    Does this tune do anything to help Challengers with the cylinder misfire when starting in sub 40 degree weather?

    • @lloydzgarage
      @lloydzgarage  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for reaching out. We do change fueling on start up a little bit to help with that as well as other mods. Challengers and thunderstroke engines alike can be a bit finicky starting when really cold. Sometimes the rear cylinder fires but the front takes a revolution or 2 to get itself going, it's quite common in combustion engines across the board, many people are very used to experiencing this with their lawnmowers or older diesel trucks. The Challenger ECU is very sensitive so it reports even the slightest misfire and can throw a code. The latest indian update helps this, and our tune helps some as well. Its likely this issue will be improved, or go away entirely after the flash. If for some reason your bike does do this once in a while still a simple shut down and re start should help it. This is the procedure for you to clear codes at home without going to your dealer for a simple error light. I hope this information helps
      Reset Error/Trouble Codes
      Ignition Key (IK) OFF
      Kill Switch (KS) OFF
      Turn IK ON
      Turn KS ON
      Fuel pump will cycle
      Turn KS OFF
      Turn IK OFF
      Wait 10 seconds
      Repeat sequence another three (3) times ...... That’s four (4) times in total.
      At the fourth (4th) time, start the bike after the fuel pump has cycled.
      Run the engine for 30 seconds, then shut down normally.
      Most (if not all) codes should have cleared to the historic memory.

    Hello read lots of cons on Indian forum on detonation on Lloyd’s tune. Has this issue been corrected?

    • @lloydzgarage
      @lloydzgarage  2 года назад +1

      Hey! In the very early days of the flash, we did have some bikes with detonation issues. Those have since been corrected and we now have optimized ignition maps that work fantastically with all bikes and parts combinations. We have tuned over 5000 Challengers alone, so we have used years worth of data to compile tunes for each bike's specific needs. We also have a very vast dealer network which makes it easy to help pinpoint any issues if they were to ever arise and help solve them with certified polaris techs around the world.

      So sent mine off to them, just waiting, will see if it sorts the lagging throttle response and the serging under 30mph.

    Does this void the factory or extended warranty ?

    • @lloydzgarage
      @lloydzgarage  3 года назад

      Good question! Indian has the ability to deny a claim.. but we have never seen them void a warranty! If it doesn't involve our parts they will cover and if it does, Lloyd'z Garage stands by our word and will help out.
