I love Ani Dohlen, she is not only a good dancer, but her feeling for rhythm is fantastic. I was a good dancer myself when I was young, but I never learned to belly dance. I'm 64 years old now and love her videos. They are rhythmically great and simply great with the new modern Viking music. I am an icon in the Viking world and I have respect for her art! She does a great job and is simple fantastic!

Love this video, love it ❤ i often wonder if belly dance could be or is used in therapeutic applications. It seems very somatic, as If you are not leading the dance, but the dance is leading you. So the body is allowed to express freely without the inhibitions of the conscious mind. I can see how this could be used as way to release suppressed trauma or emotions. Because the dance also encompasses the use of the hips, stomach, pelvis. I see this could be used for woman to perhaps release sexually related trauma, like shame or guilt......fascinating. I shake to music as that is a good release of tension and to release emotion..most animals shake to release emotions as a way to reset the nervous system. Gorgeous video!
I don't keep a close eye out on what you do, but I guess RUclips noticed I'm always down to watch your Svanrand video (who knows how many dozens of times since it was posted 2 YEARS AGO). One thing I noticed here from a technical point of view (videography wise, I'm too much of a normie/too ignorant on the dance) is it's better positioned to show your poses and stances.
In Svanrand, as gorgeous as the location and scenery selection was, a few times the symmetry of a pose just wasn't quite shown at the best angle. Here, it seems there has been refinement and from a visual perspective is even better!
