Maybe there’ll be some psychological follow on; I noticed a circular from quora this morning on the subject of ‘does trauma create asexuality’, I suppose it depends what kind.
I’m surmising it would be deemed grossly vulgar to ask lots of probing questions or broach flanking subjects, to people who’ve been through these type of traumas, if there are that many found alive after such misfortune.
But again, how the personality and psychological reactions mould from adversity, might be surprising; guess it depends on the grooming style a person has been exposed to, whether they’d react with introversion/extroversion.
And that too is a strange concept, since most of the adult women I’ve ever met who wear Mary Jane slippers and little clips in their hair like they’re still a pre-teen don’t tend to like me because I don’t tell them how special they are; I find they’re quite adverse to my un-covert style of communication and analytical processes, which is really odd because I wouldn’t say I was at all a bludgeoning unsophisticat in communicative skills.

Hi, I am British, and I had kind of forgotten about Clement Freud, so did a quick Google.....the amount of unsavoury characters who popped up in connection with him in the first say, ten results was disproportionate to say the least.
Of course none of this was apparent until quite a few years after he had died.
Only 31 minutes in and as always you have such dense and multilayered content that I have to keep pausing to Google, or go back as I have missed a juicy factoid while I was momentarily distracted. On tack of what I’m actually interested in… I’d never heard that about Alfred Hitchcock, yet when I switch the films on, I speak to my mother and the film repeats what I’ve said… obviously with todays NLP techniques I believe I even urinate on command of a remote control and often liken my picture with a dead bird on my head as the Hitchcock Mattel factory doll of ‘the birds’ film; except obviously I don’t wear the laddette to lady style green tweed skirt suit. But still, my knowledge on the cia conspiracy of how my mind operates by programming & remote control is still a mystery. And it’s not like I read any books, newspapers, or watch much tv & radio due to constant abrasion; So how is it possible to programme a brain with minimum exposure to media broadcasting, except via other people, their language and syntax? And why do other peoples brains not react in the same areas of language maps, when exposed to similar content?

    • @lucyhanks500
      @lucyhanks500 5 месяцев назад +3

But then he starts complaining thats it’s 2024, not 1910, 1930’s, 1950’s… the problem being… remote controls and no apparent free will; if I imagine reading all the family names names in 50’s science papers, with babies being conceived of babies…going slightly further back…. Does that mean the question is not when one is conceived, but why and ‘what’s was conceived. When do people’s philosophical wanderings change from who am I, to what am I; maybe all and sundry were looking to process their own psyche,
Via a Rorschach style inkblot test. It does seem often that people read whatever they like into text and often even into no speech at all; And when there is No consistent logical syntax to create form in repetition.
When writing text from both emotive affect and neutrality, I often find I read back over my text and find I can’t remember what I was talking about at the time, since though process is triggered by not only response to textural stimulus directly, but sets of triggers on multiple platforms of stimulus. Say I reading RUclips whilst watching tv and there appears a correlating set of triggers, even if I’m reading something posted supposedly 5 years ago and as I’m reading, the tv is chyming in synchronised timing, even if the programme isn’t live streamed.
I would configure that some type of algorithm lead me to the comment in synchronised timing; but how does that work technically?

Although in terms of being pigeonholed into particular personality group traits, it was said Jack the Ripper sent letters to the police as a form of dupers delight too, so you’re not alone in that particular psychological nuance of intellectual superiority, I find it’s rather common actually.

I didn't know anything about Clement Freud until now. Yep, Mary Shelley did not write Frankenstein. Apparently, it was a communal effort by her husband and friends while on vacation in Lake Como. I have no way of verifying that info. I was told that by an "insider." I felt the same way as you on my first reading of JD Salinger's Catcher when I was a preteen, or maybe in 8th grade. Creepy. My elementary school actually had a copy of James Baldwin's "Go Tell It on the Mountain" which I checked out. If you've ever read the book, it's not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18. The control system is very rigid and one of its main goals is to get to children and f*ck them up, literally and figuratively. You have covered a panorama of affairs in this talk. I hope people take the time to watch it. I live on a little one way street called "Muriel Avenue" in Toronto. One block away is Pape Avenue intersecting the Danforth, once famous for being a slice of the Mediterranean. For some time, the culture of this area and of the whole of Toronto have been vandalized. The Toronto Councillor in our area is the previous head of the Communist Party of Manitoba. She has allowed the entire block from Pape to Eaton Avenue to be confiscated from small businesses who also sometimes live above the stores. A house on the end of our little street was expropriated. Trucks as big as football fields drive both ways on our little one way street. How are they going to destroy an entire block to make way for a 48 story condominium to sprawl along an entire block? I got a letter from a lawyer last year advising me to contact them concerning the deal to expropriate the earth under my house for the subway extension. The Don Valley Parkway has at least 15 gigantic swing gates with wide red and white bands, anchored in huge concrete blocks. They are open for now. I feel like I am sitting on a potential disaster area!

They destroyed the houses on the west side and south end of Eaton Street. Horrific. Land use laws prohibited this in the past.

I am certainly glad you are here to give us the real-deal viewpoint. I had the same students in AP English who were know-it-alls. Many hated me when i corrected them about XYZ, but hell, that was once my job. Growing up, I was blessed that my father was not a Marxist. Instead, he was a lifer in Jung and Campbell. I grew up looking at the art in those books. Dad would give me quick Zen-like examples from those archetypal books (pardon the pun) as "teachable moments" (excuse the Obama quote). I would later go on to take a few classes in Jung and Campbell at the university, but that was the old days. Those classes are not offered these days. Thanks to my practice in Rinzai Zen, a life-long practice, I was able to put other perspectives under the old microscope, becoming neutral on even my father's guides. Even though my family was never rich, I was surely both lucky and blessed. Love your clever puns, and humor. You really put old Sigmund on notice in this one. Good work, professor.

Just found this. At last someone who has questioned Madeleine “disappearance” and came to the same conclusion ( mostly) that most of us suspected.

As you probably suspected, most of the lectures are sleep-inducing even if the subject is exciting. But the reading is good.

That "Neverland" book (53 min) about J.M.Barrie's sinister life of Psychic Crime is a chill-shocker real-life horror story That haunts me 😱
I stress the word CHILL because of chapter on the spell he cast on that explorer Scott who subsequently sleep-walked, totally ill-equipped entranced, to his doom in Antarctica ... Neverland 🥶 BRRRRHH !!
Not only are you onto this whole creepy topic & in deep ( like no-one else).... it's just another brick in your wall 🤗!! WOW

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
