Open engagement would require talking to other projects outside of Ethereum instead of only inviting Eth people onto the show, which is just an echo chamber.

2022: L2s are extension to Ethereum
2024: L2s are just for payments
2026: L2s are L1s
And they'll refuse to admit it. The narrative switching in crypto media is insane.
There will be different L2s. Impossible to say what they will be called or be as there will be quite a few.

Companies don't necessarily decrease their amount of shares over time yet they can still grow and gain in value. Not everything has to be like gold.
