The legion would have fallen with either of them in charge. The NCR were already weak as hell and the Legion would have fallen as they would lose the East.

@The nova renaissance actually alot of the alleged plans for a more legion focused story (Cut from NV) included seeing what life is like in the legion lands, namely the east side of the colorado river. It was supposed to show people getting by quite well and including free women and non legionnaires. The key point to remember is NV parts that are shown are in an active warzone and so slaves and whatnot would be around for maximum efficiency. But Obsidian allegedly had plans to show free people in legion territory, mostly women as mothers and caregivers rather than what we only saw which was the most stereotypical form of slavery
@@savvyslie1833 Yeah, ideally the legion would be a patriarchal and culturally homogeneous society where slavery exists, but there are other kinds of less harsh relationships, just like the real roman empire
Lanius is objectivly worst than Caesar but people are underestimating him too much,he is just some barbarian, from his dialogue and backstory we see that he has some intelligence but he is not fit to be Caesar. He could well lead the Legion to California but the big impact is not that the legion collapses,it never does Caesar or not, victory at the dam or not,it is that instead of the civilized, advanced and traditional society that Caesar envisions becomes something like Prussia,an army with a state under Lanius or at worst a mongol/russian empire.

And to think that the sole reason why most players don’t go his route is because they can’t bring themselves to execute a bunch of backwards-thinking techno-hoarders. Why? Because they’re badasses with badass armor. I felt for the Brotherhood the first time around during my initiation. The longer I was around them, the more I gradually lost my respect for them. It made me regret betraying Mr. House in my first playthrough when I learned just how right he was.
@@whoareyoutoaccuseme6588 i agree 100%, besides this. The Legion show faith. No fear in death. Smallest amount of attachment to this world. I dislike how misinformed the "standard soldier" is though, granted it would be different in real life. Also dislike hpw they worship Caesar, i like the discipline in a way, the loyalty, the bonding, but the slavery, eh. There are many heavy pros and cons i have with the Legion and although they may be a little wicked,, they detest and are putting a pause to progressing how the world is today, a crowded shit show of people with little purpose, at least in the US. As a believer in God personally" all the other factions , especially Mr. House, are way too involved in constantly upgrading, what use does going to space have? What value is your purpose in this world if it is just to try to escape it within your body? A little illogical for Mr. Logic on that one. But Mr. House ceetainly is the best option. For he sees the flaws in the human mind. In mankind. And is all about efficiency, but to be that attatched to this world is disturbing. Idk. In truth i dislike all the factions. All of them besides the boomers are pretty much an abomination. Oh and also Joshua Graham and his tribe in Zion. Nonethless....iexplained at first my first outlook of positives of the Legion but there are just too many obvious red flags that make them a disgrace as well. Other than their cool armor. I just expected more faith and higher purpose rather than just "a better way of doing things" from the tribes that makes up the Legion. You would think they would be able to hold some kind of past morals and such but theybare stripped ofall their idenity. NCR is a jokr and the courier being a dicatator is also a joke but appeals to power hungry people i suppose. Just as most factiions are.

@@monowires I've said the same in another comment chain below this video: Caesar is wrong about Lanius. The way you can talk to Lanius when he's your final boss, with the Speech and Barter checks, it shows that Lanius is _actually_ loyal to the legion, or has its well-being at heart, way more than Caesar believes. He's way more than the myth created around him (a brute interested in just winning no matter the cost). That myth is very effective though and works in favor of the Legion which is why Lanius keeps it up.
i think caesar wanted to use the legion to demonstrate his own power, while the legate was more interested in the power of the legion as a whole, so long as it had powerful people such as himself backing it. does that make sense? caesar wanted people to fear his name more than they feared that of the legion (probably why he called it caesar's legion), but the legate wanted people to fear the legion as an entire entity. but this is just my interpretation!
Something I kind of wish you could do, Killing Ceasar then attacking Lanius. I work for the Legion, until I have the opportunity to destroy both their leaders.

@AcrolonI understand its just a video game, but you wouldnt be saying any of that if you were forced to be made a slave for a facist dictator, and had to see all females in your family raped, enslaved, and reduced to breeders for a brainwashed violent cult, and see all the males in your family that refused to be a slave crucified and beheaded for caesars pleasure. The ncr may be corrupt, but at least they have some redeeming qualities.Slavery is and always be inhumane and if you think its "necessary" i dont even want to know how you think of slavery in reality.
*You take a sip from your trusty Vault 13 canteen.*
People forget that this is the ending if Benny killed the courier.
No, it’s not a secret ending. ‘uncommon’ would be a better term.
Lanius is metal af
When caesar kills people they're put to death by brutal means for all to see so the survivors kneel in fear.
Lanius just likes watching heads roll.
Ave true to caesar
TRUE TO CAESAR!
NCR my loyalty lies with NCR
1:00 Sasuke?
Same va, so yeah.
As well as Ben 10
Nobody ever actually does the Vault 19 Questline.
I never even found them and I spent forever just randomly walking around they must not have been that important
I only found them through the perk that lets you view all the locations of the Mojave Wasteland. I was already at level 30, and I wanted to explore every nook and cranny before I go.
I blew them up, of course.
@@mikemorris5681 i always found them and either killed them or helped them move away with the great khans with the followers
Lanius voiceactor is so fucking good.
Lanius is not a good commander and especially he's not a good Caesar:
He hates the Legion and he isn't afraid to show it.
He is a horrible strategist as he kills random people for futile reasons.
The Legion will definitely last less with Lanius as it's caesar.
The legion would have fallen with either of them in charge. The NCR were already weak as hell and the Legion would have fallen as they would lose the East.
@Heebus Chrikey He's a lot better than Oliver that's for sure
@Heebus Chrikey dork
@Heebus Chrikey quit with the cringe buddy
he does not hate the legion
What is the hidden ending?
Hidden is...life it self?
Legion lead by Lanius become Caesar Lanius???
Not hidding of that... maybe the future Legion will hide and cover Lanius and Caesar wasnt 1 npc???
Mojave Wasteland maybe is the hidden end???
Or or title was fonny, dispicable publicity like many publicity on this fake and trickest world
@@razofdead Did you have a stroke, buddy?
LaconicMarksman i wish... or something... i had “healthy” brain... or whatever
@@razofdead Get checked, my dude.
LaconicMarksman already did... not normal... but can live in society not dangerous to others 👍🏽
Lanius is wearing centurion armour instead of his own in the endslide
Josh Sawyer said when they made the slideshow his armor wasn't finished yet
Yeah, compared to the more normal endings the Legion shows how it is done. One great power intimating the smaller evils in laying low. No Raiders, no Mutants, save roads, don't even need caravan guards.
Just imagin playing in a Legion controlled Wasteland... would be a while to find enemies to level up.
And then you get sold into slavery
And then you get crucified for being gay
@The nova renaissance actually alot of the alleged plans for a more legion focused story (Cut from NV) included seeing what life is like in the legion lands, namely the east side of the colorado river. It was supposed to show people getting by quite well and including free women and non legionnaires. The key point to remember is NV parts that are shown are in an active warzone and so slaves and whatnot would be around for maximum efficiency. But Obsidian allegedly had plans to show free people in legion territory, mostly women as mothers and caregivers rather than what we only saw which was the most stereotypical form of slavery
@@omogHL i can agree with that actually lmao
@@savvyslie1833 Yeah, ideally the legion would be a patriarchal and culturally homogeneous society where slavery exists, but there are other kinds of less harsh relationships, just like the real roman empire
I think the Original Caesar's ending is more pleasant
Fallout new Vegas ending always gives me chills
Geez even in this ending the vault 19 powder gangers feel so disconnected and out of place
So legate absolutely trashed mojave and he kills the Kings, the worst crime of them all. This is the absolute worst ending
Every. Damn. Time! Those Vault 19 Powder Gangers are just at it again. Always out here terrorizing the Mojave wasteland. Even as the Legion pushes out the rest of those Powder Gangers who wind up being crucified, the Vault 19 Powder Gangers just keep at their shenanigans.
This is what 18 months do to development
3:31 I find it interesting how Lanius wears Centurion armor here.
Damn only just noticed that
They had not made his armor yet and used it as a placeholder
Only good ending
The lack of music makes the ending so eerie.

*Courier sips while watching the ending movie.*
Anyone else have this ending on their first playthrough or? Lol
I doubt many players went for legion first. According to the worldwide Steam achievement stats for FNV, the legion ending achievement has the least amount of people who accomplished it. Independent has the most, then NCR, then House.
@@whoareyoutoaccuseme6588 Well, not only Legion play through first time, but this exact ending first time. But yes Surprising to me most people choose NCR over Legion. Goes to show, if the world had a reset button. Things wouldnt be much different.
@@lupression4457 To me, Mr. House is the best choice for New Vegas. The man’s got lots of plans for the future of humanity, including space travel.
There is a value and honor in their way of life other than....the imperialism. But then again, they at least aim for some kind of higher purpose, the higher ups at least.
@@whoareyoutoaccuseme6588 so perosnally. If I was the courier. I would just spend the rest of my days with Joshua. The only man of true wisdom in the game. But one i can rekate to as the courier. First being with the Legion. Then seeing how retched they truly are. Love that character. Not even his bad assery. His wisdom. His genuine care. His faith. Redemption. Gives it to you raw. In a world where everyone just likes to talk. He was the only to truly speak. Awesome stuff to me.
It’s actually so deep that even a nuclear war can’t teach humanity that war is not the answer
I love this game but look at this 3:18 - shows how unpolished the game is. Why is Legate Lanius have his helmet but is wearing centurion armor lols
@Cryna just shows how unpolished it is.
@Cryna I'm not complaining I am just pointing something out. Would have been a far better game if they had more time!
Kinda stinks how nobody cares if you save Caesar lol
Muntants make ya thirsty
I helped the Leigon in just 1 of my campaigns, and I did it using a female character.
I hate that you can't fight in the arena to kill ncr prisioners if you have a female character. But you can still fight Benny 1on1
If you finished the TV series this is the most likely canon ending.
1:59 lol was that delayed death of Caesar?

@@valitsemllaluokanavahyvaks3556 That's even worse then isn't it?
Literally the worst ending you can get lmfao
It's worse if you blow up the dam, blow up the securitron factory, don't ally yourself with no one and just do the yes man ending.
Basically you have a limited army of securitron that sooner or later will die and everyon in the mojave will just create more chaos.
@@fulvio3211 pretty much the Speedrunner ending. Most likely the Brotherhood is able to assume a lot of power over other groups by commandeering the ARCHIMEDES weapon.
You take a sip from your trusty Vault 13 Canteen
Wouldn’t say it’s much of a secret
It's more of an evil legion ending where you kill Caesar using a surgical machine so that Lanius takes power.
The Disappointed Thing About (Caesar), Is That You Can't Wears His Helmet and Armor, After You Kil.ling Him!.
the legate is evil as shit but he has good voice acting
Evil only to those who aren't loyal to the Legion.
@@cyrusol he's not really loyal to the legion though, even caesar says this. he says the legate has no love for the legion or its ideals. the legate does what he does solely because it's what he's good at + enjoys doing.
@@cyrusol thats true, but i do think he holds a different perception of it than caesar does, at the very least.
i think caesar wanted to use the legion to demonstrate his own power, while the legate was more interested in the power of the legion as a whole, so long as it had powerful people such as himself backing it. does that make sense?
caesar wanted people to fear his name more than they feared that of the legion (probably why he called it caesar's legion), but the legate wanted people to fear the legion as an entire entity. but this is just my interpretation!
3:14 : What the hell is that? This armor is horrible!
1:22 awww you got to go with the bottom line...
I love legate Lanius volice
I personally have never seen out a legion play through only sided with them to get the lucky shades

I fought at the second battle of hoover dam and all I got was this stupid coin!
Basically nothing cahnges except a few scenes and one or two extra factions destroyed
How is this secret?
Something I kind of wish you could do, Killing Ceasar then attacking Lanius. I work for the Legion, until I have the opportunity to destroy both their leaders.
What if you led the legion?

So secret that everyone has known about it since the game came out.
