I keep hearing well off politicians and journalists saying the strikers are selfish and greedy and claiming they are all on really high salaries as if to suggest they are only striking for money and nothing else. This gets easily debunked but the politicians and journalists never seem to waver from these untruths.

@@frankieseward8667 unfortunately "the man on the street" isn't very smart, he doesn't realise that all of these unions are directly affiliated with the labour party, and this is a staged coup, it's not really a crisis, it's a half arsed awakening, people will flock to labour, and the process will repeat, but worse, people forget that tony blair setup EVERYTHING that the tories now take advantage of, and vice-versa, they could vote for a third party, but world war 2 psy-op's ensured no one ever voted for a third party ever again,
stuck, is the term i would use, the common folk are stuck, and i can assure you, those labour based union workers going on strike, is not the common folk, in fact, i have a parlimaentary ombudsmans investigation into the NHS, and i'll gladly spit on any medical staff i ever speak to again, got nothing to do with politics, they all gladly peddle big pharma, the doctors, not the politicians, where's my representation? do you even know how many lives these "doctors and nurses" have ruined?

For as long as money leaves the UK and heads to the Cayman Islands, there will forever be an imbalance that means we're all worse off, as we're the ones who have to replace the missing funding. I wouldn't mind some aspects of privatisation as long as the profits shareholders make are re-invested to make a service better, but alas, it goes to a bank account far, far away. Where we can't even recover a percentage of it through tax.

Some people prior to CoVid were operating that way, but able to cobble bits together that might constitute Savings/Investment and then because of layoffs, or due to inflation, whatever recently they operated at a deficit... literally spending more than they are making, eating into those future hopes so that they can survive today. @left_blank No thanks, we dont necessarily know what degrees we need in the future, and we will stop human progress and just be an employee trainer for companies, that is horrifyingly unambitious! And not what a university should be, i think people creating the curriciulum for universities are the most knowledgeable and in the best position and instead we would have the public and politicians decide what is good or not, everything that becomes politically contested risks being taken of and our knowledge and human progress would suffer.
I bet that a lot of history courses would be eradicated just because the contentious, we already see people disparingly talking about womens studies and gender studies and also many more soft science topics, by people that hasnt read a line of it but has seen a few youtube videos about it.
Women and Mens history is one of the most significant cultural expressions in society, but we shouldnt have people looking in to it.?
Do you or these people know a single line of it. NO they don't.
Philosophy is taken away, we had one obligatory course at my first education as an engineer, and i feel that is a huge lapse that we no longer have that, there so much inspiration in that field in how to think about things and i think we should introduce that again.
(I mentioned some of the fields that i heard people talk about most disparagingly without knowing a cent of what it contains)

    • @michaelk.jensen1611

@left_blank yeah that would be single persons doing some work that will down out instead of we as a society standing for progress. To bad you only think of one type of value in there here and now and don't like to be in an innovating society. We support those things that are not popular right now with the things that are easy and and earns a lot of money, you call it in demand to try and day that is an absolutely positive word that we should derive and base our decisions on, we will not progress much if we only focus on what is the rage, the hype in demand right now. That now how you drive a diverse interesting innovating society.
      That's just consumerism uber alles.
Where new ideas are taking very long to be researched and looked into.
It's and utterly poor and destute way to build our society.
And also makes it slower to move to new things because people are afraid to let go of what is the current driver o growth amd will try to keep that demand high "artificially ".

    • @michaelk.jensen1611
      @michaelk.jensen1611 Год назад

@left_blank no the poor is thay because of exploitation and the taking away of abundance of resources, not just a lot but resources are actually stripped away making even more poor people, a pipeline of wealth is extracted not just away from people but whole communities.l making it harder to prosper for people in whole regions.
When there is poor people and we fix the system to be less exploitable there are fewer poor people.
When your enterprise costs others in form of resources, money and health so much that they are more destitute you are not productive, you are extractive.
With systems in place there are less poor people more people being productive more people you can make agreements with.
Your idea sound like a 3. World country emerging I don't know why you would put that forward as something to strive for. For prejudice of poor people sounds an awful lot like people talk about people in lower castes in cast based societies. We know how damaging that is.
Is that what modern capitalism is to you or modern conservative libertarianism?
