I just realized that they added the stem separation and was using RIPX until now, super excited to use it! Amazing beat that you created for this video! You got a new subscriber brother
Im having trouble with the Serato Sampler. so basically How can I change my chops so where it cut offs after the split? Because all the time with my chops they be overlapping eachother. So how can I add a cut off to my chops? because it keeps on overlapping on the others.
They cut each other automatically, don’t they? If you want the slices to be played only up until a certain point you can use gate mode (the icon on the upper left hand corner).
Hey thank you for watching! I'm not sure tbh, might not be possible. You may have to freeze and flatten your Serato Sample track to get the audio file in Ableton.
Out of your experience with sampling and chopping...MPC, Maschine, Push, SP404, Serato... Do you have a #1 preferred method? Or a definitive "Top 3"? Thanks for all your sensei content, LHB.
Hey, much appreciated! 1. Ableton Live with computer screen, mouse and keyboard - fastest and most flexible. 2 Maschine is great too for best hardware workflow, very fast and fluid. 3. Push is slower but still good. They all work in a very similar manner, so I was surprised to see that Serato Sample works differently. It threw me off a bit, but I probably need to spend more time with it.
2 questions...I have just got the 30 day trial. Is there a way to make each slice choke the other, or what I mean is have only that slice play when you hold down a button and not the full sample from slice start? Second question, can you export the sample into Ableton once you have used a stem to turn off bass lets say? I can find either of these functionalities
Hey man, I always answer technical questions in my comments, but if you watched the video, you'd have heard that this is the first time I'm using Serato Sample, so I will not be able to answer these until I've learned it properly.
This is cool but I've always hated the sound artifacts (sounds like very low quality MP3 in my option) that time stretching has even on the best algorithms for both DAWS & Vst's. I still stick with pitching Up/Down, but sometimes the combination of the 2 has a nice effect.
Sure, it be like that sometimes. In Ableton Live choosing the correct warping mode for the type of material you're processing makes a big difference in quality. If you don't go too far from the original length/pitch it can be pretty clean.
Fantastic!! Clean track!! 💯 But, how is it on being a CPU hog? My laptop is getting up there in age & i already max out if i use Massive and Kontact simultaneously! 😂🤣😭
Thanks for checking out the video as always Len! I haven't noticed any excessive CPU usage on M1 Mac. Definitely get the free trial and see how it works on your CPU. It' not as CPU heavy as Kontakt though.
@@LowHeatBeatsThey need to add a way to truncate the sample asap like Ableton has. Loading a long sample of 4 minutes in serato becomes a mess when trying to chop manually.
@LowHeatBeats but how do I get keys and guitar in my track? I couldn't find the answer, so I just recorded the output of my daw that was playing the track in serato, but i can't imagine that's how it's supposed to be done
I don't know. I'm not sure if Serato Sample is the best tool for this. What you're trying to achieve would be better done with something like lalal.ai or any other stem separation tool that renders the stems as as separate files.
Thank you! It's my own preset called Luxury Bass from my Ableton Live Pack Synth-Hop Essentials. You can buy it here - lowheat.gumroad.com/l/rtZOi?layout=profile
Just find all the chords in a certain key (Emin in this case) but instead of the basic triads play 7 & 9 chords. There aren’t even any chords from outside of the key in this case which is a more advanced technique.

Yo this is fire 🔥🎶 this track needs a full release
I appreciate that! I will probably release it on my next EP.
Just heard the EP! Super dope 🔥🎶 thanks for adding this track 👏🏻

Ive been going back to my older beats since ive made most of them on Serato, and holy shit. The amount of things ive changed is insane.
You mean Serato Studio?
Been waiting for this since they rolled it out for Serato dj pro. Super stoked to start playing around with this in Maschine
Yeah, I’m excited too! But I’m hoping NI add this to Maschine at some point. iZotope have the technology, so implementing it should be possible.
@@LowHeatBeats it’s on the roadmap for Traktor too 👀
Nice beat! 👌
Much appreciated!
good stuff
Much appreciated!
Thanks brotha can I ask if you can separate full stems from Serato sample and load them to Ableton?

Hmmm! Native instruments should definitely incorporate stems separation tool into their software 🥹

Dumb question. If I just want keys and guitar of the entire track, how do I get that onto a track?
Turn off drums, bass and vocals and you’re left with keys and guitar.

almost thinking I will separate with my audio with my tool before loading into serato

te instrument icons arent there for me
You're probably using v1 then.

It’s cool but pretty unusable as it is. Stems sound terrible every time I’ve tried to use it.
Depends on what role the sample will play in your production. I’m very happy with how it sounds In this particular track, I will be releasing it soon.
@@LowHeatBeats I don’t completely disagree. But we don’t all have your ability either. For me, the artifacts just sound awful.
I also don’t disagree that it can sound bad sometimes.
Spectralayers Pro 10 is way better
I’m not familiar with it but I will look into it.
