Returning to the Corporate world after my second maternity leave, the environment that I went back to was very different to the one I had left. Following an IPO I found myself in a totally different culture and environment, I stuck it out for 14months and then decided I needed something more, both personally and professionally.
I came across the SJP Academy purely by chance, even though the HQ is based in my local town. Scrolling on FB I saw an event for females to learn more about financial services and the SJP Academy. Listening to the talks, I went through a mental tick box of what I was looking for and so many were marked off.
Fast forward 5 years, I now have a career which meets both my professional aspirations of making a difference and the ability to be present as a mum for my 2 young daughters.
