Many thanks for the wonderful video of cleaning and adjusting of turntable and indexing and the good explanation of the math for the successful result, thanks again. Jim from AUSTRALIA.
@@marceloiannini8199 Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate the comment. Not sure it is a genius idea but it works well for me. The magnet backed dial does not stick great on the rounded surface. I made a collar for the tail stock so I can put the dial on the flat top of the tail stock and read off the collar and that works much better. You can check that video out here to see what I mean. ruclips.net/video/iQfGHEMSYnI/видео.htmlsi=jrh2OMavZ659y16e.
@jimhailmann3543 - Appreciate the feedback, glad you liked it. Used to visit up near Branson each year for a family reunion, great place. My boys both loved Silver Dollar City.
I'm considering a full universal dividing head just to push my abilities to the next level. For a project like this I would have jus used my spin index.
Larry Schweitzer - Thanks for the comment. I don’t own a spin indexer, but yes that would definitely have been a good choice for this simple project. A full universal head should be a lot of fun and pushing your abilities is part of the appeal of this hobby. Should make for some great projects.
KW - Thanks for watching and I appreciate the feedback, you are not the first one to let me know I sounded like I was talking in all caps. I have tried to work on my audio and overall audio quality. So I hope you will give one of my more recent videos a try.
Ted H - Thanks for the comment. I could not agree more, safety around these machines is critical and my apologies for demonstrating anything less than proper safety. Proof that reminders are in order to ensure bad habits don’t creep in.

James Nicholson - Jim, thanks for the comment and glad the video was helpful. I have a few other subs in Australia, appreciate you watching.
Thanks for all the knowledge transfer!
My pleasure!
Thanks for the lesson! Enjoyed watching it!
Did you mount a dial indicator with a magnet to the tailstock, am I seeing a genius idea?

Very informative channel. Hard to listen to the yelling though. Especially with the echo in the shop. Just FYI

Hands near a spinning Chuck a no no, I have to say it even though I know you know it.
