I was the blaziken of this match, Gyarados was running exp share, slick spoon and specs…
I was also in lane myself cuz one of my teammates were afk and then headed top path anyway, but goomy came down to save my lane 🗿

@@mastereduimusic that is insane. I’m still flabbergasted by how little unite players try to educate themselves about the game. Just read it literally says attack when you go to gyarados I don’t understand.

Bro, I just stopped playing defender and support. There's no point in supporting the teamdumbs
Some Defenders are ok like trevenent or slowbro. Because you can still win team fights or shut down the enemy carry so there teamdumbs throw the game.
Just dont take xp share.

I stopped playing this game and went outside for the first time in 1 and a half years it feels good
I will never play exp share on supports or defenders in solo queue. Your teammates never understand the advantage it gives them and will race ahead from farm still
Been playing support/tank from the start, I only play exp share on good comps. Either blind or draft. Most of them are w's.
I learnt this after a while as well. It only took 300 games on exp share slowbro then using other items and winning instantly.
It hurts to take exp share off my defenders but its such a waste when my team leaves to farm just to run into enemy bases solo and die. Switching to A9 this season has saved my sanity. (Also wiggly if team really needs exp share)
I play defender on random lobbies, I use umbreon. But I run HP and ATK boosts for myself since I can’t count on my teammates. And when I do count on them, the stun and debuff game goes crazy (umbreon is just built like that)
This is one of the things I will respectfully disagree with, Cris. Yes, your teammates may play poorly but it's 1 game. Other games, you'll be carried by decent to good players, and those who appreciate Exp Share defenders will follow your lead.
I play lots of Exp Share Crustle especially and I do just fine. Sometimes, I do carry my team after letting my team reach their spikes or evolution.
I only exp share when lobby has brain cells however you really never know in solo queue
I learned how much of a mistake it was to let a gyrados go jungle. We didn’t have a jungler that game. It was not fun.

Hooh and any Def/Support with a lvl. 12 cap is fine with exp share. All the others, nope
The title should have been “Why *I* don’t play XP Share defender”. Cris is in super small percentage of players that are expected to carry by being in the top 10,000 and being given extra terrible players via matchmaking. This further gives validation to that 44% winrate Sableye and the like to forgo XP share thinking they can carry.
I’m convinced that EU servers are so much worse than NA. Cris gets more bad games than me and I play a lot of unite and I don’t even get paid for it.
NA player with a 55% WR. Yesterday I had to carry a Float Stone, Rapid Fire, Attack Weight, Potion Pikachu with a 42% WR imme diately after I had to carry a Sableye OTP w/o EXP Share that had a 47% WR, and somewhere yesterday was also a 44% WR Fluffy Tail Talonflame who did sub 15k damage.
This was all in one afternoon.
And if you're wondering, yes, I did have to play AGAINST the Pikachu ON MY OWN TEAM to prevent him from hogging all the farm.
@@A-lik I’m sorry you had to carry that. I’ve been proven wrong, it seems majority of unite players are hot garbage. Unite is definitely more casual compared to other MOBA’s with a large competitive scene.
@@A-lik I hate when people do that. And it’s not like they’re scaling for ray fight they are just hogging all the farm because it’s there instead of fighting with the team. So it was a 4v6 against that pika?

Cris's instruction not to use EXP Share on a Defender only applies to high WR/MMR players. As a 55% WR player, I am BEGGING my low WR/MMR players to run EXP Share Defender/Supporter. Your 47% WR is not going to carry the game, but if you just hold an EXP Share, then there's a better chance that I'll carry!

Especially since Cris plays as a carry in most of his games -- his Mime and Mamo are usually non-Exp Share. I play Exp Share defenders and supporters all the time, thus living and dying by the quality of my teammates. But my playstyle is better suited for defenders and supporters, and I'm more than willing to be the Exp Share guy. I usually respect his play but he's not a defender/supporter player.

As a Defender/Supporter main, i generally go full damage on my tank unless I regconize someone I could trust in the lobby. The random players, 70% of the time, are not worth handicapped yourself of a health or damage item. I have games where my teammate just leave me to attack the bunny alone and run straight for the last 2 bunnies. Then later try to take all my farm when I try to recover my unite move for next, possibly Ray, fight.
