- On this day in 1979, the Prince of Wales opened the Jubilee Line on the London Underground.
Prince Charles met with dignitaries during the royal visit, and even got to start the line's first journey!

My commute used to be a combination of the Central & Northern Lines 🤯 but, on Thursdays I used to go to a friend's house in Kilburn after work & had a lift home later. Getting on the Jubilee Line was like sitting into a limousine in comparison to the older trains !

This video was a nice trip down memory lane! On April 30th, 1979, I was about to turn 13 yrs.old, in May.
You looked young, ofcourse, in this video, and you were trying out your social wings, seeming to blend in with the mix of a large group of men.
What did your father, Prince Philip, think of your "outting"?
Now, you know that if Prince Philip was there, he would have been the center of attention!! Haha.
You really seemed to be having a good time, feeling free, and like just another citizen? (Like it was freedom for you).
*****just to mention, not that it matters now, but back then, on April 30th, 1979, when you Sir Charles, were having fun on that underground subway, well, that was a struggling time for me, as I was transitioning from age 12 to 13, and it was hard, because I was trying to go from an obedient respectable, "goody two shoes" 12 yr.old girl, to a rebellious teenager at 13, just to try to fit in with the other young people my age, back then.
If only I had the confidence, wisdom, and the maturity, (back then), that I do now, with my present mind, can you imagine how far, and successful, I would have been?! Lol.
