While I was reading the comments here it must have reset because I look at my screen and the gear was hovering on the orb. Haza success and I can now do the world quest. Thank you.

The reward for the WQ changes every 2 weeks and it is random - It was a year before the Fathom Dweller showed as a reward the last time from all my research and talking to people. Just keep checking the map you don't need to go there to see what the reward is :)

do you need to do orbs again if you get pet or just wait 2 weeks for another quest?
You'll just need to wait for the WQ to reset again and check the reward, you won't have to do the orb's again :)

Idk i just get The pets all The Time.. 3 pets and The 2 weeks after i got all 3 still Pet
