The Republican representative for Iowa, Ashley Hinson, has appeared on FOX News claiming that China’s offer to welcome 50,000 U.S. students to study in China is an attempt at brainwashing them, and she wants it stopped.
On the contrary, Westerners in general visiting China achieves the opposite: allowing them to see China with their own eyes literally UNDOES years of propagandizing by Western media and governments who want to desperately teach their youth that the West is the best, and China is a dark, dirty, dangerous dystopia.
That’s why Representative Ashley Hinson, who claims to have ruffled feathers in the CCP media when I confronted her on Twitter, knows that full well.

My Korean-American friend said since young, she was told and taught in school that America was the land of the free, the land of opportunities and the most blessed country on earth; American propaganda starts real early for everyone. The issue with the way a lot of Americans are raised is that they are taught to value style over substance and aesthetic over effect. You see this in the main ways they insist they’re superior - because “freedom of speech” and “democracy”.
But what good is your supposed freedom of speech and democracy when most of your people can’t afford healthcare, houses, or higher education, your kids keep getting shot in schools, your taxpayer money is sent overseas to commit genocide, and your public facilities continually decrease in quality? Not to mention the USA doesn’t have free speech anyways, nearly 3000 students have been arrested for protesting against genocide just these past few weeks. And USA democracy right now is simply choosing between the fascist on the red party or the fascist on the blue party. But then American nationalists will simply say “b-b-but muh China, Russia, Iran!” It’s never about genuine improvement, it’s merely about convincing the American people that fancy words should suffice instead of actual human rights and, if that fails, at least American fascism is “better” than other countries.

I've been following the American family in China and they have had the best holiday of their life, they were in absolute awe in every step they took.
And they want to visit China again in six months. Already planning their next visit. If that doesn't tell you something about the greatness of China nothing will.

American students will be really amazed at the caliber of intelligent the Chinese students are. They’re extremely superior in every way. I have met quite a few at churches in America. They told me that they were just the none competitive lot of students that looked for opportunities abroad. That’s there’s very little chance for them to be admitted to the most competitive universities in China. If competing with them is Chinese propaganda, then American students got no chance on anything else. It’s their chance to meet their future friends, the future of China. Thanks Andy. I agree 100% with you, Andy Boreham. I grew up in USA and went as an exchange student to the UK. I later moved to the UK and married and had children there. Going outside of the States really opened my eyes, and I hadn't even left the West. People-to-people exchange is the best way to help link hands and hearts and promote peace and harmony.
