  • Come along on the hunt underwater for Prehistoric fossil shark teeth. I found a huge 6" Megalodon fossil shark tooth scuba diving off the coast of Venice, Florida. This is a rare large size for Megalodon shark teeth in this area. I also discovered many Ice Age fossils.
Florida spent millions of years under water during the Miocene Epoch. During that time period, the shallow seas in the area that is now the Gulf Coast of Florida thrived with abundant marine life. This was a perfect environment for sharks including the massive Megalodon. In a shark's lifetime they lose thousands of teeth, those teeth eventually fossilized and today we find them eroding from the fossil deposits in the Gulf.
