that moment when you try to explain to your friends or family that one of the videos you have been expecting the most doesnt feature a sports car, but a kickass kangoo. im there. honestly, the kangoo base obviously has its limits, but it looks super nicely built detail-wise... quirky, personal, and track capable. max respect to the different point of view in ring fun. i have the same gloves haha
I was impatiently waiting for that video, love that van! I hope to travel to the ring with my rs182 converted kangoo and do some fun laps. Keep uploading such nice content!
Honestly, at this point... Pretty much everyone on the Nurburgring is going to drive a race-spec some sort of hot-hatch or supercar... But this is by far, the best Nurburgring spec'd car ive seen. No one ever in the world would thought of making a van into a racecar but this guy definitely nailed it! This just shows to prove that you can turn anything into a racecar if you put your mind to it, but most important it really shows it doesn't matter what you drive but how you drive it. Well done!
Awesome lap, great driving and the best part is the giant windscreen. Together with the lower speed it gave such a great view of the autumn colored Nordschleife! Amazing!
Ive seen a simmilar one on Trackday in Snetterton, UK with (I assume) clio 197/200 engine. That thing was bloody fast. I had a difficult time trying to overtake on the straight haha.
150 hp out of the 1,5 DCi engine ? That sounds like quite a lot from the 65hp variant … the 110 hp already have some different pistons and quite a different turbo. Not saying it can’t provide the hp but summing it up to 2 bars of pressure is probably quite far away from the full extent of the modifications…
My friend had a 65 HP version, but it was equipped with an intercooler (from factory!) opposed to other 65 Kangoo’s. It went over 100 HP with just a remap (as it basically was an 82HP version detuned to 65). 150 is high for this engine from that era so yeah, I wonder what was done here. I would give much so my Kangoo had that power (mine was 105hp and 220 Nm after remap) - I went with it to my first (and only) lap on Nurburgring :)
@@azagedon mine was a rectangular one, mounted down in front of radiator (FMIC), it has better air flow than the side mounted I believe. In later models of Kangoo/Clio/Megan’s etc it was side mounted one like in Yours, it was ok for daily driving, but can be less efficient under heavier loads.
This man doesn't really know what he's doing. He added unnecessary weight to the car. Someone should tell him that diesel does not need 10 coolers, only gas cars overheats.
Love it when you feature the quirky cars of the ring. The owners are always more interesting too
You can't buy quirkiness, some might say. haha
It has a torsion beam in the back. No leaf springs on the Kangoo!
Just to clarify - Kangoo doesn’t feature leaf springs, it has twist beam rear suspension. So it’s not that ancient over there, only a bit medieval ;)
Yeah there called torsion bars
@@JD-eo7dryup. was to save space to allow for more rear trunk space.
@@SimonBauer7not only that it handles more weight being à comercial car and is cheaper to make.
It never ceases to amaze me how many vehicles you get in Europe that we never even hear of in Canada
Kangoo even have a following in Japan :-D
@@cooperturbo4598 Even some other Renaults seem to have a following in Japan! I love it!
its the same the other way around, we can't buy most of the murrican brands and/or models in europe.

You are very welcome!
Andre is the man! Many laps done on the passengerseat, his E30 is so high up my wishlist! 2022, can’t wait.
The active aero cracked me up 😂
imagine 24h endurance race in this :D

well the first gen kangoo is essentially a clio II anyways so there is that. and it has the engine of a hot hatch.
I love the active aerodynamic 😍 You don't need 300 bhp to have fun on Nürburgring
You don’t even need Nurburgring to have fun with your car. The safest car is the car sitting in your garage.
@@lulolee5325 What’s your point?
Another amazing video, pls, more videos with cars like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The perfect instructional lap, proves lots of power not required to enjoy the Ring.

There should be a 24h race for only shitboxes, would be amazing.
Wie ich sehe hat er die goldene Ananas der touristenfahrten Weltmeisterschaft gewonnen. Hut ab
I love the active aero roof, activated by putting a window down and up. :)
So refreshing to see builds like this. Truly a 1/1. The lap was very smooth I have to say.
That just shows that you can have fun in almost any car on the Nürburgring. Great to see also cars like that doing their laps there.
Love seeing crazy laps with crazy cars like this ha ha!
Have a Kangoo dCi 70 myself, extremely lovely car haha
Zou lachen zijn als je zo een gekke “Superturbo” Mercedes met een opgevoerde OM606 op de Ring kan krijgen, moet je eens opzoeken hier op youtube 🤣
Anything goes at the ring, think I need to take my VW T5 around there.
Nice lap, looks like it’s a french cars day today….
Ready made clubsport spec with no interior to take out
Not even three minutes in and I'm scratching my head, thinking about how often this must've been stopped already by police lol
Is it faster than the Dacia?
Now this is what I call "special delivery" =)
Cant see any sign of Misha in the comments, nice.
Holidays done right.
cu.
I would love to see a speedo overlay on your videos.
Nice fridayvid anyway. Cheers 🤘🏁
Would love to see the Kangoo with a pd130 or some other diesel making a bit more power I bet that thing handles surprisingly well!
unless he modded something the body roll of a kangoo especially a First Gen one is a lot trust me i know.
Thanks. Just what I needed on this dreary November day. This is what Touristenfahrten is all about. Love it.

i mean a first gen kangoo isnt very heavy. just bad aero due to it being a brick.
How many Horse Power?
Not gonna lie, I thought it would have been faster.
Still love it .
yeaaaahhhhhhhhhh the kangoo RS! I love it!

This is what you call a momentum car :)
Except it's a van not a car
Now this is a true enthusiast
Yes, a real speed enthusiast.
Mega geile Kiste.....Mega....und auch Schön :-)
Obviously you do not need a hyper car to have lots of fun on the Ring🤣 So good to see and a sensible cost I would think to replicate. “love it”👍👍👍

I have a kangoo 1,4 mt expression, 2008 year
65k on the odometer and fully original design. So good car, I have fun every day
Good video

Hmnnn. Bonnets raised like that don't help with airflow at all. Unless you want air coming in the wrong way
Great vid Misha.
What a quirky little nugget, love it.
Nice 😀😀
Fun stuff 😅
Wow thats so cool
Kangoo squealing and it's not even Misha driving! Please show drives in the nearby towns while the Ring is closed.
Great , that is much more fun than the super car videos. Mainly because of the sticker mania :-)
What engine is the kangoo running?
Kangooring sounds better.
This Kangoo can goo! It's a Ringoo
What a beautiful day/evening to do a lap of the Nurburgring
Oh that was great fun to watch! Where Kangoo can no one can!I know it was that bad! I am going to the corner of the room ;)

Yes
