Fantastic video showing so many colorful gemstones! Question : What should I pay most emphasis on when I go to buy a gemstone? Is it fair to say that just relying on a gemstone certificate is not enough?

Great question.
When buying any gemstone one should always check the six criteria's (as shown below) before determining if the price is fair or not.
a) Carat weight
b) Color
c) Clarity
d) Cut
e) Origin
f) Treatments
Gemstone certificate helps narrow down some of these criteria though it is not enough as you do have to judge the color & clarity yourself as the labs are not 100% accurate.
Also the reputation of gem labs matters.
