  • "After I got to know about the religion, I felt really sad... It's actually a very soft and gentle religion. It's just that a lot of things are taken out of context or misquoted and used for the wrong reasons": Ms Li Jinghan, who converted to Islam last year and is celebrating her second Hari Raya.

      Sure, although...
      What other choice do the parents have if the kid convert for love? Assimilation is a given.
      The mother warn before that if she makes this mistake now, she cannot go back.
      Unless of course apostasy is possible in Singapore?

      @@Emsyaz So, you are saying that if she did not convince herself of Islam, she could change her mind willy-nilly and "disavow religion"?

    • @callmeyang
      @callmeyang 6 лет назад +1

      @@Emsyaz Thank you for getting back.
      I get what you are saying. The holy book is not wrong on many accounts, but that does not mean is the only book that references what it does!
      I am not an Atheist and I have studied Islam deep enough to know it is largely fear based "duality". I'm more interested in psychology, in particular how the brain is hijacked using its own fear as a form of societal and political control "culture as the default operative system".
      Besides, we should not REQUIRE religion to be together and love and respect one other. We should be embracing diversity and celebrate our differences. Which does not mean of course we should embrace the dominant culture like the prevalent consumer-based society.

    • @callmeyang
      @callmeyang 6 лет назад

      Correct.
      I have nothing against people and their religion providing that they can change their minds and not be limited or enslaved by birth or marriage.
      The first rule of Islam is: you cannot leave Islam or you risk death, prison, and condemnation by the community “according to sharia law’.
      The surah 4 in Islam states that woman is inferior and can be traded, used and abused. Need I say more?
      I’m only against totalitarian systems of control and death cults.
      I think Singapore and Malaysia have the opportunity to change this to make religion optional and not compulsory.
      Judging by the Tao Te Ching alone, people used to be much smarter and wiser. Nowadays we are literally being cooked to death by microwaves and RF radiation everywhere.
      Just think what is doing to our brains!!
      There is enough evidence to suggest that this is the case.
      My favourite book on the subject matter is:
      ‘the non Tin foil guide to EMF. And how to fix our stupid use of technology - by Nicholas Pinault”

    I know of a few who plan to convert to Islam because of marriage, but what it forced them to do is to research and learn more about the religion. Most of them who do this will eventually see the beauty of Islam and will convert for the love of God and worshipping Him alone. A few of these converts or rather reverts , will sometimes be more religious that their born - muslims partners. I pray the best for all who seek to find the truth to get what they need as the truth is only given by God to those who are sincere.

    The hidayah or guidance from Allah towards this young woman is amazing. She asks the right questions pertaining to Islam.. Also her mum too was right to say Islam is a strict religion. It is indeed because in Islam there are rules, rules and rules. The life we live on earth is temporary filled with challenges, lusts, unlimited desires, diseases, corruption, etc etc.. That is why there are strict and stringent rules set in the Quran. I hope the young woman's journey will continue to be a blessed and smooth one. By the way, fasting is also difficult for most muslims during the first few days..

    • @mzs114
      @mzs114 5 лет назад +1

      @Borsalino Kizaru Please, let us not make it sound obligatory by using "must" or "should", we could say "strongly recommended", etc.
      Imo, I think people reading and pondering over Qur'an as non-Arabic speakers would have more benefit than standing in Taraweeh.

As a husband and your in-laws they should also agrees with what I suggested. Just imagine how to raise a child from new born until adults. He/she will definitely going thru a lot of stages with a close guidance from parents and the whole family members alike......insyallah. I personally DOA yg terbaik.....amin!!😁

Some of my fmly also are Muslim so we have no issue. Exactly like this fmly. Whenever Eid my non Muslim fmly will come and visit us and whenever non Muslim festival like Christmas & Chinese new year we will visit them. We assume this is more to fmly gathering.
