  • I decided to join my friends for the Didupe - Samse offroading trail and it was challenging to say the least but now I can say for certain, I absolutely love the thrill and rush of offroading

    Hey just an advice from a beginner action camera guy, I am new at this too.. and I found that our Indian electrical power is 25hz so if you record at 24fps or multiples of that you will see that flickering of light in your video recordings. But, If you shoot at 25fps and multiples of that.. you will not. 😊

    • @Pinksonwheels
      @Pinksonwheels  3 месяца назад +1

      Oh! Thank you so so much for sharing, I'll try setting it at 25 fps

      Indian electrical power is 25 Mhz really ? Curious to know can you explain what it means

    • @orindamn4475
      @orindamn4475 3 месяца назад +1

      @@Kim_Jong_Un_2023 the frame rate speed of your camera is way faster than the speed at which the diodes of the lights alternate between on and off. In the US, lights generally operate at the 60Hz standard, meaning they switch on and off 60 times in one second. India has AC supply of 50 Hz

      @saltyIndia 2 месяца назад

      @@Pinksonwheels try the 30 fps setting on both your helmet cam and the insta. Also, in post use the cannon cinema gamut and rec. 709 to get basic color correction. I just learnt this recently.

    • @Alienbikers-in-India
      @Alienbikers-in-India 2 месяца назад

      Funny. SO many advises.
      In India is the same as in Europe - 220V 50 Hz, so only inside rooms where electric light is on, use 25 of 50 or 100 etc fps, but when you will travel to the USA or Cuba etc where electricity is 110V 60 Hz - use 30 or 60 fps. Simple!
      PS nowadays manufacturers make also lights which doesn't create flickering effect in video if you shoot in any random fps rate.

    Just a suggestion, keep the tail light during Offroad trails. Mount a tail bag on the pillion seat instead of top box, keep the weights towards the centre of the bike. Gives you better balance and maneuverability. Cheers!!

    I have ridden this section of off road 2 times (one in classic 500 and once in Himalayan) and both times it was challenging. One of the time was in monsoon which was mind boggling! Towards the end you can go down and do a stream crossing, hope you tried it! It’s amazing! One small tip, try and off roading without the top bags or saddles, as such the himmy is heavy and hard to manage, extra weight throws it off the center of gravity!

    • @Pinksonwheels
      @Pinksonwheels  3 месяца назад

      Wow you are quite the pro, I can't even think of off-roading during monsoons! This was my first attempt at off-roading and I'm relatively new to the whole biking scene too :) . You are so right about the weight of the top bag, I'm definitely replacing it before my next ride. Thank you so much for the suggestions, very helpful!

    No disrespect to any1 but the basic rule of biking is if u cannot pull up the bike from its horizontal position then we shud not do stunts or off roading on it... and plz it goes to all no gender biased.. build ur lower body strong to handle bikes else on bad days it will be really bad...
    Go strong and hapy adv biking...

    what went wrong was that you went too much towards the right when the guy on the BMW slowed down, then you did not follow through but slowed down and lost control of the back break and applied the front break only, then the vehicle started rolling back as the front wheel was locked and the back was not, then you fell. Next time stop in advance and use the back break. cheers.

    • @Pinksonwheels
      @Pinksonwheels  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for the tip, very helpful! I also learnt to keep some distance between bikes while going uphill after that fall...using back break is something that I must get used to. Any tips for breaking while riding downhill?

    • @saltyIndia
      @saltyIndia 2 месяца назад

      @@Pinksonwheels If your vehicle has switchable ABS turn it off and let your self be the ABS ( I know it is easier said than done). There will be a little slide and you might feel that the back is coming off from under you but you'll get used to it. What I do is I approach the descent slowly and make a mental path of where I want my vehicle to go and direct it. I break progressively, use both back and front (biased to the back) and regulate the speed at 25-30 KMPH max so that even if my back tire completely locks the vehicle wont fall under me, I can control it and recover. This might not cover all scenarios however, I think it is a safe approach.
