This brings back so much emotion and nostalgia. The memories... man I don’t even know where to start. Summer of 2010: I was in 3rd grade, my family had just moved about 500 miles away, so we had to give away our pets because they couldn’t handle the drive. We had no money, neither of my parents had jobs. I did have a wii though. We stayed at my crazy (literally) grandmas house in the hood, and man that wii was my life. All I had was new super Mario bros. I saved some money and my dad took me to game stop for the first time. With 40 dollars of birthday money, I spotted SUPER MARIO GALAXY. I put in the Wii and was determined to save peach after I saw her kingdom get destroyed and the happy festival ruined. The game was my refuge to the harsh reality outside of it. This song sticks with me to this day. I loved gliding with those flowers in the gusty garden, hearing this magical tune. I still have this game and the console. Sometimes I’ll put it on and cry because of all the thoughts that come into mind. I was so innocent and sad at the time and just had infinite love for the game that sticks with me to this day. Back when my family first got this game for the Wii (which I was 5-7 years old), we would constantly just fight over who should play, and seeing this video today brings back so much memories, like how I was the first person to 100% complete the game with Mario and Luigi. I never really understood the ending back as a child, and was really confused what the heck happened, and finally learning about it years later, I can never stop crying whenever I see it. Thank you Super Mario Galaxy for this magical journey. (Side Note: I would also like to thank Super Mario Galaxy 2, since I got it 2 or 3 years ago, and was able to beat it 100% with Mario and Luigi)
Well they don't actually close it, they just made the black hole to restore the things it swallow. (But technically the black hole recreated a mini big bang who restore the galaxy) (So yes, everyone died, but they were created again in the same form and with the same memories)

This and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are some of the only games whose endings make me tear up. Mario Galaxy 1 was the first wii game i ever played when i was 2 years old way back in 2008.

Super Mario Galaxy has such a “grand” scale; just like our universe, Galaxy’s universe is so massive and amazing but also powerful and unknown. And then the music is just so awesome because it feels like the future of the universe is truly in Mario’s hands!!!
This has to have one of the most intense endings! Mario gets the grand star well bad idea the galaxy core turns into a giant blackhole devouring the whole universe then the lumas recreate the big bang!!!
As an 8-year old, I didn’t have the courage to fight kingfin. I was scared! When I replayed this game at 12, I learned how relatively easy he was to beat.

I remember watching videos like this when the game first came out because I didn’t have it but I loved it so much. Then for my birthday my grandparents got it for me and so realize I was like seven years old so I was like crying because of how happy I was. It meant so much to me, this brings back great memories. Still can’t get past the first bowser though ;-; I’m probably going to go and power up the game again and play some easy bosses to prepare. Lol.
I never finished the game when I first played it. I just didn’t have the motivation to. 6 years later when I was 14, I finally completed it. I remember watching the final scene and getting ready emotional. This game teaches you an important lesson. How nostalgic.

Super Mario Legends well the boulder Geist is hard it did only take one try for me but when he summons the rocks you can shoot star bits at them to destroy them and the daredevil comet took 23 trys

This game is so good that I actually beat it 6 times. All the bosses are so cool and I love the gameplay, but for whatever reason, I actually beat Super Mario Galaxy 2 twice before beating this game once. This game is SOOOO GOOD, the Galaxy games easily reigns superior over so many of the other mario games.
My favorite Mario game! I love it so much because as a kid I didn't have an N64 or GameCube, so I couldn't play stuff like Mario Sunshine or Mario 64. When I got Galaxy I knew it was going to be a fresh game with good bosses and graphics. I mostly enjoyed the open world experience, I never played anything like it! The galaxies were phenomenal and creative! The hub world with the addition of the new character, Rosalina was so fantastic! So there you go, that's what I think of Super Mario Galaxy, in my opinion, it tops the 2nd.

This is by far the most gritty Mario game I’ve ever played lol. I mean, Bowser tries to take over the universe with his Galactic Empire, a supermassive black hole almost consumes the entire universe, and then all the Lumas sacrifice themselves to save it! Also, on a random note, the string instruments in this game are GOD-LIKE!!! And this game is still a masterpiece in 2023. Either this or Odyssey gets my pick for the best 3D Platformer

My frikin childhood game
I remember watching videos like this when the game first came out because I didn’t have it but I loved it so much. Then for my birthday my grandparents got it for me and so realize I was like seven years old so I was like crying because of how happy I was. It meant so much to me, this brings back great memories. Still can’t get past the first bowser though ;-; I’m probably going to go and power up the game again and play some easy bosses to prepare. Lol.
I never finished the game when I first played it. I just didn’t have the motivation to. 6 years later when I was 14, I finally completed it. I remember watching the final scene and getting ready emotional. This game teaches you an important lesson. How nostalgic.

Super Mario Legends well the boulder Geist is hard it did only take one try for me but when he summons the rocks you can shoot star bits at them to destroy them and the daredevil comet took 23 trys

This game is so good that I actually beat it 6 times. All the bosses are so cool and I love the gameplay, but for whatever reason, I actually beat Super Mario Galaxy 2 twice before beating this game once. This game is SOOOO GOOD, the Galaxy games easily reigns superior over so many of the other mario games.

My favorite Mario game! I love it so much because as a kid I didn't have an N64 or GameCube, so I couldn't play stuff like Mario Sunshine or Mario 64. When I got Galaxy I knew it was going to be a fresh game with good bosses and graphics. I mostly enjoyed the open world experience, I never played anything like it! The galaxies were phenomenal and creative! The hub world with the addition of the new character, Rosalina was so fantastic! So there you go, that's what I think of Super Mario Galaxy, in my opinion, it tops the 2nd.

This is by far the most gritty Mario game I’ve ever played lol. I mean, Bowser tries to take over the universe with his Galactic Empire, a supermassive black hole almost consumes the entire universe, and then all the Lumas sacrifice themselves to save it!
Also, on a random note, the string instruments in this game are GOD-LIKE!!!
And this game is still a masterpiece in 2023. Either this or Odyssey gets my pick for the best 3D Platformer
