Yes he is, my fav. guitar is ZM PRS-SE Semi Hollow-body from Sweetwater circa 2013-14
respect
love it thx PG
Asked not to film the head stock n u see the Headstock plain as day
The new SE Zach Myers is the best guitar I've ever found for the money
+Joe Burnford you have the new se ?
He IS the sweetest thing. Very personable and down to earth. Much respect for him.....
do a rig rundown of Zach's shoes please lol
Zach has probably the best looking guitars ever, especially the tiger charcoal burst. Which is f***ing beautiful
Am I the only one who doesn't hate Zach Myers? Seems to me like he is just describing his guitars.
I love Zach. He’s just a short lil guy. He so cute
It has the korean factory logo on the back of the headstock, and if you search for live performance of shinedown you'll see the SE headstock decal.
So you're right! :)
You guys should do more metal rig rundowns!
You've got that right
Thanks somuch dear I really appreciate your encouragement and support so far love you darling 🎶💕❤️🇺🇸🙏🎵
Love those PRS's
I agree let's start a riot
Let’s start a riot
A riot
Let’s start a riiiot
Dodo dodo
Let’s start a riot
A riot
Let’s start a riiiot
it already happened..all guitars matter
So who presented this Rig Rundown and where can I get more information about whatever it is that they do?
I would assume the secret guitar is a new se protype. I do think its awesome that he plays se models. He has access to any PRS but plays those. Good way to stand by your product/ signature model.
Never heard of these guys, but fock it, it''s gear rundown, YES!
I can't even imagine how much is Zach Myers's guitar vault worth :O
Jevta624 priceless
InTune Guitar Picks represent!
Paul, release that SE semi hollow prototype, please!!!!!
PRS Please make the guitar at 20:31 as an SE model. Really would appreciate it thanks.
oh, where is she?
theres like a million dollars worth of gear in zach's rig
hey, do a periphery rundown!
They didn't mention the pedal on top of the Morif unit. Looks like an ISP Decimator
that or the totally blues
I wonder if Zach knows that the original Crybaby wahs were created by Vox?
Zach likes "fashion", whether it be LV designs or shoes. Look up some of his other rig vids and he goes into it. It's weird/eccentric but most artists are.
Thanks somuch dear I really appreciate your encouragement and support so far brother one love 🥰💕🎶🎵💕🇺🇸🙏
wish they would do this in depth with myles kennedy and mark tremonti! and heck why not brian marshall too
One of the greatest live bands I've ever heard! Come back to Jackson MS soon please!!
Whats with the guitar he cant talk about?
The guitar he's talking about is the use model just wen this was filmed it wasn't in production yet now it is
Diggin that Cardinals shirt. Rock on cards fan.
I love Zach, such a cool guy
Classic PG.
has anyone noticed it is a kramer body just 3x the size
I like that they show their gear and not the guitar techs
You clearly don't understand music. No music is bullshit, and I think Shinedown is awesome : )
17:30 you can hear three days grace playing One X
What is that guitarstand he uses to the acoustic guitar called?
those PRS's... i'm jealous as fuck!!
Really great video. It's good that the artists themselves are speaking rather than the tect guys. I find sometimes the tect guys don't really want to do it and are vague about things. Plus sometimes it appears they don't know what they are talking about. Great video!
techs definitely know what they're talking about, they arent called techs for no reason. if you have a tech that doesnt know what hes talking about, you need to get a new tech
I'm going to capitalise a word in my original post "Plus sometimes it APPEARS!!!! they don't know what they are talking about."
Of course they know what there talking about but due to them not caring much about a video, its gives the impression they're just winging it
the triple pick up looks like a guitar Ace Frehley would play and speaking of Ace they should do a rig rundown with Ace that'd be bad ass
Paul & Gene won't give him permission to do a rig Rundown lololol
You guys should make Seether's rig rundown :)
such friendly guys..
a guitar for every song......
I'd really like to see a Jack White' - Rig Rundown soon!
axe fx presets, configurations, opinions, tips.
and the sweet ass guitars too...
that aint why so many other people watched the Animals as Leaders one as well ?
Beautiful guitars and Fractals. My man!
if i saw that bass in a store i would laugh some great engineering there the e string is a good 3/8 of an inch from the edge of the boarg while the g looks to be about a 1/16"
You never can get good distortion sound with a pedal on bass without completely losing the bass sound
Seems like there's going to be a new PRS Zach Myers SE to winter Namm! At 22:06 . Would buy it in a heart beat!!
haha that's awesome "I told you to clean this guitar"
Best part of this video was seeing Zach repping the whosoevers hat!!!
All of those guitars are PRS :0
he's a prs artist...
Ya think
I got humbucker on mine
damn he has alot of prs
Since you guys are on the Carnival of Madness Tour anyway-can you do a rig rundown of Skillet? You won't be disappointed!!!
the first bass looks like a Gibson Victory
Zach: I'm from Tennessee, so I'm a big fan of Buck Owens..
Even though Buck is from Bakersfield, CA?? Lived there and died there?
Maybe because Buck is in Nashville song writers all of fame??
bunches and bunches of sweet ass guitars; axe-fx axe-fx axe-fx axe-fx axe-fx....
Do a johnny made rig rundown !!!!!!!
What's with this guy and Luis Vuitton ?
i saw shinedown play a shortish set at a heavy metal nite in glasgow or ed8nburgh a few yrs back! the guy is a great player! who else i seen? Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Healey and many others! melodic player Zach! keep it up! love the prs with snakewood fingerboard that is a thing of beauty! not arrogant just incredibly knowledgable! Shinedown surprised me the most! Black stone cherry, and Izzy
n Crew!
The neck alignment on that bass... Yikes
I noticed it too... immediately!
damn if eric learned sax he would be unstoppable!
Cant wait im going to see Shinedown Tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6:25 that was cool
A bassist called Eric Bass... Perfect. - He has probably already gotten a whole load of shit for that.
eric bass.....plays....the bass ?
I personally really liked his old rig WAAAY better than this one. I really liked his massive rig with all those Diezel, Fuchs, & Diamond amps set up with all those cabs he had, along with all his analog pedal stacks. His other pedalboard was better too. I never cared for the whole "digital/solid state" set-ups. I prefer actually having a huge rig with a bunch of amps & cabs, along with a bunch of pedals or EFX rack-mounts, et cetera, and that's what he had. Hope he goes/or has gone back to that.
He still uses the fractal, but only for effects. For what I heard he now has a prs archon and a Fuchs clean machine
Gunner Joe
Oh really? i thought he'd gone back to his whole rig. i'd like to see him go back to everything he had, but at least he's back to actual amplification.
I agree, the fractal is great, very unique. However, you could never replace that sound from an actual amp
Gunner Joe
Specially when he had those Diezel, Fuchs, & Engl amps in his set-up. That was monstrous.
Mr. Bass really knows his guitars! Not a fan, but impressed.
at 1:52 that dude sure looks like Mikey Teutel from OCC
All rig rundowns have sadly become, "check out all these beautiful guitars I have, and watch them go into an axe fx...."
One Way Ticket Videos sad but true. And then you have the djent guys nowadays who are like "check out this awesome expensive eight string I got and watch it go into the Insane channel on a Line 6 Spider"
What’s with the gum smacking
