Controversial opinion, but I think Pierce Brosnan was the best James Bond. His Bond was the most witty and the most debonair of the entire franchise. Brosnan looked so effortless and natural within the role.
i hate the Daniel Craig acting and look. He doesnt look like Bond should look in my head. He looks more like a dude that can be some wierd nemezis of main hero that is a geek rather than 007
@@drg6161 I don't find them to be the worst, but certainly not the best. He was one of the best Bonds though. I think he fixed everything about the Lazenby portrayal. Craig comes off more as an ex-SBS operator than a charming Cold War spy.
@@theonlyrobot Goldeneye was good. The rest were horrendous. Die another day was arguably the worst Bond movie ever (although no time to die definitely has given it a run for its money)
Interesting point about the Omega, I never noticed how it paired so well with almost every outfit he wore. Another great video. Roger Moore next please! Personally ,I loved his Live and let die attire, a great entrance for the actor as Bond and nice contrast to the cast/era in style. Best regards, TGV
The first generation Seamaster Professional is a stunning watch. It captures the period's aesthetic without looking dated. The bracelet is the most comfortable I've ever worn, as well. The quartz models are a bargain on the used market.
Pierce Brosnan has great style. His suits are impeccably tailored, even if they weren’t he would still look good. But I have to admit when he stated in an interview of the things he could not live without he stated he loved his Birkenstocks. Broke my heart. Love Turnbull and Asser shirts. Loved Sulka ties.
GoldenEye was a good film. I’m not a fan of his three button suit in The World is Not Enough but I did like the more casual look (Cuba) in Die Another Day. He was born to play Bond
Pierce Brosnan is my second favorite Bond Sean Connery is best. I have quite a few Blue shirts from Brooks Brothers and Charles Tyrwhitt. Navy Blazer is an essential part to any gentleman's wardrobe. You sir are really rocking that blazer and knit tie. Cheers Ron
@ShotsMerkzAll I'm a fan. Quality is terrific. But I'd suggest that you get to understand their discounting strategy before plunging in with your first order.
Wonderful video man...actually was waiting for that for a long time...why don’t you make one about raymond reddington from the blacklist or chuck bass from gossip girl?
I never realized how good his style was until you pointed out. Maybe because I never go back and watch the Brosnan Bond films. The only one I thought was good was Goldeneye. Also, you make a great point about the blue undershirt, it goes well under just about any suit jacket.
Thank you for another great dress like Bond. Pierce is one of my Favorite Bonds. If you can recommend Fossil watches you can feature Timothy Dalton for Dress Like Bond (😀).
I loved the video; he was awesome as Bond. Loved some, not all, of the clothes he wore as Remington Steele, but it was the 1980s, so I can forgive some of the clothes. If you watch the TV min-series Noble House, I love the three-piece suits he wears in the show. check it out when you have some free time.
Broz was a great Bond. Moore on the other hand, to me, was the Bond with leftover toothpaste in the corner of his mouth. Picture it and you might agree. Con, Broz and Craig qualify without question. Unbeatable agents. Cheers
It was only his last film that could be classed as amoungst the 'worst ever' Bond movies. Goldeneye is widely considered a top tier Bond film. I personally really enjoy 'The World is Not Enough'.
James, one can understand your affection for Bond :) but have you considered John Steed in the Avengers? Now he was the ultimate gentleman spy. Champagne, not classy vermouth ruined with too much vodka! He was also rather less promiscuous - just one lady at at a time, Mrs Peel, Tara King...(not sure about Cathy Gale).
What’s wrong with Timothy Dalton for you? He has done some of the best acting in the franchise, from Cinematic perspective his movies are overall superior. His portrait of the character is mature and serious, the movies are not trivial and actually interesting to watch. I would opt for him over pierce Brosnon in everything except for the style. I’d really recommend you to rewatch the movies with him, he is like George Lazenby, made very high level performance and is almost forgotten, not deserved. At all
What’s wrong with Dalton? One of the best Bond interpretations in my opinion, maybe he didn’t do it for you? Or is it something about his style? Which I don’t remember to be honest
I can see wearing brogues for Bond. I find loafers hard to run in. I have seen cop movies where they almost have to ”grip” their shoes with their toes while running turning their feet out in an akward way. A guy like him would want shoes secured to his feet that doesent slip off mid action.
Well, I immediately stopped watching after 0:12 because I totally disagree. Brosnan is peak-Bond. The worst part of the Bond series is the last 12 years we've just had.
Really didn't like his Bond, always felt like he was doing a "James Bond impression", not really becoming the character. Always "saw him acting" in his Bond movies. Connery, Moore and Dalton each defined Bond in their own way, just never felt it with Brosnan. Nothing to do with his style, lol.
Controversial opinion, but I think Pierce Brosnan was the best James Bond. His Bond was the most witty and the most debonair of the entire franchise. Brosnan looked so effortless and natural within the role.
I absolutely agree. His style and elegance within the role were the most natural on camera.
Best bond, worst movies

@@theonlyrobotSo true, well said. It was my first luxury watch for that reason, many moons ago, and too much Goldeneye on N64 too 😅😉
Hello dear fan hope your day is fine
@@theurbangentry All of our generation overdid it on the N64 Goldeneye and the Star Wars shooter.
Salute sir, excellent video on my favorite James Bond actor his style was impeccable and indeed classic and timeless he definitely owned the look!
Thank you, very much! Yes, I feel he was a natural fit for the role and all the clothes that came with it
Hello dear fantastic fan how are you doing
Brosnan was the best-dressed Bond. His look is timeless and classic. And the clothes FIT.
Pierce Brosnan has great style. His suits are impeccably tailored, even if they weren’t he would still look good. I think he was even more stylish in that era in "The Thoms Crown Affair" from the clothes to the cars to the watches...imo!
Brosnan has not only the energy but also the body. Hes figure is elegant and posh
Hello dear amazing fan how is your day going
Really enjoying all your Bond videos. The Brosnan films are great and he always really looked the part
Hello dear fantastic fan how are you doing
You can say this bond isn’t your favorite but definitely he has class and a natural charming style
I took a look at Hawes & Curtis blazers this morning. They look very good and are reasonably-priced.
Brosnan? A terrific Bond.
Hello dear fantastic fan how are you doing
He was the best Bond by far and he still looks amazing whatever the outfit he wears ❤
GoldenEye was a good film. I’m not a fan of his three button suit in The World is Not Enough but I did like the more casual look (Cuba) in Die Another Day. He was born to play Bond
I wish he had another chance! Goldeneye was good except for the tank scene - a little OTT for my taste 😅

I got several Charles Tyrwhitt dress shirts and polos. Love this brand
Glad to hear it!

@@well-blazeredman6187what do you mean by that?
I remember noticing the black belt with the brown shoes when I saw the film in the cinema so many years ago. It bothered me so much. 😉

I never thought I'd get to know what watch was really worn in the GoldenEye 007 video game. Guess I'll go buy something like it!
The first movie he wore a quartz watch. The second movie it was an automatic. But they were both Omega Seamaster Professional 300.

Blue is a great color for shirts, more depth than plain white.
It really is. I much prefer blue shirts
this is a great channel thanks for the help
Glad you're enjoying it here
Do I dare ask what are your objections about Dalton?
I loved the video; he was awesome as Bond. Loved some, not all, of the clothes he wore as Remington Steele, but it was the 1980s, so I can forgive some of the clothes. If you watch the TV min-series Noble House, I love the three-piece suits he wears in the show. check it out when you have some free time.
You need to do a video based on the late Roger Moore, who was also a great dresser during the bond franchase.
I'd love to see a similar style video on Michael Corleone from the Godfather
Brosnan is my Bond, Keaton is my Batman
Broz was a great Bond. Moore on the other hand, to me, was the Bond with leftover toothpaste in the corner of his mouth. Picture it and you might agree. Con, Broz and Craig qualify without question.
Unbeatable agents.
Cheers
As a naval officer, Bond would obviously know how to properly dress around water.
He wears a suit like no other.the best. Connery was the best looking, and Craig was the most athletic and rugged
Is the suit from Tomorrow Never Dies really flannel? I read somewhere that its a Birdseye pattern.
It’s flannel. He wears a navy birdseye suit in all 4 of his films, but not in the scene being depicted in the video.
James, who is your favorite vintage Bond actor?
It was only his last film that could be classed as amoungst the 'worst ever' Bond movies. Goldeneye is widely considered a top tier Bond film. I personally really enjoy 'The World is Not Enough'.

Dress me up in a tux❤❤🎉🎉
What's your beef with Timothy Dalton?
Sean Connery is the G.O.A.T
Then Daniel Craig (he's more of a silent ninja Assassin type)

Not a fan of his style in the movies or the flicks themselves, personally
I find it amazing that he was considered the best actor for the job at the time
Dalton was more grit than charm. Hard to picture him as a ladies man@@Gent.Z
He's always played the villain better
I can see wearing brogues for Bond.

I have seen cop movies where they almost have to ”grip” their shoes with their toes while running turning their feet out in an akward way.
A guy like him would want shoes secured to his feet that doesent slip off mid action.
😁 George Lazenby
I would add the proviso that a gentleman would only wear what an icon wore if he liked it.
Otherwise, where is his individuality?
Shaving is a good way improve your outfit.
