@Maldrannon but then a little wind and ambient noise would enhance that melancholic feel if you're playing a game and you can hear exactly nothing but the sound of hitting pause/unpause this doesn't add to anything... otherwise you could argue opening an empty word document is beautifully melancholic
This is the leitmotif I associate the most with Kenshi, partly because I was first introduced to it by Rycon's roleplays of it and he used this leitmotif as the opener and stinger. But man is it an incredible part of the track.
This is kinda dark, but because of kenshi it makes me think of someone laying in the sun, awaking breathing heavily and disoriented in a mass of bodies after a huge battle; slowly bleeding out to death. Trying to find peace in their last moments in a world that doesn’t offer any. The idea breaks my heart alittle.
@@Davesoft literally in every second track? Scorching Wind, Sands at Dusk, The WIldgrass, Yearn for Night, Bog, Pit, Ashen Air, they all have these ambiances

An incredible game with an incredible soundtrack. The best part of the Kenshi soundtrack is it's gated behind potentially hundreds of hours of play. Many of these songs I've never heard because In my 150 hours of playing, I haven't been everywhere yet. It makes each song feel like a treasure when you hear it for the first time in game. It's part of what makes the exploration and discovery so rich in this game.
those music tracks aren't played in the game. what's actually played in the game are these little samples that last from 10 seconds to 1 minute. i haven't found them on the internet but i managed to get them myself
I feel like Fertile is one of the most significant tracks in the game, assuming that it refers to Okran's pride, one of the last fertile places left in this dying dustbowl--the swan's song of a dying world, the highest energy track in the game for the last place where life still holds on. It dances on--not in hope, but in one last crescendo before the end.
i think that's a little exaggerated-life in kenshi is flourishing, just mostly not in forms that are useful to humans. the various jungles and swamps all seem quite healthy and not like they're dying.
God, I hope not. I always considered Kenshi as a struggling world, but one that's ultimately very malleable by the player. You can destroy everything, or else destroy the groups holding the world back and create a new world that's peaceful and prosperous.

I heard “Sands at Dusk” my first real dusk free and outside (first night spent in the slammer). Heard the Asian inspired part watching nomads goo by as the sun set on a strange and new world.
This spectacular soundtrack matches the beauty of the game, it reminds me of all the forgotten stories and worlds of the 80s and 90s that now have lost their way, like Fallout 1 and 2. Even more so, this combination of melody mixed in with the sounds of the environment just makes me think of how many 100s of thousands of years of human history we've lost, how this world is constantly changing, and how alien past and future societies of Earth are and may be(I know Kenshi isn't Earth, maybe not even an exo-planet, but a moon) Great game, easily in my top five of all time.

(Minor spoiler ahead) I have this story of how I met a certain faction in the game that I think would be interesting to share. I started as a Scorchlander in the Hub and spent some time wandering around that part of the map, and since it was my 3rd or 4th new start I still was learning the ropes. Fast forward some days I have 2 followers in my group and I send my Ashlander and one of the followers to the bottom right of the map, as I intended to see why it was grey. A bit before the grey area I look to the horizon and see brown fumes erupting from a mountain. I see a hill to the left and observe machine parts on the top of it. I decide to venture forth, hoping to find skeletons or some creatures that can withstand harsh weathers and get greeted by lightning bolts falling around my "main" character. The other character stayed a bit behind. As the main guy enters the "mountain" with the machine parts I see theres some devices spread around and see some guys with a pink-tan coloured outfit. From the distance it looks a bit off and the darkness doesn't help much. I decide to enter a building to try to see these people better and one of them invites me to where more of them are located. My other guy is by the edge of this mountain, observing these people. Guy who invited me keeps making convesation and offers me "human food". At this point something just feels wrong as I also observe how weird their outfit looks. It has holes in the face where human eyes and the mouth should be and the metal inside is clearly visible. Why are these skeletons (I assume) wearing human skin-like outfits? One of them is standing still but has his looks fixated on me as I move a bit. "I want your skin". "Can I touch it?". This is where the madness truly unveils as they become hostile and try to hunt me down. I make my guy run upstairs and I see the most demented apparatus with my own eyes. This weird contraption that, although crude-looking, manages to do the difficult task of carefully removing the skin of the creature that is placed on it. "I have no way of escaping" I think. My character tries to run away but the skin wearers manage to clog the ramp leading to the machine and I am taken prisoner shortly after. And that spelled the end of this brave Ashlander who dared to wander into the Skin Bandits' house of madness. My other character is spotted shortly after and I manage to make a run for it, since he was well trained in running. As I am descending the mad mountain, I look back to a horde of these freaks following me at full speed in a single line fashion and there seems to be no end to them. I spot spider-shaped robots in the distance and manage to lead the skin bandits onto these robots. Chaos ensues and my character escapes alive... into the Ashlands. And this is how I met the skin-stealing skeletons that terrorize creature of flesh that come into their territory. Truly one of the Kenshi moments I will hardly forget, for sure.
while kenshi main theme display the merciless, desesperate and hopeless feeling of the world, fertile makes you feel like you must always continue agains the odds, to never give up and keep goin
Man this whole soundtrack is so good. Travelling to Mongrel for the first time and hearing the eerie cries of Pit playing through the fog was truly an experience.
Kenshi is a quiet place. Not because the dev couldn't make a big noisy world, but by choice... a sad malaconic place that narrates to you (the player), how this once alive world has turned into nothing but rust, ruin and sand. And if you stop for a moment you can see it too... our real life home one day shall very much become the same. We will be just dust and comments in a infinite universe that is youtube. My name, my real name forgotten to this fake construct of mine. What a time to be alive.
Breath of the world is such a beautiful song it’s so crazy that it was made for a game. That song feels like it belongs with symphony masterpieces. This game has such an inspiring soundtrack.
i cant explain how it feels to listen to something that not only sounds like it can be used when your winning but also losing i cant explain how it is like listening to something that conveys as much pain and relief as you feel when your losing a fight but you just barely survive because of a random encounter with a skimmer or slave hunters
It's fun, but hard at first and it'll take awhile to level up. you will get your a** kicked in by a single goat starting out. But it's worth it once your group gets strong enough to conquer whole cities.
Easily one of the best gaming scores. It's amazing how it's on the same level as major franchises like The Witcher and Elder scrolls, but probably produced on a fraction of those budgets.
the first time i reach the Ashlands i was like "finally, i have reached the endgame area, and im going to defeat the final boss of the game!" and then 44:08 plays

Do NOT mess with the skin bandits, my high leveled 6 man squad (60s-80s) got rekt by these swarm of infernal beings
a video with working time stamps? is this pornhub?
What a grand and intoxicating soundtrack!
What lovely noises, Nerevar!
This is how we honor the 6th House and the Tribe Unmourned
while kenshi main theme display the merciless, desesperate and hopeless feeling of the world, fertile makes you feel like you must always continue agains the odds, to never give up and keep goin
Man this whole soundtrack is so good. Travelling to Mongrel for the first time and hearing the eerie cries of Pit playing through the fog was truly an experience.
12:39 На этих нотах закончилась великая история Сниджа
Я абсолютно не ожидал, увидеть здесь комментарий о легенде)
Fertile and Main Theme are the best
Kenshi is a quiet place. Not because the dev couldn't make a big noisy world, but by choice... a sad malaconic place that narrates to you (the player), how this once alive world has turned into nothing but rust, ruin and sand.
And if you stop for a moment you can see it too... our real life home one day shall very much become the same. We will be just dust and comments in a infinite universe that is youtube. My name, my real name forgotten to this fake construct of mine.
What a time to be alive.
40:37 Uff, estaba dentro de las neblinas y de repente suena esta música. Se me puso la piel de gallina
Breath of the world is such a beautiful song it’s so crazy that it was made for a game. That song feels like it belongs with symphony masterpieces. This game has such an inspiring soundtrack.
exacto gente... música de kenshi
What an amazing soundtrack. Only just started this game.
You will enjoy immensely m8
How many times have you been eaten?
Scorching sands is better
Me give guud score to scorching sands
And you still in the game. Right?
U lucky i dont have a pc 😢
i cant explain how it feels to listen to something that not only sounds like it can be used when your winning but also losing
i cant explain how it is like listening to something that conveys as much pain and relief as you feel when your losing a fight but you just barely survive because of a random encounter with a skimmer or slave hunters
How it feels in the middle of a trip to the Ashlands:

i usually lose focus because the music is so good
Never heard of Kenshi. This is a really sweet score!
oh boy
Look it up and get into it. One of the greatest games in the world if you're willing to look past graphics
_Hey hey people, Seth here_
@@coltonsmith5997 honestly the graphics aren't THAT bad with some shaders and higher texture quality.
STFU I'm listening to Kenshi | Full Soundtrack (with Timestamps).

06:02 anyone know what that musical instrument is? it so hauntinly beautiful
Its an Erhu
Thanks
Erivanel Dias wow it really is erhu(二胡)?!
Erivanel Dias recommend some music of this instrument:
The Moon Reflected In Er-Quan
there are similar rhythms
i thought it was a violin
I love the breathing in "Breath of the World", the sharp inhales and exhales
literally the breath of the world.. and that breath is fading
Criminally underrated game.
I always love when the song at 9:00 destroys my eardrums.

I would say that over 100 of these views are from me alone. Thank you for putting this soundtrack here. Kenshi is one of my favorite games!
Just a normal Tuesday with the fellas, fighting for Kral's glory, bullying the berserker traitors and the band of bitches. decimating the dust bandits, getting ready to finally kill the bugmaster.
Ahh, the ol southern shek life is a good one.
Play most of this at 2x speed and it turns into mutilated horror music

@@rmzCrush Who are you, Narko's agent? "Beep" is just another Narko's creation, its on its way to become skeleton. Hivers are corrupted, they must be killed. Then they can return back to Okran, accept the Light and they can become humans. May Okran forgive you..

Ambient spaghetti westernpunk.. this soundtrack is amazing
my exact thoughts!
Let it play on my funeral
Музыка кенши это отдельный вид искусства
Inject the intro song in my veins.
beats to listen to while being enslaved for the 3rd time on your way to Squinn
I don't have a repair kit
Beats to listen to while your friend is eaten alive by fogmen
This game won me with 3:00
I still remember everytime I saw this game i wondered what the fuck this is. When I found out its practically an imperfect mixture of RTS and RPG my mind was blown. I ran around everywhere telling people about this glorius game. Then, suddenly I stoped playing it. Man I had a big City right in front of the Phoenix livingroom, they couldnt do shit about. I miss Beep
The Bonus track I feel gives off the feeling of hope and finalization, where all your enemies are vanquished and you can finally rebuild
this is quite a big ask but does anyone know what regions each song is from? I would love to hear more music then just the Scorching winds in the borderlands
Afaik:
Scorching Wind and Sands at Dusk play wherever there is desert, like TBZ, Stenn, Great Desert, even Stormgap Coast
Wildgrass plays most often in Flats Lagoon and Bonefields
Pit plays in Stobe's Gamble and Deadlands
Ashen Air obviously in Ashlands, Bog obviously in Wend and Swamps
44:08 I love the peaceful feeling this brings about when this plays
the peace in death
Kenshi, Jesus Christ, what an underated game and soundtrack to boot. It never got the accolades it deserved nor exposure, much like the best art we value 100s of yrs later.
Kenshi is a world in which you yourself would never want to find yourself , but this world is truly incredibly interesting and exciting, a world full of despair.
Gives off sort off Godspeed You! Black Emperor vibe
right on the money
Wouldn't have it any other way.
For sure!
How is it that the game is a 10 and the ost is a 11 lmao
The music is what makes kenshi about 20%
The soothing sound of utter desolation.
Am I the only person who uses this soundtrack to study?
OMFG. I heard the soundtrack first, and sold my soul to lofi for the actual game, and then I dont play, because I am to busy Rocking out to this fucking soundtrack. This shit hits yo!
The first Time I heard this I thought Fertile, As It Is, Breath of the World, ect... were boss music of a sort. Fought the Bosses and never found the music. But next time I fight them, I will be listening.
Fertile makes some sick king murdering music.
Why does it sound like metro

Thanks bro!
After playing 3 years I got fed up with the Kenshi in game music.
Just gona open this video when I play from now on.

I've been looking for 15:53 for the longest time, because it sounded like an alarm.
