@Tony Yayo i don't like the fan noise, temps while charging and the flexing on the bottom of the laptop (where it gets hot). Everything else (keyboard, display, battery life, design and weight...) is fantastic in my opinion
@Tony Yayo I tried it and the noise went away, I thought it'll cause hot keyboard but it's fine. That's how I want my laptop to be; Silent to be able to focus. I appreciate your advice, thank you!
This is a good review but I don't see any responses from the reviewer in the comments below. The bsod? ... What? The i7 being slow, heating, possible screen issues... I'm thinking of getting this laptop, with i7 with 16gb. Does anyone recommend? I'm doing my homework here also the visiobook version with thunderbolt 4.. Thanks in advance 🙌🏻🤠👍👌✨
The supplied case is only for protection when you throw your laptop into a backpack or other bag, it's clearly not designed for hand holding. Clearly not a replacement for a laptop bag, so, a little unfair to criticise. Apart from that, good long term review, thanks.
thank god a genshin test! i've been looking for a good portable reliable laptop that can do genshin lol. been eyeing asus rog zephyrus g14 for a gaming/all-around laptop but it's still a little too pricey for me. maybe the newer asus zenbook s13 can do as well as or better than this older zenbook?
Hey great review! Wondering, can you use it with 2 displays, 1 HDMI (1080) and one 1440 (USBC->DVI extender) at the same time - without the buildin screen? ANd yep longterm-reviews are the way to go, short 1 week reviews are a waste of time.
Which is better MacBook air m1 or this Zenbook 13 laptop for traveling (zenbook is slightly lighter) if do not need to play games and edit complex videos?
Wow, nice review. I'm not sure if I missed it, but there wasn;'t a speaker test, but other than theat great review. Definitely considering this laptop right now
Does your laptop get 70-80 degree celsius on cores while cpu usage is like 4-5% on "standard fan mode" ? And the fan get really loud like 4000-5000 rpm?
definitely not a mac guy, but should you choose Windows, the oled screen is simply too enticing for its price. Im considering replacing my 4-year old Dell for this.
First of all, thank you for your replies. Second of all, I did go for the Zenbook, and it’s going well so far. Although there were some issues here and there like the BSOD, nothing other than that. :D
I love it, got mine recently. But as vibrant the screen is, it seems blurry or grainy 🥲 my battery is easily drain, im not doing anything much yet, just web browsing and spotify, help 😩😭
I bought this laptop today and observed fan noise! is this something common with this laptop? I am not even running any applications at all, but still hear this noise. Should I return it?
The computer is really nice. However, unless the fan speed and performance are at the maximum the computer is very, very slow. But then, at maximum settings, it is very noisy. And even with the maximum performance enabled, the result on UserBenchmark for the GPU is still very low (only 16,6%). I have i7-1165G7, 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. Obviously, everything is fully updated, Windows 11, all drivers, BIOS, ... Any idea why am I getting this bad performance?
3 months of regular use is not really long enough to be considered long term.. sorry, unless you change laptops every 6 months its a very short time.. people using the same computer for 3 years is long term, even 1 year..
The F7 function key when pressed switches the backlit keyboard on at low brightness, medium, then full, then back to off again. After a couple minutes of no activity, the keyboard backlight switches off but touching the keypad or a key turns it back on again to the level you have chosen...
Totally agree, three months and still love the laptop.
how are the thermals?
1 years and hate this sh!t
What a fantastic review. You covered everything. I'm actually thinking of buying this now.
did you? i hope you didn't
@Tony Yayo i don't like the fan noise, temps while charging and the flexing on the bottom of the laptop (where it gets hot). Everything else (keyboard, display, battery life, design and weight...) is fantastic in my opinion

I would love this laptop but i am afraid about the oled Burn-in
There is a setting that makes the screen dark after 30min of no use, so it wont burn.
