Love your video !Do we need to have IDR for all the trip? Approximately how much for organizing trip like this ( only for islands part)? Any places on Raja Ampat we can exchange money ? Thank you!
Thank you. Yes you need to have IDR in cash. We had big amounts with us. The same with other people we asked. How much? Depends on where you want to stay and what activities (diving, snorkeling, island hopping) you want to do. I don't remember any exchange office. Only ATMs. In Sorong and I think in Waisai port. He had changed all our money in Jakarta airport just to be sure.
Dont go raja ampat at rainy season in october to march...not really good for photography...and nice to know ,raja ampat is bigger 50 times than koh phi phi, from north wayag islands to south misool islands...as indonesian,i had gone there 2 years ago...and i think it s so expensive to go there and need much effort....thats why raja ampat is not reall popular and not much known than other destinations...like koh phi phi, coron palawan etc
You really made a beautiful video with beautiful images of your trip. Also a big compliment, how everything is made with image and sound. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next videos.
Thank you! We had the gopro 7 with us. Couldn't pack any light this time. Tried to fix some clips in post as much as possible. Lost a sim card with all snorkeling and diving in Rufas.
Hello. Thank you for the Video. Can you tell us with wich Company die you flight from Vienna and how much does it cost? Do EU citizen need Visa? How is the Internet there? Thank you. Dan and Crisalida
We flew with Saudi through Jeddah to Jakarta. It cost about 350 per person round trip. We paid for visa at the airport upon arrival. Internet was good. We got a sim card at the airport. There was good coverage at all places except Kamar.
Just another great travel video from you! You're amazing! 😁 What camera did you use underwater? The footage looks amazing! I have a go pro 9 but it doesn't have such good clarity underwater.
So good man! Love the FPV shots, they really bring something special to the story. Next time I travel with you ;). Looking forward to seeing some bigger sharks soon!!!!!
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. I'm going there the end of this month. Now I'm extra excited! Your longboat to Rufas Island, did you prebook? If so, with whom? Thanks
Thank you! Yes it was arranged in advance, with the homestay. Probably through the middleman i was texting with through whatsapp, to fix the Rufas reservation in the first place.
You are simply the BEST 🤘
Just came across this video while researching for my first Raja Ampat trip. Thanks for sharing your experience. The videography and in particular the drone shots are stunning. I am planning for a 1 week trip. Do you recommend sticking to one island or staying in 2 different islands. Also any island in particular you recommend. I am hoping for boat trips and dive trips. Thanks again
Thank you for your comment. Depends on how you like to spend your time. If you like to relax most of the time, probably a single island is enough. If you like to see more places and snorkel/dive in different locations, 7 days are good to split into two different homestays. About which island/homestay, you will have to do some investigation. If you want to go to Wayag, staying in Kamar is highly recommended so you avoid a 4 hour (each way) day trip to get there. Kri was good. A lot of people stay on Gam as well. If you like quiet places, make sure you avoid some homestays near villages :)
Raja Ampat is the most expensive tourist destination in my opinion, but maybe it will all be worth it with the stunning natural panorama. Hopefully you can also come to Derawan Islands, there are also very beautiful and not many foreigners know about.
It was indeed expensive. Mostly to get there. We want to go to Derawan in the future. Probably combine it with a longer trip to include Sulawesi and Seram.
Thank you! It's better to contact John to ask for a price. We paid for the whole package (transportation to Kamar and Wayag and for the lodging in Kamar), so not sure how much was just the transfer.
Hi... Can you please share me the contact for Kamar Raja Homestay? Not the guide.... But the Manager or people in charge of this Homestay. Thanks a lot in advance
To Surabaya we bought about a month or two before the trip, after we got our long haul flight tickets. But from Surabaya to Bail, we bought two days before the flight.
Tough question... Probably would be either Kamar or Kri. Depending on what i wanted. Full isolation and pristine environment, or more people and options around.
nice show! i will definitively keep some of the addresses. it would have been helpful and interesting to share the prices of the accommodation per night and the scuba diving trips
Wow, amazing videography and storytelling. 👌🏻May I ask which camera did you use for shooting, not the underwater footage but normal footage, image quality and clarity is exceptional ❤
