The Trainmaster remains one of my favorite diesels. I love how the motor revs randomly as it travels the track. The layout is a WIP, planning an extension before adding additional scenery. Thanks for the positive comment.
Glad you enjoyed the review. I didn't realize that the Virginian and N&W were related. I really like the engine and will be running it often. Its so much bigger than GP30's of the same period. I must for any collection. Thanks for watching and welcome aboard!
The Trainmaster remains on the layout and is a favorite diesel. I love the unique sound of the motor. And that it revs periodically. Just discovered that the newer PS3 diesels have quilling horns. Even more fun!
Black & Yellow.... Yes, its a standout especially in a sea of black steamers. Great sounding motor AND a quilling horn (just discovered). Still on the layout which means it gets run. Thanks for watching & welcome aboard!
I've been focusing my recent collecting on matching consists to engines and visa versa. This Trainmaster happily pulls its Virginian coal hoppers. Now I 'need' a Virginian caboose to complete the train.
Brian, thanks for the comment and welcome aboard! During the last year I've added a handful of transition-era diesels like the Trainmaster. These are great to run alongside my favorite steamers. So much so that I have yet to run any of my modern-era diesels.
Nicely done review! Some really nice layout work in progress too!👍

Always thought that paint scheme was great, and on a Trainmaster, all the better. Great sounds.

Thanks for watching. Glad you liked the video.
Nice engine, great details, love those close up photos really show it off. Looks great with those coal cars!

David, thanks for watching. I agree, it’s a great engine. I got it for over 100 less than msrp. I’ve seen PS2 versions for not much less.
Thanks for your review.
Fantastic review and great looking loco! -Brian
