i still remember this day. i was in my dorm and all you heard was screaming from multiple rooms and everybody gathering in the hall talking about beyoncé
My grandmother died that day and Beyoncé released maybe my 2nd favorite album of hers (#1 is Renaissance). It’s maybe the most emotional I’ve ever been on a single day and yes, Heaven hit me like a truck.
The Beyonce we know today is defined by the self-titled release. I remember spending nights just watching the videos over and over again, it was amazing
I was a sophomore in college and I was in bed about to go to bed, immediately realized she dropped when I refreshed Apple Music and the way my jaw dropped... I now speak sign language.
No gimmicks or nothing! Do y'all hear me🗣️?!! No pre-orders, No Streaming, No promo etc... Her name alone 👑 I've been obsessed with music & the industry since I was kid and Lemme tell you... when this dropped it was earth shattering!!!! Even Beyoncé herself was shook... She was expecting the worst😂 & was very surprised at the outcome. Y'all need to stop all comparisons to Bey... The girls & boys will never do anything as monumental as this.
