Walzer Mazda of Burnsville MN wanted $790 to change this out, DEALERS ARE THEIVES! Thank you for this great video and yes you are saving us money, new subscriber here for sure
I have a 2012 Cx-9. The A/C drain being plugged was my issue and dumped water into the motor and it stopped working (seems to be very common issue). I caught it early enough that I was able to take out the motor, tap it gently with a hammer to free it up, and remove a screw on the back to spray some rust proof spray into it. Brought it right back to life. Cheap enough blower motor it seems (on Amazon at least), but this got me on the road.
Yeah im having that same issue with that water i have to get it drained tomorrow but the motor stop spinning the manufacturer should do something about these madza having this issue
If you have water in the car, then your drain is likely plugged. If left too long it can drip into the fan motor and cause it to break. Here is a video addressing how to unplug the drain m.ruclips.net/video/75xqS2wqUDw/видео.html&pp=ygUeTWF6ZGEgY3g5IGFpciBjb25kaXRvbndlIGRyYWlu
@@camerontrudeau4974 yes i saw that video and i tried to breathe with my vacuum cleaner from the drain under the vehicle and there no water came out of the hole
Yay thank you sooo much for this video!! Mazda wanted $175 and 24 hours just to diagnose the issue and then who knows how long (and how much) to fix it. Thanks to you I was able to replace the blower motor myself for $43 and less than 30 minutes!
Thanks for this video man, I’ve spent the last two weeks trying to trouble shoot the problem with me car. Started hearing the sloshing sound of that reservoir for the ac drain bring full. Water started coming out from under the glove box, it shorted the controls for my windows, so for the past two weeks I couldn’t roll my windows down and didn’t have AC.. rough time in Texas!
I think this is what I am going through. Both front windows won’t roll down, and also I hear the sloshing sound - when I make a left turn. It’s is so weird.
Matt, Did replacing the blower motor solve the AC drain plug issue? I just had to drain my 2014 CX-9 again today. Third time in a few weeks. My blower seems to be working fine though.
Thanks for the video. It was quite easy to replace. Mazda genuine parts 11-61-B10 is $650 and the non-OEM is only $37. Even if I have to replace it every single year with non-OEMs for 10 years, it will only be half the cost of the OEM. I compared both of them, and I don't feel a difference at all. Both motors are equally heavy. Both use the same plastic parts for fan blades and the support. Mazda should revise for a decent pricing with their OEM parts. Otherwise, nobody would buy them.
Solid video. Just followed it and it took me < 10 min. Thank you for a clear, simple, to the point video.
Hello! Thank you for posting your comment. I am glad to hear that you fixed the problem. Have a great day and God bless you 🙏
Life saver a guy charged me $250 to change the blower motor and I watched this video and did it in less than 10 minutes and I only spent $60
