You might need to see what Syntac did to tame his in the Centre series. He didn't tame it on that island. You need to find somewhere with just herbivores

its so hard on volcano island, i tried a bunch then relized i could kite it across the water with something faster, i used an argy, by all the herbivores. Felt your pain in this lol the part with 5 pyromanes cracked me up, good efforts

Axe. You can use the flame jump to move around better when taming the pyros. Keeps you from getting stuck on things so much.

Man the parallels between Syntac and Axe taming these creatures is hilarious. Syntac dies in Glaicus fight but Axe does it easily and the reverse with the Pyromane
I did noticed that the mono saddle shield actually works against the fire. When they explode and the mono catches on fire Axe(the rider) is supposed to catch fire too the shield is stopping it.
Oh boy I feel you, Axe. Thought I was going insane with my first Pyro on Xbox because I simply couldn't do the normal flame absorb. Thought my controls were broke until I realized by accident that it was my shoulder geko that prevented my secondary attack or whatever 😂... without it I managed it but I hated everything about it...
iv seen people use trap boats to move the pyromane to where theres more spawns. Hopefully in the future quetzles might come back so could be a decent solution.
I have no idea if it would work but could you tame them in a similar way to the carchar? Build a trap/arena near the water and unclaim a bunch of creatures that have high health in there, get on and get munching within some nice safe walls?

Does everyone forget there are 2 artifact caves on that island ? Just lure it near one or in one as they both have water then get on and go on a caving killing spree. Spiders scorpions arthros boas and bats. Why run around in an open area when you can be in enclosed spaces where everything comes to you. I’m not saying it’s the best method but it is a option.

Yea that's why I build a small enclosures out of dino gates and fill it up with raptors sabors scorpions and carnos if I can lead them in with a argy

You can still grab a flame as soon as you hit them to restart the timer as well to help not lose effectiveness!!

You can also just get agro with an argy and kite it to a different island, ive tamed several that way super easy lol
I picked the pyromanes up with my wyverns on my server and got them to an other place with lots of herbivores to tame them. Idk if it would work with an argy, i doubt it. But maybe with a quetz. But quetz taming is also very annoying xD

Look up top the island. There is water up there too.
Grape deserves a pink saddle after all this.
If you fire leap at the ground to start the fight they will start with a lot more fire damage.. also if there's a group of things they will all be fire'd and you can absorb them all.
Take the pyromane to the raft then take him to safe island and start taming

You're high enough Level now, you should go to the Underground. The Big Forest, Lake, Sun dome area. Set up a Base there.
Two Ground Entrances & Exists.
• South Jungle Wall Cave Tunnel.
• Both Jungle Cave & Temple.
One Flier Exist in the Ceiling.
• West Jungle towards Swamp. Water-swim, then Ground, then Drop-Flier to get down ... Easiest way in & Out. Fastest too.
Build an Awesome Base down there. Away from everything.
Build Underground Temples to clearly see the Exists faster too. It's awesome down there. Away from Alpha LEDs and Killer Whales. Etc...
This is 100% how I feel about taming a paid for Dino. First you pay money, then pay with time and frustration. Make it make sense. Not a clever taming process just a expensive taming process.
Raft trap and take it to the small islands with high dino population.

I love how he had the first tame but ran away at over 90%. He needed to not panic and flame absorb on the rex and he had it 💯
I know. He definitely could've gotten it. He probably thought it had to be full bar to absorb. It was his first time on it.

OK, now that you've quit Ark you can do a 7 days to die play through.
Yeah is seem the Pyromane can not hit Alphas. I tried taming one on an Alpha Raptor and it wasn't able to hit it.

Yeahhhhh the taming method itself is fine but the spawn rate of non-pyromanes in that area is *dismal*. It's kind of bonkers how empty that beach is, and of course every failed attempt means you're killing the few creatures that are there and then running out. The raft trap has to be the way to go, there's just no way you can consistently do it in that location.

make a raft/motorboat build trap on there and move the pyros to safer location to tame them
Careful with them they get stuck on rocks i was taming a 150 had it chaseing me and just b4 it got to the water it did its fire leap and got caught on a rock that was indestructable so it couldnt be tamed i tried leaving and coming back but it was just stuck so i stuck it with c4 and blew it up

Syntac made it look easy
Syntac spent countless hours on single player trying numerous methods before making his raft trap video. He even said he tried using tames and it didn't work.
Axe took us through the raw, real attempts that we've all experienced trying to tame these things and I respect tf outta him for it.

@@JS-mh9uu did we watch the same video? He tried rexes and carnos on the first one. Then he tried raptors and small kills on the second. Then he died to multiple manes so he killed them and tried alphas.
He literally changed his tactics with every attempt. The problem is WC and their abysmal coding and spawn algorithm. He's making content that draws interaction and you're crying because it worked.
His next video will involve successfully taming one because of this trial and error. Syntac didn't post his hours of attempts because he's become known as the "informative Ark youtuber" that everyone watches for the "correct" way to do something.
Dismissing this creator because he actually shared his failed attempts is simply silly. If you want to cry about idiots that literally don't know anything about this game then watch Bemo Guinness, Phlinger or Meola. Those morons are the exact definition of insane.

Lol you and syntac are both doing it incredibly wrong.
On one of the islands near by to the volcano island build a 3x3 box with a ramp leading in. Fill said box with wild creatures like turtles and phiomia. Then using a rhynio or wyvern fly around until you find the pyromane you want to tame. Pick up said pyromane with your rhynio or wyvern and then fly it over to the island where your trap is and drop it a little ways off shore in the water. Then shoot it to get it to come to you. Once on the beach blast it till it's ready to tame. Once your on it jump in the box and beat up everything and it basically insta tames
that island is literally the worst place to tame these guys, you gonna need to take it to somewhere else, another island to tame

For me this seem just a cheap copy of the shadowmane and Thyla is not even worthy of tame it… and definitely not for paying just for a mix of the shadow and thyla together… only thing they add it is the fire… basically is like if was X-Shadow …. What a rip off….if money…
You know it always amazes me that you guys don't watch each others videos. You have 2 flyers why aren't you using them? Leaving your pet on the beach is a horrible idea. Should have at least made sure he would defend himself. You can make a soul ball gun.

To be fair I'm also trying to tame one and its awful. I'm going through the same thing. I've seen people build small ish traps and transport raptors or something into the traps then tame it with the stuff in the trap
