3:09 What I do to get the scrap from all the destroyed vehicles in a convoy is to go straight for the main vehicle and cripple it by removing a tire or ripping out the driver. Its at this point that the entire convoy stops moving and just hovers around the main vehicle trying to protect it. With this I can just take my time crippling and destroying every single vehicle in the convoy and take them for all their scrap. So what this basically means is that the burning wreckage of all the vehicles of the convoy are gonna be very close and within walking distance of each other and so with the convoy destroyed I just get out and loot the entire convoy for all its scrap. I always bag a pretty big amount this way and is always my go to method for looting convoys in the game till I get the clean up crew project installed and just repeat the process again when I enter a new zone that does not have this luxury yet. I find it to be quicker to just attack the convoy in each zone outright using this method instead of ignoring it and only taking it on when the project is installed as it just saves time doing it this way, you still get all the convoy's dropped scrap in the end, you just don't have to spend so much time building the project over and over in each zone to do it, I just skip that whole step. Massive time saver. The Cleanup Crew project is just more beneficial on the long term instead of the short term so spending so much time searching for, looting parts, and building the project just to loot 6 or 7 destroyed cars I find to be very inefficient so just do what I do, skip building the project and go straight to taking down the convoy using this method like I do. :)

There is a fort upgrade that collects the scrap from exploded cars, so you don't need to get out of the car, so, could you guys actually play the entire thing before saying this kind of shit?

You don't really need to farm. When you get quite far into the game and have cleared quite a lot of the map you eventually end up with loads of scrap and nothing to spend it on. I guess it depends how you play it but this is what's happened to me.
If you store the scrapulance, take it out and wreck it will it leave some scrap to collect? if so maybe you could go back to the stronghold and repeat the process. Im gonna try it out and post if it works or not in case anyone is interested
HeaDSmash1 nope that doesnt work,only way you could farm it is to find a scrapulance which is in a camp (not encountering one when driving) and destroying it,then drive abit farther away from the camp in which you destroyed it and coming back and it should respawn and you can do this however long you want

once you get the clean up crew setup at your bases, you do pick up the scrap you make off of cars you destroy automatically.
There's an upgrade in the base that collects scrap for you from demolished cars.

@ign You can get an upgrade in the strongholds that when you ignore scrap from blown up cars the game automatically picks it up for you
Make sure to get the 'cleanup crew' project in each region. It automatically gives you the scrap off destroyed cars.
