@@kiltymacbagpipe Yup! The shape has been tweaked slightly.. but it's still an RD. Like a Les Paul shaped guitar with a sharper or rounder cutaway ..it's still a Les Paul shape. Anywayz, I love the RD shape, and this silver version is simply gorgeous. Well done Hagstrom 🤘 ..although, I think that headstock shape only works with the logo running across the top. On this RD for example, it just looks awkwardly blank. As for Gibson trying to sue other manufacturers, not saying they don't have the right to pursue it. But why so stupid to release a video & inform the world. Fucking idiots.. well, now they can deal with the consequences of their actions.

With their headstock design it's not directly something you notice, but this one is inverse (like a certain guitar from another brand). That's probably why the name isn't on the top, but between the tuning pegs.
Well, Ghost's sound doesn't have that "typical" metal bite (whatever that means, as metal is a hugely diversified genre), so I guess we're good. Thanks for the review, been waiting a while and on the fence about these, but they look like a solid purchase. Edit: the price difference is probably because the white one is played by the lead ghoul, and the black by the rhythm ghoul ;-D
Well they play the custom versions, which are $1800-2500 on market. However, the tone is still there with these with the right amp/ head/ pedal combo. But you can hear how the tone inspires how you riff and even some of the jammed riffs is something Ghoul would like himself. Thats what a good instrument does.

Been playing a flamenco classical guitar borrowed from my niece Claudia...that HP's neck will feel like a banjo's when I play it, I bet! LOL Love watching your videos Henning! Good luck getting a signature deal with Gibson, I think It's cool they went Swede. I mean Nobody is Busting Fluff's balls for not only using a copy of an RD, but he is a huge fan of Ghost...Just their way of getting guitars of their liking without dealing with the monstrosity Gibson, who only waited a half century to sue Dean lol....Bill Kelliher left to go to Esp because they were such a shit company in artist relations. I also think It's cool Hagstrom has something that will appeal to a younger demographic. Just my opinion...or rambling
Channel Seven the RD hasn’t been in regular production for a while. It’s great to see the shape coming back in the epiphone line and in other brands. You can’t blame Ghost for sticking with a brand from their home country especially when it’s a good one like this here.
The truss rod beam is shaped like the letter "H". Don't know about the "expander" part, though. Doesn't look like it expands much... that's what she said.
Even as I post this comment, Hagstrom's website is still only showing the original 3 color choices. In an Ola video (the one where he got his Strat) you can see a Silverburst in the background, and now this silver one with the mirror pickguard. I'm a tobacco burst guy myself, but it's nice to see some more variation coming out
Ok, I don't hate you for don't knowing the band. I mean, I didn't know them either and when I saw their pictures I thought it's just another metal band with ridiculous outfits. But then I listened to one of their songs. And damn, they are just sooo good! I think you'd like them too.
The built-in make up mirror makes this the guitar that shall hail the return of Glam Rock, and it shall also save many stray chins from random Nutella smudges. These are good things! Animals at the end :)

My wife gave me one in black for my birthday. As a Ghost fan, I was pretty happy, and the guitar is great and fun to play.
