Out of the Onimusha games Michelle tries so damn hard in order to survive against the oncoming threats as an independent fighter but ends up getting out numbered at times and because of this she gets saved by Samanosuke however Michelle tries her damn hardest at not only showing just how badass she is but she tries to win over Henri's affection time and time again. If I was Henri and I just lost my Mother and I knew that I will never see her again then I wouldn't be against the idea of having a new Mother in my life yet Henri rejects Michelle over and over again and making Jacques life even more miserable. How many Women has Jacques had before Michelle and Henri rejected them all and in the end those Women just up and leaves Jacques and in the end it's all Henri's fault for being too selfish and never considers his Father's feelings. Michelle is a fine Woman and is clearly a Mother in heart and if I was Henri I would have accepted her at the start since Michelle to me is just so beautiful but instead he resented her thinking that she will make Jacques forget about his Mother which is just stupid. I know I went on a tangent but needless to say Michelle has a lot to deal with and she handles everything well. Her persistence pays off because of Ako when she summons Henri's Mother's apparition and she tells him to move on with his life and then he finally accepts Michelle. The whole closure arc is good for story telling purposes but because of first impressions I still do not like Henri till this very day.

The game itself states how Henri felt he was responsible for his mother's death making him even more rejecting of people approaching him. What if someone else dies because of him. He actually almost lost Michelle (in his eyes) when the two-headed dog attacked her.

Funny how you also neglected to mention that Kaede had to search for Samanosuke (whom was trapped fighting Hecuba at the time) while also being able to somehow find the ONE arrow needed to break the Demon Gate seal. Oh, and rigging some of the nearby little boats with explosives to make Hecuba burn since Raid was not a thing in that era.
I remember playing this game years ago wishing I could have played more of Michelle. I will never forget how good this game was for its time. I miss these days.
man Onimusha 3 and dawn of dreams OST are very good.. I think I would know what this theme is about even if I had not played the game, there's something courageous in it, and it's not just the title xD and samanosuke theme sounds like justice
